Hello everyone, my name is Trisha. I live in Fort Worth, TX and I serve Fort Worth and Dallas. I recently moved here from New Jersey with my husband, 5 kids, cat and dog and I love it here! I have always wanted to be in birthwork, since I had my first child at 18, but never knew where I would fit in. A few years ago I learned what a doula was and knew that that was where I belong. I love all things pregnancy and childbirth and love to learn more about it. I have worked in restaurants my whole life so I am very good at multi tasking and thinking on my feet and solving problems. I am a newer doula, however I have been helping friends, co workers and family forever with childbirth. I love to be there to help during the most amazing time of everyone's lives and know what a privilege it is to be involved in such a emotional and private time. In my free time I love exploring my new home with my kids and finding new places to see! Family is everything so I love to spend all free time with them.

I am a new Doula and have completed a Dona approved Doula training. My work background is mostly rooted in hospitality, customer service and yoga. I have always had a passion for caring for others and creating a fulfilling experience. Hello my name is Melanie Powell and I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula and a Childbirth Educator in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex I first felt drawn to this work in my childhood many years before I even knew what a doula was or anything about postpartum or the transition to parenthood. As life moved on I went to Texas Woman's University where I got my bachelors in elementary education but felt called to a more servant role. I was a caregiver for many years for individuals with disabilities and worked as an autism therapist. Finally in 2022 when I was preparing to have my daughter l left the world of autism to be a stay at home mom and really be there for my daughter. I envisioned the perfect birth surrounded by my husband mother and mother-in-law. Well needless to say that is not how things turned out I was left without support and even a voice in the labor room as medical intervention after medical intervention was forced upon me. Now that my daughter is older and attending preschool I wanted to give back to my community in a very unique way and answer the call that I had received so many years ago to support other moms and babies as they transition into their new roles. Hello! My name is Tab’itha, better known as Tabby, and I’m a passionate certified professional midwife currently residing in Mesquite, Texas. I was born and raised in the Stop 6 area of Fort Worth, TX, and I am a proud mother of three teenage girls. From a young age, I always wanted to be a "baby doctor." My grandmother would often say, "You will be a doctor, and your sister will be a lawyer." Although I encountered quite a few roadblocks and detours along the way, I eventually found my way back to what my grandmother had always believed in, but in a way that resonates with me even more—becoming a midwife. I later discovered that midwifery was in my blood; my great-grandmother was a trusted midwife in her small community in Mississippi, which further inspired my journey. I graduated from Southwest Tech with an associate degree in Health Science and Midwifery in December 2024 and passed my NARM exam in April 2025, becoming fully licensed as a midwife in Texas. I am currently finishing up my Bachelor’s in Nursing at Arizona College, further enhancing my skills and knowledge in healthcare. My journey into birth work began in 2018 when I trained as a birth doula through DONA. As a doula, I have attended over 150 in-hospital and out-of-hospital births. When COVID peaked, I was fortunate enough to continue support in the hospital. It was during this time that I realized I needed to acquire the education and skills to become a community midwife sooner than I had originally planned. During my schooling, I attended an additional 95 births and worked with several well-respected midwives and OB-GYNs in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, gaining invaluable experience.
