About me

Hello! My name is Janet. I have over 15+ years of experience as a Doula and Birth Educator. I am passionate about the work I do and honored to share your birth journey with you. I teach Birth Education Classes online and in your home if you are local to me., All classes include a postpartum follow up and postpartum check-ins as needed. I attend births as a Doula on a limited basis, generally taking one client per month. I have experience supporting clients that are giving birth at home, in the hospital or a birth center. I will assist you in creating a birth plan if you desire one. Together we will discuss what your plans are for your birth, whether you plan to go unmedicated, or desire pain medication. You will have support from an experienced Doula to make sure your questions are answered and you have the tools you need to feel confident and empowered. I facilitate an online VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) Support Group which helps those who are planning a VBAC or want to learn how to avoid a primary cesarean. I’m looking forward to meeting you and assisting you on your pregnancy journey!

Where to start? My husband and I met Janet earlier in our pregnancy when we decided we wanted to have a doula for our first birthing experience. As soon as I spoke with Janet, I knew it was going to be a great match. Janet not only took care of me, she also made sure my husband was taken care of. During our prenatal meetings, she asked us a lot of questions about what we wanted for our birth experience and took our wishes very seriously. She did not try to push anything onto us and made sure we were making educated decisions on subjects we weren’t as familiar with. Janet came with an abundance of resources and knowledge, as well as a lot of experience. Leading up to the day I went into labor, Janet and I spoke on a very regular basis via text and she was always available for any questions I had. During my labor, Janet helped to remind me the techniques we discussed in our prenatal meetings and to take things one contraction at a time. I am so thankful for her and could not recommend her doula services more.

Janet helped me have my dream birth and was instrumental in my vbac. Her calming presence and support before, during, and after birth is something I will never be able to repay her for. Thank you Janet!

We spoke with a few doulas and were honestly unsure if hiring one was even right for us—but the moment we talked with Janet, we knew she was the perfect fit. She made every part of our pregnancy better. From educating us and preparing us for what to expect, to consistently checking in on mom and dad, to guiding us through early labor and being at our side during delivery, Janet was everything we needed and more. Her calm demeanor helped us stay grounded, she supported us in sticking to our birth plan, and she was the ideal advocate and support person throughout the entire process. Our doctors and medical team raved about her—her professionalism, her deep knowledge, and the genuine care she showed for us as a family. Even after delivery, Janet has continued to check in, offer guidance, and be a trusted resource whenever we need her. We truly couldn’t tell the story of our daughter’s birth without including Janet. She was an incredible part of our journey, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

I’ve taken three months to write this review and it’s honestly because the newborn stage with a toddler can be wild. I LOVED working with Janet. I found her through Instagram and took a chance not knowing what would happen but hoping I could have more support than what I got with my first pregnancy from my provider. She did not disappoint, on the contrary, she excelled and exceeded all my expectations. I’m based in Florida and she’s in Jersey so I did the telehealth support program and the value that I received was great. She helped me learn so much, answered all my questions, gave me information that I didn’t know I needed and helped me tremendously in getting my VBAC! She empowered me with so much knowledge that when someone said a “BUT” I felt equipped to question it without accepting it when I knew it wasn’t right. She helped me not only with knowledge but she empowered me to advocate for myself. If it wouldn’t have been for her, the fear that tends to be associated with regular doctors and VBAC would’ve led me to a c section. She helped me find the best options for me and gave me sources to read myself. She was so kind and sweet and wonderful throughout the entire process. She may not have been physically with me but I spoke to her so much at the hospital when I went in and she was super responsive every time before as well (including night before). I can’t recommend her enough. I wish I would’ve had her with me physically because I know without a doubt that I would’ve been able to do it without medication because she is so knowledgeable and supportive. But even remotely she was a guiding light and now I get to say that I’ve been both a c section mama and vaginal and I’m so grateful I got to experience it and I know if it wouldn’t have been for her, it wouldn’t have been possible. So if you’re on the fence, take this as a sign. Work with her, you’ll be so grateful for it!

Janet is a truly wonderful doula and a valued part of our provider network. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the care and compassion she brings to her clients, especially those planning a VBAC. She has such a calming, kind presence and offers exactly the kind of steady, supportive energy that makes such a difference during birth. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a VBAC-savvy, heart-centered doula.

Janet was so amazing and spot on with helping with the birth and pregnancy complications my niece was having. Everything that was happening while pregnant and giving birth Janet was spot on. Her knowledge definitely put us as a family at ease and my niece Amanda had a natural birth, a healthy/ beautiful baby girl, and we definitely couldn't have done it without her. I would absolutely recommend Janet to anyone that I know who is expecting and will continue to reach out to her for her expertise anytime anyone in my family is expecting.

Janet attended the birth of my third baby, and I’m so grateful she was by my side. Her calming presence was a huge part of why I achieved my VBAC. With her there, I never once doubted that I could do it.

Janet was present at the birth of my son, and her calming presence made all the difference. As a first-time mom, I was anxious and unsure of what to expect, but she guided me through the process with reassurance and support. My labor progressed beautifully, thanks in part to her steady encouragement. Janet offered thoughtful advice while always respecting my wishes for the day. I’m so grateful to have known and worked with her.
