I practice trauma informed, perinatal, birth, and postpartum support for all birthing bodies, couples, single and single by choice parents, adoptive parents, and families on their surrogacy journeys. My support is queer competent, weight inclusive and intersectional, and it is always my priority to support people getting the care that helps them feel safe and seen, essential to the health and wellness of both baby and family. I know first hand how beautiful, challenging and exhausting childbirth and parenting is, and I come with a wealth of personal and professional experience to share with you.

Recent review

Melanie Guymon is a superb CFSD. She spent nights with our little bub for 2+months, she gave us a reprieve and support during the difficult newborn days hard. We had a colicliky baby and Melanie not only helped us advocate to our doctors that our baby might have reflux, but she also gave us superb tips on how to help ease her discomfort at night and during the day. During her time with us Melabie also helped us prepare our baby to move out of the swaddle, and due to her tips, our baby seamlessly transitioned from her Snoo + bassinet and into her crib and a sleep sack. She continued to support us with sleep coaching as well, helping us with our babies sleep schedule, which has allowed our baby to sleep better than all of our other baby friends in a similar age range. We had Melanie start with us around the 6 week mark due to our postpartum schedule, and she was with us until just under 4 months. We could not have done this journey without her.

Hi! I’m Jaya Mallik (she/her), a birth and postpartum doula in Maple Valley, WA, where I live with my husband, Nathan, and our two daughters, Asha and Diya. My journey into doula work began with my own birth experiences. After an emergency first birth and postpartum depression, I found healing during my second birth with the support of a culturally aligned doula who empowered me and honored my values. Her guidance inspired me to provide the same compassionate care to others. As a Woman of Color and current DEI practitioner, I’m committed to addressing healthcare inequities and ensuring every birthing person feels empowered and supported through this transformative journey.

We can't say enough wonderful things about Jaya! She was a wonderful addition to our birth team and made both pregnancy and labor a comfortable and safe experience. Throughout pregnancy, Jaya was a great communicator. She was always willing to answer our questions and checked in on us as we got closer to the end of our pregnancy. When we met in person to discuss our vision for labor and delivery, she shared an immense amount of information with us and helped us craft a birth plan. She was respectful of all of our wishes and helped us to feel informed and prepared. We were unexpectedly induced before the end our pregnancy. When we found this out, Jaya immediately called us to talk things through. She was kind and gentle and made sure we had the information we needed. When she joined us in the hospital during labor, she brought with her a balance of both calmness and positivity. As labor progressed and we had to make decisions about care, she again made sure we had the right knowledge to make informed decisions. She supported both me and my partner as we navigated the challenges of labor, and helped to bring both joy and serenity into the room. Overall, Jaya was incredibly supportive, kind, and knowledgeable. She made us feel safe, listened to, and empowered. We would highly recommend her for birth doula services, and are very grateful for her support and wisdom.

Sage was a dream come true for us. I was so deeply appreciative of the updates, the communication, the honesty, the positivity, and the trust that Sage was able to provide for us while caring for our baby while we were on a work trip. My two older children were also so impressed by Sage and really enjoyed all of their interactions. We recommend Sage wholeheartedly and with absolute confidence. I am a Birth Doula, an expert in body balancing for pregnancy birth and post-partum, (Body Ready Method Pro), a Breathwork Facilitator and a Herbalist. I am new to bornbir but not new to being a Doula! Check out my website for google reviews. I specialize in nervous system regulation through breathwork and body balancing. I have a deep understanding of the connection between breath health and nervous system health. When you can utilize these two things for your pregnancy, labor and post partum you will change your entire life. Your nervous system is the driver and unless you become present with it and understand how to speak with it- your intuition will always take a back seat to your stress, anxiety and fears. My goal is to help dissolve your fears and get you in FLOW by learning how to hear your intuition!

My labor and birthing experience with Jacqi was beyond amazing! Her calm and collected presence is something I’ll continue to be grateful for. I, unfortunately, had somewhat of a traumatic laboring experience due to my high risk pregnancy, and if it wasn’t for Jacqi’s knowledge and calm demeanor I don’t think I would’ve navigated all the medical issues as well as I did. I had my laboring room full of love and support; I had my husband, my sister, mother in law, and Jacqi. With over 36hours of laboring, Jacqi supported me every second. She knew what to do and when. She remembered everything from my birth plan, which was so great, even though my medical situation didn’t allow for some of my preferences to be honored, Jacqi still advocated for the birth experience I envisioned. She was also such a light to have in my room and kept the spirits high with everyone around. She brought snacks, had all the tools to help me labor, and was so so so incredibly emotionally supportive. My first time birthing experience with a traumatic medical condition wasn’t something I could navigate without Jacqi’s involvement! I will 10/10 be working with Jacqi again for my next birth!!

Way, iskwist Sierra Sanchez. Hello, my name is Sierra Sanchez. I am a descendant of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe of Indians and a Mexican-American. I have 3 years of experience under my belt as a doula and lactation peer counselor. I have supported hospital, birth center, and home births. I am confident in my skills and services and am devoted to continued development. Since 2025 I have really focused on bringing more culture into my work and connecting with my communities. I attended the first annual Returning from the Stars conference hosted by the Center for Indigenous Midwifery and completed their Indigenous doula training. I also began a part time position aiding Spokane Tribal Network in supporting local Indigenous doulas, such as myself. I look forward to future opportunities to progress the work we are doing in and for our communities.

We loved our experience with Sierra! From the first meeting her demeanor was warm and friendly, we were able to meet at a local coffee place and just chat initially and she really made it a comfortable experience. From answering late night texts and phone calls about general pregnancy symptoms, to birthing positions, to helping me with breast feeding postpartum, her knowledge and expertise has been priceless. She was very present for my labor and helped reexplain things the doctors were saying when I couldn’t quite process during contractions. It was wonderful to have another support other than my husband during labor, as well as someone willing to take photos so my husband could just focus on me. If you’re on the fence about having a doula I couldn’t recommend it enough! If we were ever to have another child in the future we wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to Sierra again.

Laura was an incredible support to us before, during, and after the birth of our daughter. She helped us feel prepared through thorough prenatal meetings and by sharing helpful local resources, in addition to the resources she provided herself. During labor, Laura was especially valuable in helping me manage pain and offering different laboring positions and techniques. Her calm, knowledgeable presence made a meaningful difference when things became challenging and we needed to adapt our birth plan. One of the things I appreciated most was how intentional Laura was about making sure we felt comfortable with the decisions being made throughout the birth process. She helped us slow down, understand our options, and make decisions we felt good about. I always felt supported and empowered to advocate for myself, knowing I had someone experienced in my corner. Laura provided compassionate, continuous support from preparation through postpartum recovery, and we are so grateful to have had her with us for such an important experience. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely caring doula!

My experience with Bridgette was fantastic. My main reason for using a doula was I wanted someone in the birth room to be a fierce advocate while I was medicated and in pain and unable to advocate for myself. She was that and so much more. I had to push for 4 hours to get my little one out after already being in labor for 18 hours. The doctor said I was close to needing the vacuum to get her out and I credit Bridgette's knowledge, encouragement of frequent position changes while pushing and encouragement to keep hydrated and nourished with clear liquids to why I was able to get my little one out without the vacuum. Another thing that was a great help was giving my overwhelmed partner guidance on the best ways of helping me and keeping him calm and involved in a stressful situation. In addition to that she got the BEST pictures of the delivery while respecting the fact I didn't want any from the angle you could see my more intimate areas. I'll cherish those pictures forever. My birth was a beautiful wonderful experience. I have to credit part of it to luck but the majority of it to Bridgette.

I have been supporting pregnant people for 18 years. I began my journey shortly after my own firstborn came peacefully into this world and the passion was ignited! I studied to be a midwife (CPM) with a number of excellent mentors and qualified in 2011. I have worked in both home and hospital settings as a doula and an excited to now be supporting this community of Clallam County. I am currently only working as a doula (non-clinical support).

Amanda is nothing short of amazing. She served as my doula for our third child, born in 2015 in Kenya. Giving birth seemed daunting at first, but Amanda's confidence, skill, and calm demeanor made everything easier. From the moment that I found out that I was pregnant, she was a source of advice and a trusted confidant, answering my questions and addressing any concerns that I had. When it came time for the birth, our little one was very reluctant to come into this world, but Amanda made the whole experience more positive. She advocated for us with hospital staff and doctors, allowing me to focus on my body and child. Of course, she was also by my side throughout the experience, offering encouragement and even some laughs. After the birth, Amanda continued her high level of care with post-partum wellness checks for both me and baby. We were very grateful to have her with us during this journey. Her dedication to me and our family is still something that I look back on with great fondness.

I honestly don't know if words can fully capture what an incredible person Hailey is. She is, without question, one of the kindest, most compassionate, and most genuinely loving people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. As my toddler's teacher, Hailey has been nothing short of extraordinary. She has a beautiful gift for making children feel safe, cherished, and important. My child absolutely adores her, and as a parent, there is no greater comfort than knowing your little one is being cared for by someone who loves and nurtures them so wholeheartedly. But what makes Hailey truly special is that her care extends far beyond the children in her classroom. She has been an incredible source of support to me as a toddler mom. She has celebrated milestones with us, listened without judgment, reassured me during hard moments, and always greeted us with warmth, kindness, and genuine care. She somehow has a way of making you feel like you're not just another parent dropping off your child—she makes you feel seen, supported, and deeply cared for. Trust is everything when it comes to my child, and I trust Hailey completely. I would trust her with my baby without hesitation because I know her heart. She cares deeply, loves fiercely, and shows up for people in the most thoughtful and compassionate ways. She is the kind of person who makes everyone around her feel a little more at ease and a little more loved. I cannot imagine anyone more perfectly suited to becoming a doula. Bringing a new baby into the world is one of the most vulnerable and meaningful experiences a family can have, and every family deserves someone like Hailey by their side. She has the gentleness, empathy, patience, and calming presence that cannot be taught. She is the person you want holding your hand, encouraging you, and reminding you that you are capable and cared for. Hailey is simply one of those rare people who make the world a better, softer, and kinder place just by being in it. Any family lucky enough to have her as their doula will be receiving so much more than support during birth and postpartum—they will be receiving the love, care, and presence of an absolutely extraordinary human being. Our family has been profoundly touched by her kindness, and we will always be grateful for the love she has given both our child and us.

Bethany is truly such a gem, and I genuinely don’t know what my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience would have looked like without her. I went through my pregnancy without the support of a partner, and having Bethany by my side made such a huge difference in my experience. She was so kind, caring, warm, and genuinely supportive from the very beginning. Having her with me at appointments made me feel like I wasn’t navigating everything alone, and during labor, her presence brought me so much comfort. She supported me, helped advocate for me, and made sure I felt heard and cared for during such an important and vulnerable time. What makes her even more special is that her care never felt like it was simply a job. She genuinely cared about me, my baby, and my family. She was so sweet and loving with my older children and made them feel included and comfortable throughout the experience as well. Even postpartum, she continued to show up with the same warmth and thoughtfulness, whether that was checking in on me, supporting me as a new mom again, or even showing me how to make nourishing meals. I feel like I gained a lifelong friend in Bethany. I will forever be grateful that she was part of this chapter of my life, and I appreciate her more than I could ever fully put into words. Any family lucky enough to have her as their doula is getting someone incredibly special. I cannot recommend her enough.

I had an incredibly intense experience in April 2024 when I gave birth to my son. I had planned to deliver at a midwifery center, but after arriving there in labor, it was believed that my labor had stalled, so I was sent home to rest. After a few hours of sleeping through contractions, I woke up in the middle of the night realizing that my baby was coming much sooner than expected. I immediately called Sam, and she arrived at my house within minutes. We initially planned to head back to the midwifery center, but it quickly became clear that I wasn’t going to make it in time. We moved into the bathroom, and I could feel my baby descending. In that moment, it was just the two of us. I had an overwhelming urge to push, and with one push, Sam calmly caught my baby. She remained composed as she gently unwrapped the cord from around his neck, wrapped him in warm towels, and helped stimulate him to cry. Her calm presence, quick thinking, and skill made all the difference in such a critical moment. I truly believe that without her there, the situation could have turned out very differently. I am beyond grateful for her care and for the way she supported me through such an intense and unforgettable experience.

Ayden My Birth Doula was an absolute lifesaver throughout my entire birth journey. From our prenatal visit to postnatal support, she was incredibly informative, knowledgeable, and always on time. She helped me understand what to expect, even knowing that birth can be an unexpected process at times, which gave me confidence and peace of mind going into labor. As a single mom by choice, Ayden was especially respectful and empathetic to my unique needs and how they differ from those of a couple. She was deeply supportive, caring, and thoughtful, never dismissive, and always made me feel seen, understood, and honored in my experience. During birth, Ayden was kind, nurturing, and remarkably calm. Her lovely positive affirmations and strong, grounding words helped me stay focused and empowered. Her intuitive guidance, especially with birth positioning for pushing was invaluable, and she attentively nurtured all of my needs, from snacks and water to maintaining dim lighting and a peaceful space. Giving birth to a Christmas baby unfortunately for me turned into travel nurses, and midwives and nothing going as planned. Yet, Ayden created calm within the chaos. She helped keep me grounded and feeling safe, and knowing she was by my side brought immense comfort. Her postnatal visit was just as supportive and reassuring, helping me process the experience and feel cared for beyond the birth itself. I truly cannot imagine my birth experience without Ayden’s support. Truly a Doula Angel Sent to help bring my baby girl into this world safely and as calm as possible in the unknown.
