About me

My name is Aneliz Soto. My daughter Anaiah Bruno and I are a bilingual mother-daughter doula team trained with Dona International serving in Kansas City desiring to serve women through their birth journey. We want to support you with evidence-based information through your pregnancy so you can feel confident at the moment of birth. Through the labor and delivery process we want to help you with comfort measures and guidance as needed. During postpartum, we want to care for you and help you start your journey into motherhood with ease. Let us know how we can serve you! Me llamo Aneliz Soto. Queremos brindarte información basada en evidencia durante su embarazo para que se sienta segura al momento del parto. Durante el proceso de parto, le ayudamos con medidas de confort y la orientación que necesite. We offer: Prenatal visit to create and discuss birth plan and questions and concern. Ongoing support either by phone (during early labor) and in person during active labor. Postpartum visit Childbirth Education Class as a separate package Postpartum care as a separate package

2-3 prenatal visits (one is required to have partner or person attending birth) 24/7 availability of communication from 38 weeks of pregnancy until first week of postpartum Early Labor virtual and on call communication for recommendations and advice In person birth support from active labor until up to two hours after mother has delivered baby to make sure latch is properly done and check mom is stable. Translation services in Spanish for non-english speakers 1 postpartum visit to debrief of birth; fill the “gaps” of information; check on mom’s recovery, offer resources; approx. 2 hours visit 2-3 visitas prenatales (la pareja o persona acompañante asiste al parto debe asistir al menos a una). Disponibilidad de comunicación 24/7 desde la semana 38 de embarazo hasta la primera semana posparto. Comunicación virtual y de guardia durante la labor de parto temprana para recomendaciones y consejos. Apoyo presencial durante el parto desde la labor de parto activo hasta dos horas después del parto para asegurar que la madre logre el agarre correctamente de lactancia y comprobar su estabilidad. Servicios de interpretación al español para personas que no hablan inglés. 1 visita posparto para informar sobre el parto; completar la información; verificar la recuperación de la madre y ofrecer recursos; visita de aproximadamente 2 horas.

Postpartum Care
Includes: laundry; cleaning floors; dishes; making bed; helping mom with breast pumping; hold baby or help soothe while mom takes a shower, eats or takes a nap and help with setting up a Mealtrain or food delivery service for family if desired, take the trash out and other simple chores. (2 hours minimum) Incluye: lavar ropa, limpiar pisos, platos, hacer la cama, ayudar a la mamá con la extracción de leche, sostener al bebé o ayudar a calmarlo mientras la mamá se ducha, come o toma una siesta y ayudar a organizar un Mealtrain o un servicio de entrega de alimentos para la familia si lo desea, sacar la basura y otras tareas simples. (2 horas mínimo)

For me the presence of Aneliz was priceless, her experience with labor and her experience inside and outside the health system were very important and reassuring.
