About me

Hi, I’m Beth the Birthworker. I’m a mama, Doula, Entrepreneur and a major advocate for AUTHENTICITY! I am a highly intuitive, empathetic and compassionate Guide whose passion is to assist birthing people. I am an experienced Birth and Postpartum Doula and a Photographer, Counselor and Coach. But even more importantly, I am also a Sacred Mother and a gifted healer. I love helping people become the most aligned version of themselves by being a Safe Space. In my free time, you will find me spending quality time with my husband and children playing silly games, going on adventures and having deep philosophical conversations about life. I love to solve problems and use my creativity to make people's lives better. For 15 years, I had a career in the non-profit space working with adults with special needs. I have also been a professional nanny, caregiver for the elderly, hospice provider, volunteer with homeless shelters, and preschool teacher. My passion for being of service to others shines through in everything I do. As a Birth Doula, my intention is to tailor my support to your individual needs so that you can show up as the best version of yourself for your birth. If you need someone to be very hands-on, I will do that! If you prefer someone to quietly hold space and offer words of encouragement, I’ve got you. If you need someone to guide your birth partner so they can better support you, I will help them. Or, if you need someone to task your mother-in-law with missions so you can have a break, I’m on it😉. This is YOUR birth, and you are in control. However, if the moment gets scary or frustrating or you feel like you’ve reached your limit, I will step in to offer guidance and support. As a Postpartum Doula, my intention is to make your home and your experience with your baby as positive as possible. My services include practical support such as help with breastfeeding/chestfeeding, prepping snacks, washing bottles/pump parts, doing baby laundry, unloading the dishwasher, etc. I also offer emotional and energetic support by being a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and a guide through the unknown and confusing parts of bringing home baby. I can provide you with resources where you need them and give you a break so you can take a few moments to yourself. Communication is key to any successful relationship. If we choose to work together, I will insist on spending time together to come up with your “DREAM” birth plan, as well as contingencies that work for everyone involved. That way, when we show up for your baby’s arrival, we will all be on the same page! I encourage you to interview multiple Doulas and use your intuition to guide you in your choice! No hard feelings and also, I hope we are a great fit! 💜Beth the Birthworker See more reviews on Google! https://maps.app.goo.gl/Cof43fPd4V75eSqK7

5 stars isn’t nearly enough for what an amazing doula Beth is. She is not only knowledgeable, supportive, caring, and kind but she also empowered both my husband and I throughout the pregnancy and birth of our first child. She gave us an idea of what to expect, provided skills which helped us get through some common birthing experiences, assisted us in managing unexpected issues which arose, and surrounded us with a sense of calm as we experienced all these unknowns for the first time. She also was an amazing support after the birth as we navigated our first few weeks with a newborn and continues to be a person I know I can reach out to, even as we enter into our 4th month. If you have the opportunity to have Beth as a doula, you are truly lucky. I highly recommend her and cannot stress that enough!

We used Beth Brooks as our birth doula and had a perfect experience. She helped me through labor and acted as another advocate for me while at the hospital in order to have the natural birth I wanted. She showed my husband how he could be more involved and I couldn't have made it through without her help. We also have hired her as a postpartum doula and it has been amazing! I was afraid I would develop postpartum depression again but with Beth around I don't see that happening this time. She has been so helpful not only with the baby but also with our other kids, helping around the house, and giving both my husband and I a break to feel a little bit more like ourselves again. We feel so comfortable with her! She is a pleasure to talk to and we consider her family now.
