What does insurance not cover?

Doula benefits cover non-medical support during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. They don't cover overnight or night nanny care, placenta encapsulation, massage, photography, belly binding or birth ceremonies, yoga, vaginal steams, shopping or errands, or medical advice and clinical care.

How does it work, and how fast can I be matched?

We verify your insurance and doula benefits, then send you a few doula profiles within 2 business days, or you can browse our directory and request specific doulas. You meet with them and choose the one who feels right. Loula takes it from there when it comes to navigating your insurance benefit, handling ongoing insurance verification and all claims paperwork.

Is it too late if I'm due soon or already had my baby?

No! Doula coverage lasts from pregnancy until 12 months after your pregnancy ends, including after a miscarriage or abortion. We'd love to support you even if you're giving birth soon. We have 500+ doulas in our network, so it's easy for us to find someone who's available to support you.
