Our experience with Liz was truly wonderful! With Liz, you will feel safe, heard, & held through one of the most important moments of your life. When we initially spoke, it was probably 2 minutes into the conversation when we knew she was the right doula. The call ended, my husband & I looked at each other & immediately said, "I LOVED her." Liz laid out everything that we should expect, & did it in a way where we didn't feel judged. Others had tried to convince us that we had unresolved trauma, or had made mistakes in previous births. Liz's trust in us knowing what we needed was so reassuring. During the pregnancy, Liz is there if you need her, checking in to see how appts. went, & getting a feel for your mindset approaching birth. Liz was vital in my ability to remain calm as my due date came, then passed by 9 days! We discussd ways to help encourage labor, different scenarios as 42 weeks approached, & reassurances that my baby & body knew what they were doing. Being a 3rd time mom I really thought I knew it all, but when things went so much longer than we all expected, I was so grateful to have Liz's calm & confident presence. At OBC, Liz arrived exactly when I needed her. She easily fit into the flow of labor offering assistance to me, & guiding my husband to help through contractions. Liz understands when to step to the forefront, & also when to hang back. Her experience & presence in the birthing space made me feel more supported & calm than I had previously. My labor was fast, but I never felt like I lost control. Liz took stunning photos during birth, capturing all of the phases of labor, recovery, & beautiful shots of the baby. The photos will be cherished by our family for the rest of our lives! Liz doesn't disappear after you're done having the baby. She checks in during your recovery at home, & even comes to visit. We loved working with Liz!

Five Stars Isn't Enough for Ms. Riley There are some people who come into your life during your darkest moments and leave a permanent impact. For me, that person was Ms. Riley. I hired Ms. Riley as my NICU Doula while pregnant with my twins, and from the very beginning she was by my side. She was there for my birth, she supported me throughout the entire three months that my twins were in the NICU, and after they were discharged, she continued caring for my babies as our NICU Newborn Care Specialist for an additional three months. In total, Ms. Riley walked alongside my family for six incredibly important months of our journey. What makes her support even more meaningful is the fact that I had no family support system. During my pregnancy, my husband decided to divorce me when I was only four months pregnant with twins. I was facing one of the most difficult seasons of my life, feeling scared, overwhelmed, and alone. Through it all, Ms. Riley was a constant source of support, encouragement, and compassion. Ms. Riley has a way of making every mother feel seen, heard, and cared for. She affectionately calls us her "baby mothers," and I have to admit, that always made me laugh during a time when I desperately needed something to smile about. It may seem like a small thing, but her ability to bring comfort, humor, and warmth into difficult situations is truly a gift. She consistently went above and beyond for me and my twins. Whether it was providing guidance, emotional support, newborn care expertise, or simply being present when I needed someone most, she showed up every single time. I never felt judged, rushed, or alone. Instead, I felt supported, empowered, and capable as a first-time mother navigating an unexpected and challenging journey. Ms. Riley, it is so clear that this is your calling. The love, dedication, patience, and commitment you bring to your families cannot be taught. You have a rare gift, and I truly believe doors will continue to open for you because of the impact you have on the lives of mothers and babies. We need more people like you, not only in newborn care but throughout the healthcare industry as a whole. I will absolutely be booking Ms. Riley's services again when I'm ready to return to work, even though I work remotely, because the peace of mind she provides is priceless. I am giving Ms. Riley five stars, but honestly, stars don't come close to describing how she made me feel. If you truly understand what a halo represents, then that's what she deserves: unlimited halos. I had a wonderful experience with Debbie and the 5-Day Postpartum Check. I didn’t know what questions I would have as a first time mom - but I was able to ask Debbie every day in that first week after returning home from the hospital. All the unknowns were a quick answer and short video that Debbie could send me right away. Debbie even made time to check in my with husband to answer his questions. I highly recommend the 5-Day Postpartum Check with Debbie! She saved me hours of sifting through research and gave me practical alternatives to every question!

I feel so blessed that I was able to have Jenna during the end of my pregnancy, during the birth of my son, and postpartum. It is so evident that she really cares so much, and I was so grateful for all the check ins during my pregnancy and postpartum!! No question was ever too much for her and I’m so grateful for her extensive knowledge, kindness and care. Before I went to Jade's childbirth class at Montclair BABY, I had never heard of a doula. Her class was holistic of all the options during labor and delivery, and my husband and I felt like Jade could be the perfect support person to ease my anxiety during pregnancy and labor. We were absolutely right. Jade offered continuous comfort and information for me throughout my pregnancy. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough and gave advice for things I hadn't even considered. Being someone who has always been terrified of childbirth, Jade eased my anxiety leaps and bounds. We prepared for it beforehand, but once I went into labor, Jade supported us over the phone and at my home before we went to the hospital. My birth went from something that I used to fear, to something I now look back on with fond memories (I think that's a wild transformation) and I truly credit a lot of that to Jade. She was an advocate for me at the hospital, she rarely left my side except when I needed alone time with my husband, and she encouraged me. She worked cooperatively with the rest of the birth team. Dare I say birth was actually a little fun? I whole heartedly recommend Jade as a doula and would love to have her at my future births. There really aren't enough words to describe how grateful I am for her.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Wis!!! Though she wasn’t physically in my delivery room, she played a big part in my birth. She provided so much information that was not only interesting but very useful. She helped me a lot when it came to advocating for myself as a high risk mom. I had a few situations where I felt uncomfortable about the circumstances around how my child was born but Wis prayed with me and provided valuable resources so that I could make informed decisions about my care. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cheryl and the support she provided throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. From the beginning, Cheryl and I connected so well, and I immediately felt comfortable with her. As a first-time mom, that was so important to me. I was in a new city, delivering at a new hospital, and trusting a care team I had never worked with before, so having someone in my corner who I genuinely trusted made such a difference. One of the things I appreciated most was how much Cheryl prepared both my husband and I before I went into labor. She helped us create our birth plan, taught us different exercises, positions, and circuits I could use to prepare for labor and during labor, and most importantly, taught us how to advocate for ourselves and communicate what I wanted during my birth experience. That preparation gave us so much more confidence going into the hospital. Her support continued immediately after I gave birth. Cheryl helped me navigate those first moments of postpartum, including helping my baby latch for breastfeeding, which meant so much to me as a first-time mom. She made sure I felt supported, comfortable, and cared for during such a new and vulnerable moment. What makes Cheryl even more amazing is that her care didn’t stop after I gave birth. Five months postpartum, she STILL checks in, not only to see how I’m doing and adjusting to motherhood, but also to ask about my baby and my husband. She remembers our names, asks about each of us, and genuinely cares about how we’re doing as a family. She has also made it a priority to hear and understand my experience as a first-time Black mother, which has been incredibly meaningful to me. Her support has never felt like simply providing a service and moving on once the baby was born. The connection we built is genuine, and it’s clear that Cheryl truly cares about the mother, the baby, and the family as a whole. I’m so grateful that Cheryl was part of such an important chapter in our lives. She made me feel heard, prepared, cared for, and supported during one of the biggest transitions of my life. If you’re looking for a doula who is knowledgeable and compassionate but also someone who will genuinely get to know you and care about your family beyond your delivery day, I HIGHLY recommend Cheryl. ❤️
