Hi, I’m Janelle! With my extensive experience as a mother of two, rigorous birth and postpartum DONA certification, Master’s in Health Administration, and training as a health and wellness coach, I offer a unique set of experiences that blend compassionate care, evidence-based knowledge, and whole-person wellness to support women through every stage of their motherhood journey. My own vastly different birth journeys - one C-section and one VBAC - opened my eyes to how different each experience can be, yet how deeply every mother deserves to feel supported, informed, and empowered. My own doula supported and empowered me through those experiences and inspired me to create FlourisHER Way Birth and Wellness, a space where women can receive both practical and emotional support through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. I bring a wealth of related experience, with years in healthcare leadership and wellness coaching, to countless hours walking alongside moms as they navigate nourishment, rest, identity shifts, and self-care. My approach is gentle and empowering, and I bring that same calm, grounded, and nurturing presence into my doula work. I believe every mother and birthing person deserves to feel confident, cared for, and fully supported - physically, emotionally, and mentally - as they bring new life into the world. Through my work and my heart as a mom, I’ve learned that thriving in motherhood takes more than just physical recovery — it’s about nourishment, rest, emotional balance, and rediscovering yourself in this new chapter. Ease into new parenthood with up-to 24 hours of in-home support and health coaching sessions. Perfect for those first weeks, offering newborn care guidance, light household help, and reassurance for your recovery. Ideal for families who want a gentle introduction to postpartum support during the first weeks. Includes: -20-24 hours total postpartum support (6 in-home visits, 3-4 hours each up to 6 weeks postpartum)** -Support includes newborn care guidance, feeding support, light meal prep, and emotional check-ins -Light household/newborn care -2, 60-minute health coaching sessions (nutrition, recovery, or stress management guidance for birthing parent)* *Optional additional health coaching sessions at $75 per session for 1 hour **Overnight care available as an add-on for $40/hr. Extended care with up to 40 hours of postpartum support plus additional health coaching sessions. Ideal for families who want consistent guidance, comfort, and hands-on help during the fourth trimester. Perfect for families who want ongoing care and wellness support during the critical transition period. Includes everything in Firm Foundations package plus: -35-40 hours total postpartum support (10 in-home visits, 3-4 hours each up to 12 weeks postpartum) -Includes extended newborn + maternal care support, light household assistance, lactation support , light meal prep, and recovery guidance -Four, 60-min Health Coaching Session (nutrition, recovery, or stress management guidance for birthing parent)* -One complimentary overnight shift (8 hours) to support early recovery; additional nights available during week at $40/hr. (4 hour minimum) -Postpartum recovery kit *Optional additional health coaching sessions at $75 per session for 1 hour

Three months prior to my 50th birthday. I received the best gift ever. I was introduced to Janelle and FlourisHER Way.
