About me

I am a Public Health Doctor and certified birth doula, specializing in normal to high-risk pregnancies. I was initially trained by UC Davis Medical Center as a birth doula supporting high-risk patients, where I still volunteer today. I subsequently trained with DONA International as a full spectrum doula. I am background checked and have a medical clearance. My focus is to ensure birthing parents are prepared for labor and birth. You will be informed, empowered, and ready to give birth when we work together. If you are giving birth in Contra Costa County, I will attend your hospital-based birth in person. I am contracted with Kaiser Permanente, Contra Costa Health Plan, and Partnership Heath Plan. I attend many births at Kaiser in Walnut Creek, Antioch, and Oakland.

I accept insurance. I verify your eligibility, doula benefits, and file all claims so you can just focus on your health. My services are aligned with your benefits, which commonly covers 11 doula visits plus birth support - no copays or deductibles. We can work together to customize this package, as needed. 1 Initial visit 6 prenatal visits 1 hospital-based birth support w/immediate postpartum support 1 In-home postpartum visit - 3 hrs 1 telehealth postpartum visit Please note that all services can be provided via telehealth if you live in a rural area.
