Hello Loves, my name is Samone Marie. I am a certified (THW) Full Circle Birth and Postpartum Doula, Community Health Worker, and Childbirth Educator serving families throughout Oregon and Washington. As a mother of four and grandmother, I bring both professional and lived experience into my work, including personal journeys with fertility, twins, natural and medicated births, and the many beautiful and unique paths birth can take. I believe birth is a sacred transition for the entire family, and I am passionate about helping parents feel informed, empowered, and deeply supported throughout their journey. My approach blends evidence-based education with heart-centered, culturally aware, and trauma-informed care. Along with emotional support, comfort measures, advocacy, and postpartum guidance, I also honor your traditional and cultural practices that support the whole family, including placenta encapsulation, belly binding and wrapping, Mother Blessing ceremonies, Closing of the Bones ceremonies, and cam infuse sound and energy practices. I strive to create a space where families feel seen, heard, respected, and cared for during one of life’s most meaningful transitions.

This pregnancy was extremely taxing on me, and I’m beyond fortunate that Samone was the doula I chose to support me through it all. She never failed to show up for me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. From the countless resources she provided, to the random texts just checking in to make sure I was in a good headspace, to the house visits where she equipped me with tools to help prepare my mind and body for what they were about to endure—she was there every step of the way. I can honestly say that, aside from birthing a happy and healthy baby boy, Samone was the single most positive part of my pregnancy and postpartum experience. I will be forever grateful for her love, support, and presence during such a transformative time in my life. If I were planning on having more babies, I would choose her as my doula every single time. ??

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our doula Rebecca. From the very beginning, she was attentive, compassionate, and genuinely invested in making our birth experience as positive and stress-free as possible. She was incredibly hands-on, always available to answer questions, provide reassurance, and offer practical guidance every step of the way. Her knowledge, professionalism, and calm presence gave us confidence during a time that could have felt overwhelming. Whether it was helping us prepare before labor, providing comfort measures during labor, or offering support postpartum, her dedication never wavered. What truly set her apart was how much she cared. She made us feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the entire journey. We are so grateful for her expertise, kindness, and unwavering commitment to our family. I had the pleasure of working with Lorrie as my doula for the birth of my first child, and I truly cannot recommend her enough. From the start, she put my mind at ease, building my confidence through her deep knowledge of the birthing process. She helped me navigate my options to create a flexible birth plan that felt exactly right for me. Our weekly virtual prenatal yoga sessions were a lifesaver—not only for stress reduction but for mental preparation. Lorrie tailored every pose to my needs and taught me breathing techniques that became essential during labor. She even prepared my support team so they knew exactly how to show up for me. My goal was to labor at home as long as possible. Thanks to Lorrie’s calm guidance through intense contractions, I arrived at the hospital 8cm dilated! Even when things took an unexpected turn resulting in an emergency C-section and a NICU stay, Lorrie stayed by my side. She gave me the tools to advocate for myself and provided constant encouragement during a difficult time. Lorrie provides holistic, culturally appropriate care that every birthing person deserves. I’m now a healthy mama to a healthy baby boy, and I can't wait to have her support me again for my next child.

Hi, I’m Bonnie, a THW Doula serving families throughout the Willamette Valley. I’m passionate about breastfeeding support, informed decision making, and evidence based care. My husband and I are enjoying the adventure of raising our four kiddos. Having experienced both hospital and home births I truly appreciate the beauty, strength and individuality of every birth journey. Currently serving Salem to Eugene, Corvallis and surrounding areas.

Bonnie-you’re what I picture as a TRUE midwife. Not lingering and bothering and following. Don’t get me wrong though every person’s presence disrupts the birth in some way- and I was caught off guard had I not met you. But you making my kids waffles and just occupying my kids at times is what I picture as being a true midwife and the help up to go to the bathroom. Even though I had never met you I felt safer with you than the medwives who I’ve met many times and attended my birth. Although my birth was not an actual physiological home birth, and my needs were disrespected by everyone else and was completely ruined by the medwives and the worst experience of my life, You’re exactly what I’d want in an actual midwife for a home birth and what I wanted my experience to be and I think if you ever started offering non medicalized attendance some women would appreciate that. I won’t be having any type of birth attendants next time or ever again since it’d be way to triggering for me but I did appreciate you and my daughter still talks about that nice DR lady with the axolotl 😌(I know it’s hard to find traditional midwives and birth keepers in this area. Unfortunately mine had moved to far away and all the other ones I found were in the occult but now I’m thinking that’s common for licensed ones as well) and I’d totally recommend you for those who want non medical support if you switch from ‘doula’ to wanting to be traditional and just a true ‘with woman’ presence near by.

If you’re reading this, you’re likely researching doulas for prenatal, labor, and postpartum support. You should absolutely consider Georgia Bonds-Abele. I can’t recommend her highly enough. As first-time parents, my husband and I knew we wanted support navigating the unknowns of pregnancy, labor, and birth. We met Georgia during my second trimester, and selected to work with her. What stood out most was her depth of knowledge and practical guidance provided in preparing for an unmedicated birth. I had hoped for an unmedicated hospital birth, and with her support I was able to achieve it! Even when we faced an unexpected gestational diabetes diagnosis and the decision to schedule an induction, Georgia helped us feel informed, validated and confident in our decisions. During our prenatal visits (plus many texts, calls, and shared Notes app lists), she was generous with her time and incredibly thorough. She also helped my husband feel prepared and confident in his role as a birth partner, helping him prepare to support me physically and emotionally during labor. From weeks 37–40 (and beyond if needed), Georgia was on call and fully available. When the time came, she joined us at the hospital for my induction and was a constant source of support through labor: with hands-on comfort techniques and tools, guidance, and strong advocacy. She has a calm and gentle presence, but she is also a powerful advocate and was truly impressive when communicating with both healthcare providers and family members during critical moments. From shaping my birth preferences to postpartum support (including holding my baby so I could take care of a few things around the house), Georgia was exceptional through every stage. I would absolutely work with her again for future births and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and empowering doula.

Sage is a proud Oregonian and was born and raised in Portland! She is an inquisitive life-long learner, crafting enthusiast, and enjoys being out in nature whenever she can. Though she treasures work with all kinds of people, Sage finds deep meaning in providing care to LGBTQIA2s+ families informed by her own queer lived experience.
