I'm Sam, long time birth nerd ➡️ new Catholic / Christian doula in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. I support families in Colorado Springs, Denver, Pueblo and the surrounding areas. I'm Madriella Certified and I'm working on my DONA international certification right now. I'm excited to support families of all shapes and sizes through this incredible (and sometimes spooky) phase of life ❤️‍🔥 About me: I'm a Catholic convert circa 2022 and I had my first baby, lil Gwen in February 2025 💞 My hobbies include being an absolute homebody, crocheting and reading, gaming with my husband, saving all my money until I'm blessed enough to venture out into the world. (Most recently, Japan in 2023 🌎) My mission is to be a steadfast advocate for women, ensuring they know they are not alone on this incredible journey. What to expect

How I can support you during labor: Comfort Measures: This includes massage, counter pressure, heat/cold, etc. Positioning: I help facilitate and suggest types of position change, as needed, throughout labor. Advocacy: I help you and your partner advocate for your labor preferences. Emotional Support & Encouragement: No matter how you choose to give birth, I will support your decisions and help encourage you to achieve the birth you want. Partner Support: My job is NOT to replace your partner, but instead help your partner support you. Often, having a doula present can relieve stress on your partner during labor. Educational Support: I can help you and your partner understand what is going on in labor and what your choices may be. After Birth Support: After giving birth, I will stay with you for up to 2 hours until you are ready for me to go. During this time, I can help facilitate bonding and feeding your baby. Photos: I am happy to take photos after the birth or at any other time that it is possible or appropriate, according to your wishes.

Sam was absolutely incredible. I planned to have a homebirth and ended up laboring very long (60+ hours) before we transfered to a hospital. She was there in all the toughest times and was constantly on call & ready to arrive when needed. She was the perfect balance of comfort, support, and strength that helped me stay confident in my laboring. When it came time to make a decision to transfer, she helped talk me through options and process our decision. she was a total blessing to our family ??

Coming into it, I was definitely a little bit of a skeptic when it came to getting a doula, mainly because I didn't really think that I was gonna need one. Boy was I wrong!!!! The amount in the level of support, love and care, and presence that Samantha provided me during my labor was absolutely incredible. She provided her techniques as well as her very calming and soothing voice to help get me through everything. I honestly thought that my fiance would be more than enough for that part of labor. But there's something so much more that you as a woman, will relate to when it comes to femininity as well as another mom, during labor and delivery. Samantha was so patient, she was so kind and so gentle through the whole process and honestly, she made everything so much easier when it came to pain management! And just her sheer, beautiful presence is so calming! If you are getting a doula or you have been thinking about it, I would highly recommend samantha, because she truly surpassed everything I thought a doula could do for you when you're in labor ! Ten out of five stars Thank you so much Samantha for your loving, gentle kindness and support during my labor, you are truly a God's gift, And this is definitely the line of work that you should be in ??

Samantha was so incredible and I am so grateful that she was the one to be here to help bring our son into this world. Her kindness, wisdom, and empathy towards mama made all the difference. She arrived by request during early labor, and immediately began coaching and consoling my fiancée. As much as I was trying to help, it just didn't resonate the same way a fellow mom was able to get through and relate. Samantha was absolutely critical to ensuring a smooth delivery of our first son.
