The reason I gave Trinity Birth Services a 3 start rating is because of the following disappointments. Mozeke is very knowledgeable and positive and her midwife assistant Salerno was helpful and passionate. The admin needs organizational support. I was not rescheduled for my 6 week postpartum after they canceled my appointment. As of yet I have not received any communication for rescheduling. I’m 5 months postpartum. It should not be my responsibility to reschedule after they stating would get back to me. We paid our dues. I doubt I will be reimbursed for the appointment. I waited to process my home birth experience before my review. I feel that I did not have the connection and treated like family like Mozeke mentioned is with her clients and other reviewers stated. Our previous midwifes were thorough on how the portal worked and what info was saved along with family-oriented relationships. I did not have this with Trinity Birth Services. I wish I would have taken Mozeke’s offer to transfer care due to driving distance for us. There was miscommunication on multiple occasions. I wish my husband could have been with me more when I was at my final stage of labor before baby arrived. He was in charge of filling the pool and constantly keeping the water warm without help. This was our first home birth. I wish one of the midwives could have helped him for him to be my supporter during labor. I wanted my husband. The midwifes didn’t offer suggestions on moving the pool upstairs before the final stage of labor or try the tub again. I did not have the motivation from the midwives to move in different birthing position or words of encouragement during contractions. They were distant. They kept silent most of my labor. My husband didn’t feel connected with them either during my care and during labor. They were not present for hours (what seemed to my recollection) during their lunchtime and that’s when I was in my pushing phase and needed encouragement. With honesty, I left alone. Yes, everyone is different along with experiences but they’ve been doing this for years. Unfortunately, I would not hire Trinity Birth Services again or recommend them.
