My experience with Bridgette was fantastic. My main reason for using a doula was I wanted someone in the birth room to be a fierce advocate while I was medicated and in pain and unable to advocate for myself. She was that and so much more. I had to push for 4 hours to get my little one out after already being in labor for 18 hours. The doctor said I was close to needing the vacuum to get her out and I credit Bridgette's knowledge, encouragement of frequent position changes while pushing and encouragement to keep hydrated and nourished with clear liquids to why I was able to get my little one out without the vacuum. Another thing that was a great help was giving my overwhelmed partner guidance on the best ways of helping me and keeping him calm and involved in a stressful situation. In addition to that she got the BEST pictures of the delivery while respecting the fact I didn't want any from the angle you could see my more intimate areas. I'll cherish those pictures forever. My birth was a beautiful wonderful experience. I have to credit part of it to luck but the majority of it to Bridgette.

I cannot say enough great things about Mkenna and the support she gave me through one of the hardest and most important experiences of my life. I unexpectedly went into labor at only 35 weeks, well before she was supposed to even be on call for me. Despite that she answered every single call and supported me from the very beginning. Unfortunately Mkenna was under the weather when I went into labor and per my decision I decided to not have her physically present. Even though I made that choice, Mkenna never once left my side emotionally or mentally via video chat through my 60-hour labor and through the birth of my son. During my labor I was diagnosed with preeclampsia, had a failed epidural, and faced multiple difficult and unexpected decisions. Through every curveball thrown, Mkenna helped me understand each of the options presented by the doctors and what each possible outcome could look like, allowing me to make informed decisions while still honoring the birth experience I wanted for myself and my baby. During labor there was a point that with my epidural failing I truly believe panic could have set in from the pain. Mkenna helped ground me in that moment. She reminded me to breathe, to use low tones, and to continue to stay focused so my body could continue to do the work. She was also the one who helped me advocate that the epidural was failing, eventually I needed both a spinal and second epidural and Mkenna continued to support me through it all. When I could feel my baby getting close, Mkenna again helped me make an informed decision where I chose to labor down. About 45 minutes later, the doctors did a cervical check and my sons head was right there - it was time to push! Just 22 minutes later my son was born. Even following the birth of my son Mkenna stayed on video to help make sure my birth plan and wishes were still being respected. No matter how many left turns my labor took, I truly believe I got through all of them with the best possible outcome because I had her support. She made me feel informed, empowered, calm, and cared for every step of the way. If you are considering hiring a doula, I can honestly say Mkenna is worth everything and more!

Lauren Cordon was amazing. I went into labor early, before I could even have a full consultation with her. She still immediately left to come to the hospital so I wouldn't be alone through the labor, as I'm a single mother. She stayed from when I was 6cm dilated until an hour after the birth, making sure I was good for her to leave even then. She showed support, constantly checking up on me through the process, holding my hand as needed, getting me whatever items I needed like my drinks or phone etc. She has medical knowledge, and was able to answer questions I had about the labor process, what certain equipment and such were in the room, and when I had a medical emergency during contractions, she immediately jumped to help the medical staff how she could, getting any items and furniture out of the way to make room, seeing what she could do for the staff, and making sure I was comfortable still. When my daughter was born, she made sure to take pictures for me when she was getting weighed and measured, as I was stuck in the bed and couldnt do it myself. She also messaged my parents when I asked her to, to keep them updated. After the birth, she kept in touch, making sure I knew she was still here for me, and that I knew what all her services offered, including 5 postpartum sessions in the first 3 months following the birth. I have yet to use these sessions but it is a very helpful thing to offer. I highly recommend this company and this specific doula.

My name is Krystal Brisette Vélez-Gómez-Edwards and I am of Indigenous-Mexicana and Nicaragüense descent. I am open to supporting all births of all beliefs and practices. I am passionate about my own cultural work and practicing as a traditional, Mexican doula, acknowledging birth as ceremony. My first career path was in nursing until I discovered my dismay with Western medicine and healthcare. Years later I experienced the birth of my son, Michael, who is now 16. I was 21 and had no support outside of my marriage, I had no clue what I was doing and I didn't know what I didn't know. I ate awfully and gained at least 70 pounds. When my water broke and I was admitted to the hospital, I was soon told I would need a cesarean due to my son going into "distress." I planned to have a natural birth, but here I was receiving an epidural (fentanyl!) and being cut open and tugged at from within. I was so detached from my own body. My baby was taken from the room and I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits and pleasure of skin-to-skin bonding, our 'golden hour' to breastfeed peacefully. I suffered from postpartum depression and learned to bury and forget the experience because I figured that's just how it was. It wasn't until years later that it came up for me and was a catalyst for many positive changes in my life. I was a few years into healing work with indigenous medicines and in one of my own ceremonies, I received a calling to bring ceremony back to birth, along with visions of burying a placenta at a sacred tree. I began researching traditional Mexican birth work to discover that this was in fact an indigenous tradition. I dedicated myself to the journey of birth work. I obtained training in many facets of holistic birth work and traditional, Mexican birth work, including herbalism to support birth and postpartum, womb healing, rebozo work, techniques for comfort and pain management as well as repositioning breech babies, lactation support, craniosacral therapy, cerrada de caderas (traditional closing ceremony), and the list continues to grow. I have been studying safe use of psychedelics during pregnancy and birth. As a traditional, certified holistic birth and postpartum doula, my primary role is to provide emotional, physical, and informational support to you during pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and beyond. I believe birth work is sacred and magical. Most importantly, I'm passionate about incorporating traditional practices into my work, which means I can also draw on indigenous knowledge and rituals to enhance and support your desired birthing experience. Cristal was absolutely essential to my uncomplicated delivery of my child. Her warmth and knowledge gave me the confidence and peace to go within myself and have an unmedicated delivery in the hospital. Aris is an absolutely incredible doula. I recently gave birth to my first child and can honestly say that having Aris at my birth made what would have otherwise been a pretty traumatic experience, a very calm and empowering one. My birth plan had to pretty much go out the window due to unpredictable events during labor, and Aris was with me every step of the way, helping me feel like I was still in control when everything seemed like it was crumbling. She helped me reframe things in ways that my brain could understand at the time, and for that I am so grateful! She also advocated for me at multiple points to keep whatever aspects of my birth plan could still be safely implemented. She constantly anticipated my needs during the labor process and never once seemed tired despite staying up with us all throughout the night. She was also amazing at physically supporting me during labor with various counter-pressure and distracting sensation techniques. She taught my husband what to do as well, but honestly she was 1000x better at it and was so much stronger than him lol! We hired Jeremy Anne to help care for our daughter back when she was 9 months. She was with us for about 5 months. She helped with feeding, play, naps, walking development, baby sign, minor housekeeping items and offered advice with caring for a baby. She has a wonderful holistic approach with her support. She cares about ALL family members - humans and pets alike! We loved that she wasn’t a “transactional” kind of person, she really took the time to get to know us, ask good questions and offer personal care support when needed. She also went out of her way for many things. I will always remember how she helped develop healthy boundaries with our dog as we were adjusting to our daughter’s needs. The boundaries helped build a healthy relationship with our baby and fur baby! Our daughter enjoyed being around Jeremy and she misses her I think sometimes. Jeremy was very helpful with helping our baby walk! We keep in touch and recently shared how our little one is walking all over the place now! I wish we could have had more time with Jeremy. She is a blessing, she is so peaceful and calm.

For me the presence of Aneliz was priceless, her experience with labor and her experience inside and outside the health system were very important and reassuring.
