About me
Hi everyone! My name is Kati Frey and I am a Certified Childbirth Educator in Elizabethtown, PA. I am passionate about all things pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I founded BirthPrint after experiencing 2 different types of births: the first was what everyone expected of me and the second was the birth of my dreams. I love listening to everyone's stories and meeting them where they are. No two people are the same, therefore everyone should prepare for childbirth in a way that makes sense to them. This is the foundation of BirthPrint. My particular interests are helping mothers heal from past traumatic birth experiences, answering questions that seem too taboo to ask, and providing evidence based education that makes sense. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my 2 sons and husband, knitting, hiking, camping... pretty much anything outside!

Do I need to complete a free consultation before booking services?
No! But we will contact you for your free consultation upon receiving your booking. This allows us to make sure our services are right for you and then create your BirthPrint, which is the guide that helps us personalize your birth education just for you and your family.
Can I request a specific educator?
Yes! We love personalized care, and part of that care means you get to choose your educator. You can read our bios on our website (www.mybirthprint.com). During your free consultation, we will ask for your preferred educator, connect the two of you, and then you will work with that educator to continue with your personalized education experience.
Do you offer all of your education services online?
We sure do! The Total Print and The Labor Print are meant to be flexible for you, but also provide 1:1 education, either virtually or in your home for the most comfortable, convenient education experience possible. The Mini Print includes all online materials sent to you, to access whenever you please, without the face-to-face time.
How far do you travel?
Ideally, we would like to keep our one-way travel time to approximately 1 hour. We believe that everyone should have access to the birth education services of their choice though. If BirthPrint is the choice for you, we are more than happy to work with you to develop a plan to ensure you receive the birth education that best prepares you for your birth goals, which may include a travel fee if you live outside that 1-hour range.
How much experience do you have?
Each of us has a master's degree in nursing in addition to being Registered Nurses - this means we have all completed 6+ years of schooling beyond high school. We have all worked with pregnant, birthing, postpartum, and newborn clients for over 10 years. Our experiences range various settings that include fertility clinics, OB/GYN offices, hospitals, and birthing centers. To top it off, we have all held formal education roles prior to working at BirthPrint! And we cannot wait to share our knowledge with you.

There is no obligation to book services after this consultation, and we are also more than happy to refer you to services that may be more in line with your pregnancy and birth goals!
How do I book a service?

If you have not completed your free consultation before selecting your package, a member of our team will be in contact with you to complete your consultation and create your BirthPrint.
Do you offer any free services?
We are SO happy you asked! YES WE DO! For anyone local or willing to travel to Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, we offer a free labor support class at the Elizabethtown Public Library on the third Tuesday of the month, from 6-7p. We review how your partner/support person can help comfort you during labor, positions that may be soothing during contractions, and relaxation practices that you can use throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. To attend, please call 717-298-0740 to reserve your spot as space is limited to pre-registered clients only! Free snacks and drinks are available for you as well!
Do I need any supplies for the education sessions?
It is highly recommended that you have a birthing/exercise ball and a yoga mat. The learnings we review will include the use of these tools, and we strongly encourage you to invest in them for your pregnancy/labor. A pen/pencil and paper to take notes as you desire are great to have on hand as well.
Can you guarantee I will have the birth of my dreams?
No - we cannot make any guarantees on how your labor or birth will go. Just as each person is unique, their labor and birth journey are as well. Our goal at BirthPrint is to empower you to make informed decisions, backed by up-to-date evidence. We are more than happy to walk with you through your deepest fears and most sought-after dreams related to pregnancy and birth, to create a truly personalized birth education experience.
Will you attend my birth?
No - we do not attend births or provide doula services. If you are seeking a birth attendant or a doula, we can give some guidance in the right direction. Don't hesitate to book a free consultation - it might be the factor that helps you decide which path to take!
Do you give pregnancy/labor advice?
No - our services are for educational purposes only. All services are limited to education and information and do not include any form of medical care, medical advice, clinical assessment, or doula services. Share your birth plan or related wishes with your healthcare provider(s) prior to labor, as we do not coordinate with your provider.
