She supported my feeding goals, whether I wanted her to bring me baby to breastfeed or wanted her to offer baby a bottle so I could get some extra sleep. Did an intro class for postpartum/newborn care and it was super informative! I feel much more confident for when my baby arrives in April. Erin demonstrated swaddling and diapering and also had me practice it a few times. Very hands on. She taught me about feeding times and sleep schedule and the resources to support these. Most importantly, she gave me tips on how to take care of me too. It is also a bonus that she is a mom of 2, a toddler and a baby so she’s very experienced and has done it all twice more recently (in a short timeframe too!). Looking forward to doing more sessions with her.

Harmony's assistance was invaluable to us during my pregnancy, labor, delivery, and post partum. She helped me to understand a lot of the processes both that my body would go through and that the medical system would put me through, which was incredibly helpful in making more informed decisions and planning for what would be an unorthodox birth. Harmony helped me flesh out my birth plan more completely, which helped me to feel more in control when the time came to make medical decisions. Additionally, she was there through a significant portion of my LONG labor and assisted not only with that process, but also with providing support to my teenage daughter, who was present for labor and who experienced some anxiety because of it. She video called with me in the hospital during my recovery to help me navigate caring for my babies and preparing for breastfeeding despite their need for NICU treatment. Harmony went above and beyond to connect me with someone who could help me with the challenges of breastfeeding twins when I struggled post-partum. We truly cannot imagine what this process would've looked like without her and would (and already have!) recommended her highly to friends and family!

When I contacted Britt, I was 12 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I really desired to have a relationship with my doctor, but since most OBGYN practices have you seeing multiple professionals, I was not getting that. I was desiring to go the natural birth-in-a-hospital route and hearing other friends’ stories, a doula sounded like the perfect fit. Britt was recommended by one of my friends who had Britt attend and help at all three of her babies’ births. Britt offered us a birthing course in our home, she gave us literature and resources to use an practice as we anticipated our first birth, she was ALWAYS responsive when texted or called, was informed about alternatives such as the Fresh Test, and she was a great help and encouragement to my husband pre-birth, during labor and delivery and after birth. Britt knew what I wanted - when we got to the hospital and we were almost put into a room without a tub, she was there ADVOCATING for us (since a tub room was available and it was my hope to labor in one). Britt is levelheaded, intelligent, witty, and has an excellent sense of humor. She tells it like it is. She is loving and compassionate - truly a gift from heaven.
