We are first-time parents with no family / support nearby, and Tori has been an absolute godsend the past few weeks! She helped us with overnights starting shortly after birth for about 7 weeks. Her warmth, gentleness, and expertise with newborns immediately put us at ease and helped me (the birthing partner) get much-needed rest. She provided support with breastfeeding as well as bottle feeding later on, gently working with our refluxy and sleepy eater to get enough down each night. Tori was amazing to work with. We hired them as a doula about a month prior to giving birth. We only wish we had found Tori sooner! Their pre-birth visits put as at ease, despite my wife having a high-risk pregnancy and upcoming labor. Even knowing we were scheduled for a planned induction due to health concerns, Tori walked us through all options pre-birth. We didn't realize how valuable it would be to think about our desires. Tori helped us set aside what we knew was happening (the induction) and focus on what we really wanted out of the birth experience.
We went in for our induction on 12/23 and Tori was right there to get us settled. They offered to stay with us throughout the entire process, or return when active labor began. We opted to have Tori come back the next day, but they continually checked in on us throughout the induction which was very helpful. When Tori returned, they did an excellent job of helping with breathing, positioning, and offering support to my wife and myself as the birth support partner.
Following delivery, Tori continued to check on us and brought over a (delicious!) home cooked meal. Having this support after delivery was really meaningful to us, especially as we don't have close family in town. Thank you Tori, and Whole Body Birth for wonderful support services! Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for doula support.

Tori knows how to put people at ease. Their space is cozy, warm, and dark - perfect for unwinding! I got to choose the music I prefered to have on during the session and I chose ocean sounds. I also added on cupping for $30 more (highly recommend!). Tori was considerate of my comfort, always asking how the suction felt on the cups and if they could adjust the pressure of their hands. The hot towel at the end of the session to wipe my face was an unexpected but greatly appreciated added touch. Tori knows how to create a relaxing experience - highly recommend!

I would recommend anyone use Tori to support their labor and birth experience! I booked a massage with her 9 days past my due date at 6pm, I went into labor 9 hours later naturally. Had my baby without medical intervention the SAME DAY. Miraculous. I understand the massage likely wasn't the only force putting me into labor however I truly believe the pressure points, relaxation, and Tori's skilled hands aided in moving my labor along. Cannot thank her enough.
I also used Tori's services as a Doula, I ended up laboring unmedicated much longer than anticipated and Tori's support, tools, and pain management techniques truly are the only things that got me through to 8cm unmedicated. She consistently offered advice about switching up positions and also was unwaveringly empathetic to the situation. Working with Tori during our pregnancy and birth was the best decision we could've made for the birth of our first child. Throughout the pregnancy, Tori checked in on our progress and how we were doing mentally/emotionally. During our prenatal appointments, Tori took the time to educate us about the birthing process, pain management techniques, and how my partner could best support me throughout labor. Tori also has massage services as part of her business which I took advantage of during my pregnancy to relieve achy muscles and general discomfort. When it came time to deliver, Tori was extremely supportive, reminding us of coping techniques, helping us make decisions about the delivery, evaluating risks and benefits, and even capturing all the sweet moments of our delivery with high quality pictures. Lastly, Tori made sure we were supported in recovery at the hospital and once we returned home. During our postnatal appointment, Tori had great notes from the birth which made reflecting on the birth easier and allowed us to "close the chapter" nicely. Tori also brought us a home cooked meal which was immensely helpful the first few days after returning home. Tori is a magician!
I am so thankful to Tori for the work she's done on my body. I have many injuries, from shoulders to ankles, and working in childcare means my body is under constant strain from picking up big, heavy babies. Usually when I go to a massage therapist for corrective work, I'm left feeling more pain. I need someone who listens to me and understands that I know the kind of care I need. I can't just have someone lightly touch my injury so I can "relax."
Tori not only listens to what I'm saying, she listens to my body. And I always notice a significant difference. I was experiencing joint pain deep in my knee, due to it taking on significant strain from a sprained ankle. After working with her, I can walk without feeling pain with every step!
