Hello Loves, my name is Samone Marie. I am a certified (THW) Full Circle Birth and Postpartum Doula, Community Health Worker, and Childbirth Educator serving families throughout Oregon and Washington. As a mother of four and grandmother, I bring both professional and lived experience into my work, including personal journeys with fertility, twins, natural and medicated births, and the many beautiful and unique paths birth can take. I believe birth is a sacred transition for the entire family, and I am passionate about helping parents feel informed, empowered, and deeply supported throughout their journey. My approach blends evidence-based education with heart-centered, culturally aware, and trauma-informed care. Along with emotional support, comfort measures, advocacy, and postpartum guidance, I also honor your traditional and cultural practices that support the whole family, including placenta encapsulation, belly binding and wrapping, Mother Blessing ceremonies, Closing of the Bones ceremonies, and cam infuse sound and energy practices. I offer customizable support throughout the prenatal, birth, and postpartum journey designed to meet each family’s unique needs. My services include prenatal education and birth preparation, labor and birth support, comfort measures, advocacy, emotional support, postpartum care, newborn and family transition support, resource navigation, and Community Health Worker support. I also offer holistic and cultural practices including placenta encapsulation, belly binding and wrapping, Mother Blessing ceremonies, Closing of the Bones ceremonies, guided meditation, sound and energy practices, and family-centered wellness support. My goal is to nurture the whole family—mind, body, and spirit—while helping parents feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way.

This pregnancy was extremely taxing on me, and I’m beyond fortunate that Samone was the doula I chose to support me through it all. She never failed to show up for me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. From the countless resources she provided, to the random texts just checking in to make sure I was in a good headspace, to the house visits where she equipped me with tools to help prepare my mind and body for what they were about to endure—she was there every step of the way. I can honestly say that, aside from birthing a happy and healthy baby boy, Samone was the single most positive part of my pregnancy and postpartum experience. I will be forever grateful for her love, support, and presence during such a transformative time in my life. If I were planning on having more babies, I would choose her as my doula every single time. ??

My wife and I are grateful for Samone. She came in like an Auntie and left like a sister. From the beginning Samone was generous with her time and knowledge both during and after visits. Her hands on approach and gentle urging of us to reflect and plan or engage in post visit activities complimented the helpful sharing of information via text, including recipes(!) made us feel truly supported. I personally don't know how I would've managed the birthing process alone. She was by our side for roughly 60 grueling hours at the hospital. It was an mental and physical endurance test. Not once did I lack of anything including food or a needed distraction. What's more we still have time with her available to us post birth that we look forward to, once we get our heads on straight. Even during this time she's let us know she's ready, willing, and able to continue supporting us.

The biggest impact Samone has made in my birthing experience was being a blessing in a time of need. My support was limited. I only had one family member present and Samone happened to show up and was there for me the entire time. Her presence was warm and welcoming and she helped me by demonstrating important birthing exercises for me to try. Her ongoing check ins during the entire birth experience was reassuring and I felt so much love in support. My birth wasn't an easy one and I'm so happy that I didn't have to experience it alone.
