Hello Families! My name is Keyz The Wellness Doula. I am the owner and operator of The Indi Women's Club, a women's health practice focusing on health equity and combating maternal health disparities. In addition to being a certified birth and postpartum doula, I am a registered nurse, childbirth educator and breastfeeding educator. It is my strong belief that education and preparation can reduce fear surrounding birth and make for a positive birth experience. Becoming a doula wasn’t just something I decided to do because it’s “cool”. I prayed long about this before I knew I would step into this role. I get questions a lot on how to become a doula and I always ask, why do you want to become a doula? Being able to support women during one of the most vulnerable, challenging, empowering moment in their life is very special. It’s rewarding and a privilege to be able to support so many women during birth. I am honored to be able to provide space for all of my clients who choose to work with me. This isn’t a side hustle or *just* a job, this was something God has called me to do and I will continue to share my journey and give Him all the glory.

I became a birth and postpartum doula after completing my training through Birthing Project USA in 2020. I began my doula business to address and help circumvent the racial disparities African American women and other women of color face in the medical industry. I loves educating all mothers to inspire positive prenatal experiences and to better equip them for labor, delivery and postpartum. It brings me joy to support moms during such a special and intimate time. I love encouraging them as they learn and grow more confident on their journey to childbirth.
