About me

I have been supporting pregnant people for 18 years. I began my journey shortly after my own firstborn came peacefully into this world and the passion was ignited! I studied to be a midwife (CPM) with a number of excellent mentors and qualified in 2011. I have worked in both home and hospital settings as a doula and an excited to now be supporting this community of Clallam County. I am currently only working as a doula (non-clinical support).

Amanda served as my doula/midwife for my 2nd and 3rd babies. She is a steady and calm presence. Amanda helped me to accomplish exactly what i wanted in both cases: a peaceful homebirth in a birthing pool for one and a peaceful and calm hospital birth for the other. She is an incredible birth advocate, and encouraged me all along the way. I am so grateful for the experiences I had with Amanda and have incredible memories of my births due to her presense there with me!

Amanda was great! She really helped us understand the whole pregnancy process and helped us develop a birth plan with contingencies. She was with us through the labor and the whole birth which lasted 48 hours. She was a solid advocate for us when the doctors and hospital were trying to push us in other directions. I would highly recommend her to anyone even thinking of having children!
