About me

Hi there, I’m Becky and have been working with new families since 2016 as a doula and parent educator in the Los Angeles, Ca and surrounding communities. I truly believe the support of a new mother starts during pregnancy and through the first year postpartum. I am a first generation Latinx woman and use the pronouns She/Her/Ella. I primarily grew up in Whittier, CA, but spend several years in Nayarit, Mexico. I am married with 3 beautiful children of my own. I hope I can help you plan for the best birth and postpartum period imaginable.

My review of Becky and Birth to Latch is long overdue! When we were pregnant with our first in 2023, we knew immediately we wanted a doula. I searched for hours online to find doulas who shared who they are from their online presence - an important start for me. Birth to Latch was one of the websites I was drawn to right away. We ended up interviewing three different doulas and ultimately chose Becky. Becky stood out as someone who knew her stuff (knowledgeable and emphasized evidence-based research), was fun and kind (made us laugh and feel comfy in her presence), and just vibed with us (it’s a feeling!)! We signed up for her package that included in-person childbirth education classes. We had so much fun and learned so much from her classes and working with her before our birth. When the day came with an early induction, Becky was there to support us through this unexpected experience. She offered me such wonderful mental, emotional, and physical support. She made suggestions to the nurses and doctors on different positions for me to labor in. She took photos during those precious moments. She was an important and seamless addition to my birth team that I could not imagine going without. So, when we were expecting our second the following year, we immediately asked Becky to save the date. We skipped the childbirth education classes this time, but Becky made sure to share all the information we needed - refreshers and things we wanted to do differently - during our prenatal visits. She was always quick to respond to texts and share resources and referrals to other support, such as lactation consultants. Our second came spontaneously, and again, Becky was there to support through every step. Having her there with us for a second time was especially comforting. Becky is a very caring, curious, powerful, intelligent woman, and I would not hesitate to hire her again as our doula.

Becky provided our family with postpartum doula services following the birth of our third child. Becky was kind, attentive, knowledgable, and met the ever changing needs of our family as we adjusted to having a new baby. I am forever grateful for Becky's expertise as well as her supportive and thoughtful approach to working with us.

As a first time mom, I was incredibly anxious about the labor part of pregnancy. I knew I wanted some extra support, especially since my own mom wouldn't be there during delivery. Once I found Becky I knew she was the one! She's incredibly passionate, knowledgeable, and so inviting. She provides you with researched information and really allows you to make your own choices with how you want your labor to go. I now have a strong and healthy 6 week old, and I'm excited to venture into Becky's infant classes. Becky really goes above and beyond for her clients and I just know that Becky will forever stay in our lives and hearts. Thank you so much!
