Helping women work with their bodies and learn how strong they are during childbirth is my most treasured role so far in this lifetime. I love supporting women throughout their pregnancies, teaching them to listen to their bodies, and helping them feel empowered during labor and delivery. I’ve been a certified Birth Doula for 9 years (now certified under Birth Boot Camp) and a Licensed Massage Therapist for 11 years. My duty is to provide a continuous source of comfort, encouragement, and support, both emotional and physical, during labor. My goal is to help families have a safe, healthy, positive labor experience. Whether your goal is to be educated and well-prepared before your birth, to have comfort and relief during your pregnancy, to reduce medical intervention during birth or you simply want support during labor and delivery, I am happy to help you have the birth that YOU desire. During your labor and delivery, I will serve as a voice of experience, help you with relaxation so you can work with your body during the labor process, advise you on different labor positions, and offer non-medical pain management techniques. Let’s talk about how I can help you have the birth experience that you want!
Hiring Kim was one of the best decisions we made while I was pregnant! We initially hesitated on hiring a doula since I wouldn’t be getting maternity pay for very long (and babies are expensive!), but looking back it’s hard to imagine Kim not being a part of our birth. My husband and I moved to College Station less than a year ago. While my family was planning on traveling to see us from out of state the week of our due date, baby decided to arrive 3 weeks early! Kim supported me through some arduous pitocin contractions, helped us advocate for our wishes, and kept my husband hydrated, caffeinated, and fed, which enabled him to best support me. Before the more painful contractions started my husband was even able to run home to grab more hospital bag items and let our dog out, and I’m so happy Kim was there with me so I didn’t have to be on my own as there were quite a few unexpected decisions to make due to the early arrival. I would recommend Kim in a heartbeat! She’s also a great massage therapist. Baby’s early arrival thwarted me scheduling another prenatal massage — will have to schedule a postpartum one soon :)

Howdy! My name is Aniya, and I am a certified faith-based birth and postpartum doula! From a young age, I felt called to support families in birth, initially dreaming of becoming a labor and delivery nurse—until a home birth video shifted everything, revealing that my true path was midwifery. Rooted in my Christian faith, I began pursuing doula certification and seeking mentorship, knowing this work was both a calling and a ministry. I’m dedicated to assisting mothers and their families through the transformative experience of childbirth. I emphasize and provide emotional, physical, and informational support to ensure a positive birthing experience. My mission is to empower mothers, promote informed decision-making, and cultivate a nurturing environment that respects individual choices and preferences. Please reach out with any questions! I look forward to connecting! Aniya! (409)474-2244 communioncare@gmail.com
I loved having Aniya as my birth doula. Not only did she make sure I felt supported leading up to birth, when I called her while in active labor. She informed me that she was wrapping up at another birth. I called at 3:30am and she made it there before my midwife and helped me to labor. My labor went FAST within the next hour I was in the tub pushing. She was such a calm presence. My midwife just barely missed it but both my husband and I felt so much better with her there. She was calm and helped my husband prepare to deliver my son without our midwife. I’m extremely grateful for the time, effort, calmness, and loss of sleep she put in to help me labor my son into the world.

Having Elissa as my doula was one of the best decisions I made for my birth experience. She brought such calm, reassurance, and knowledge into every moment during labor. She anticipated my needs before I even had to ask and helped both me and my husband feel comfortable and empowered throughout the entire process. Her presence made me feel truly supported and confident. I can’t imagine going through it without her! Would hire her again if I decide to have another baby!

From a husband’s perspective When my wife approached me about using a doula to assist with the labor and delivery of our third child, I was skeptical of how helpful a doula could be beyond what I could do to assist my wife on my own. I am a pretty hands-on husband when it comes to supporting my wife in these situations, so I really didn’t think a doula would be all that much more helpful from the help I already had done and was willing to do for this third child as well. I WAS WRONG! Emily at Magnolia Births served us in so many ways, but these are a few of the ways that she did. 1) Enhanced my ability to support my wife Not only did Emily assist my wife during labor, but she also enabled me to help my wife in meaningful ways long after I ran out of my own ideas of how to help my wife during labor. 2) Gave us insight into choosing providers, facilities, birth prep, etc Since my wife and I are not from Lubbock, Emily’s experience of having witnessed numerous births in the area gave us all of the necessary information we needed in order to find the right people and the right location for our specific circumstances surrounding the birth of our third child. 3) Another knowledgeable person in your corner during a stressful situation I was surprised by Emily’s knowledge. I knew she had prepared herself with many classes in order to serve her clients well, but Emily always had helpful information and a plan B, C, D, etc ready in case the Plan A didn’t go as planned. She is more than prepared for any situation with her knowledge and experience. I really agreed to using a doula because I knew my wife would feel more comfortable in attempting a VBA2C with a doula, but now I can say after the delivery of my third child and successful VBA2C that I will be the first one to call Emily should we need her services again! Thank you, Emily!

ve Clients, I am writing to express my deep appreciation for the remarkable care and support I received from Cheyenne and Cree during my pregnancy and postpartum journey. As a first-time mom, I was fortunate to have Cheyenne as my homebirth and postpartum doula, and to also benefit from her placenta encapsulation services. Her expertise and holistic approach put me at ease throughout the entire process, and her commitment to educating me was invaluable. Cheyenne provided exceptional prenatal care, offering guidance and addressing my concerns with utmost patience. During labor and delivery, she ensured that I felt supported, while Cree provided emotional support for both my partner and me, capturing breathtaking photos that we will cherish forever. What stood out most was their dedication to making me feel comfortable, their willingness to address all my questions, and their unwavering support in overcoming my childbirth fears. The family-oriented care I received from Cheyenne and Cree made the experience even more special. I have referred my friends and family to their services, and I genuinely believe that booking them as your doulas is the right choice.

We believe that birth is YOUR story and should be done your way. We try our best to support our clients wishes during births and follow directions for post Partum care as well. We think it’s important not to push clients to do things but allow them to choose their own paths. We love what we do and love educating our clients so that they’re able to make the best decisions for themselves and feel well informed when doing so… We are a team/partnership of two doulas and a registered nurse to cover all things birth, postpartum and beyond!
Kourtney was our son’s night doula for 8 weeks. We interviewed several doula’s before landing on her. From our very first conversation Kourtney’s professionalism, knowledge, and kindness stood out well above the others. From discussing her schedule, rates, and philosophy of care, she was clearly very experienced and willing to educate us as first time parents. She was also willing to work with our schedule and needs to make her services work for both of us. Working with Kourtney was nothing short of amazing. She was always on time or early for every shift, she came prepared to learn about our sons day and what to expect out of the night. We were always able to discuss any concerns we have and she gave great advice to help us manage him when she was not there. She helped us trouble shoot the many challenges we had navigating our son’s first few weeks of life. Offering advice on how to treat his ailments, products to support his care, and when to consult our pediatrician. Our son was a NICU baby and we were extremely concerned for his early development and couldn’t have found a better provider to be a part of our village. Every night we were able to rest peacefully knowing our son was in great care. Kourtney took great notes and let us know how he did every night and gave us suggestions to have a good day and better nights when she wasn’t coming in. Overall, Kourtney was the best doula we could have asked for and we loved working with her. We highly recommend her as a caregiver.

Hello and thanks for stopping and showing interest in my company! My name is Jaelyn Cooper and I’m a certified birth doula and certified child birth educator with SirenSong Doula Services. I hail from Spring, Tx and service most of Harris and surrounding counties, with my main focus being on low income, military, teen and lgbtqia+ parents. When I’m not doing birth work, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, and Amazon shopping. I do hope that you will reach out for a free consultation so we can decide if we’re a good match for each other. Have a mer-mazing day!
Jaelyn is an angel straight from heaven. I live across the country from my family, and she showed up as my best friend and my family during my delivery and postpartum. She was a tremendous advocate for me during my birth. I was committed to having a natural birth at a birth center, but after 18 hours of labor we had to take it to the hospital because of unavoidable complications. She did absolutely everything to protect and support me at the hospital, while I was pretty much delirious and struggling to make decisions, she was bold and brave standing up from my rights and needs the whole time. For example, the doctors wanted me to go straight to Pitocin to strengthen my ability to push, but Jaelyn knew I wanted to avoid medical interventions, so like a genius she instructed the doctors to give me a breast pump instead because pumping can have the same strengthening effect in an all-natural way. I didn’t even know that, but she did. All through the day and night at the birth center she kept me fed and hydrated, tirelessly held the detachable shower head for me for literally 3 hours straight as I was attempting a water birth, and gave me massages and helped me through all kinds of creative birthing positions. During my extremely challenging birth experience, feeling her hand holding mine was the most comforting and reassuring thing. Her energy was calm always. And then, low and behold postpartum at the hospital, she was my first visitor bringing me a gift bag full of beautiful high quality baby items, a huge bouquet of flowers, and a deluxe fruit tray which I devoured. She’s one of those friends who knows what you need without you having to say anything. She was born to be a doula, and she even remembered my dog’s name and asked about her which cheered me up so much! Plus, with my pregnancy Medicaid all of her services were free! She has a great sense of humor and made me laugh so hard during her hospital visits that they could definitely hear us in the next room! Anyway, God bless you Jaelyn and thank you for treating me with such kindness, love, and respect. And any of you looking for the best doula ever who will seriously have your back, Jaelyn is your girl.

I look forward to meeting you!
Goodness, where do I begin? I hope to convey how much Rachel truly means to our family but I'll start off by saying there aren't enough characters to express my love and gratitude for her. From the moment my husband and I first met her, we knew she was the perfect person to support us as we prepared to welcome our sweet son. After each prenatal visit, I left our conversation feeling more empowered, educated and excited for labor than before. She lovingly shared her wisdom not only as a doula but as a mother of 7 children. When I went into labor (18 days early) she showed up promptly and provided such a peace and strength that was present without words. She quietly rubbed my back, reassured me when I doubted myself, and relieved my nausea with essential oils. She stood back to allow my husband to be the main support. In order to limit the amount of people attending my son's birth I was unable to invite a photographer. Rachel stepped up and took some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. Looking at them, you'd never know I didn't have a professional photographer present. Rachel followed up with me and continued to check in weeks after I had given birth. We had a virtual visit and we discussed my son's birth and she filled in the pieces that weren't as clear in my memory. She not only encouraged me but my husband as well. I don't know what we would have done had we not had Rachel's support. Rachel and her mini fan are unstoppable. I can't recommend her enough. She is divinely gifted and we will certainly request her services for my future pregnancies.

Hi! I’m Christina — a passionate and heart-centered Postpartum Doula who believes every family deserves a gentle, supported beginning. I specialize in nurturing parents and newborns through those early weeks with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based care. My work is rooted in respect and inclusion — I proudly support all families, including LGBTQ+ parents and families of color, creating a space where you feel seen, safe, and valued. I understand that every postpartum journey is unique, and my goal is to help you rest, recover, and bond confidently with your baby. With years of experience caring for infants, I bring calm guidance through feeding, soothing, and early milestones, always honoring your family’s rhythms and choices. Together, we’ll create a peaceful foundation for this beautiful new chapter in your life.
We used a service for nighttime support with our second child and that’s when I got to meet Christina. She used to support us during evening and night shifts and I would recommend her for parents who need the extra support for both baby and mom. She goes above and beyond to help with things like meal prep, organizing, baby laundry, baby baths, cleaning breast pumps and bottles and a few more things. Her baby swaddling techniques were the BEST I’ve seen thus far. Christina is very compassionate and I am beyond grateful for having her help us tremendously through the first few weeks postpartum! 💖

Jennifer Mozeke, better known as Mozeke, is a native of Dallas but grew up in Louisiana. She is a Licensed Midwife in Texas and has attended more than 300 births. Mozeke is a graduate of Mercy In Action College of Midwifery where she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Midwifery degree. She also has a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Masters of Arts in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management from Columbia College Chicago. Her journey to midwifery began years ago after the birth of her first child. The experience left her with an intense passion for reproductive justice, birth equity and postpartum wellness. The calling was undeniable and soon after the birth of her second child in 2017, she was able to answer that call. Mozeke believes that midwifery care should be an affordable and easily accessible option for any pregnant person who desires holistic, evidence-based, family centered care where pregnancy is not viewed as an illness but rather a unique and normal process of life. She is dedicated to serving families in the Dallas-Fort Worth area through education, nutritional counseling, advocacy, prenatal, labor, birth and postpartum care.
Mozeke was the sweetest midwife. Better than I could have hoped for. She took us on late in my pregnancy after I decided against a hospital birth and made the process so easy and beautiful!

Hi, I’m Hope Balfa, MSW, CLC — a certified life coach, birth doula, Master's-level Social Worker, and mother of two based in Waco, Texas. Through my practice, Liminal Light, I support women and birthing people through life’s most sacred transitions — from pregnancy and birth to postpartum and parenting. My approach blends my social work education, trauma-informed care, and holistic coaching to nurture the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. I believe birth is not something we simply get through — it’s something we grow through. My goal is to help you feel grounded, informed, and empowered as you bring life into the world. Whether your birth unfolds at home, in a hospital, or in a birth center, I’m here to help you feel safe, seen, and supported every step of the way.
My name is Miriam and I first met Hope in our Intro to Social Work class in Spring of 2010. Just from what she shared in class and with me, and how she lived her life, the things she was passionate about, and the people she spoke up for, I sensed that I could trust her. I am now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and confidently affirm that Hope is a huge asset to any support team because her heart and soul are all in no matter what she does. She believes in people and calls out their strengths even when they can’t see it. Hope offered to be part of my birth team with my first daughter and I happily said yes! I was in early labor for 3 days and was scheduled to be induced on a Saturday (January 12, 2018). I came to the hospital that day in fear of what induction could mean. Would things just snowball? Would I need to end up having a C-section? Contractions/early labor hard started Wednesday and Hope helped me get through those hard 3 days before my baby arrived. Contractions would get worse at night, and became so unbearable that I could not sleep. I was going on 3 days of little to no sleep and Hope would stay up with me, coach me through contractions, coach me on what to do - get on the ball, take a warm bath, breathe. During the hardest time for me mentally she was there coaching me through it. On the day of delivery my water was supposed to be broken, but it broke on its own as I was getting on the bed for my OB to do it. I labored all day and Pitocin was introduced later in the evening when I was not advancing. I was tired and we said yes. At this point I had been laboring for 4 days and I wanted her to come. Hope knew what to do. She helped create a calm atmosphere in our room. We had calming essential oils going, music that meant something to me, she was there coaching me through breaths, applying pressure on my back that was the best relief I could ask for with back labor, rubbed my arms through the contractions and at times sensed what I needed without me having to ask mid contraction. At one point I started trembling when lying on the bed with a peanut ball between my legs. Hope stayed close and spoke calmly to me. It helped me stay calm and focus on contractions even though my body was shaking uncontrollably. My baby arrived later on, but Hope stayed through all of it. She was the support person I needed in that room. When our baby came out she even snapped photos which I treasure dearly. Hope went above and beyond to make me feel at peace and empowered to have my baby on my own terms. Our second daughter Camila was born during the pandemic (August 22, 2020). Hope had volunteered her time to be there again with my second baby as the faithful friend she is. Then COVID restrictions came and we could have no one in our room. My mind was feeling overwhelmed. The day I knew she was coming because my contractions started feeling painful while nursing my toddler. I was getting aggravated just nursing her and knew something was going to happen today. We went to the hospital with the intention of staying there and having the baby. I was not going to do multiple days of labor again. Camila came that day 6 hours after I went to the hospital. During those 6 hours and before, Hope had given us her care package with affirmations, her birth ball and all the necessities that helped me last time. I birthed with my husband and he was the best support person, but it didn’t feel the same this time. I didn’t have my mom. I didn’t have Hope. Hope added such a calming and supportive presence the previous time. She advocated for what I needed and I was missing that. She anticipated what I needed and it was a relief to not have to think and ask for those things during contractions. This time it was different. Hope couldn’t be in the room and I was feeling that. Contractions felt harder. I felt tense. I felt like I couldn’t concentrate. I had this mental block because my other support people I felt I really needed weren’t here. I would tense my body and anticipate each contraction with fear. Previously I was in my zone because I knew all my people had my back. I needed all of them and not having them physically there made me feel less than peaceful. Towards the end I had my husband Richard call Hope and she talked me through contractions and lifted my spirit. She gave me a pep talk and I don’t know what she said, but it helped me get in the mindset to have this baby. I went from fear to determination after talking to Hope. Our baby was born less than an hour later, and I give so much credit to Hope for mentally helping me through a really hard experience. Although my labor was way shorter, it felt more painful and my mindset made all the difference. While I was stuck in fear it felt more painful. After talking to Hope, I knew what I needed to do and something shifted. I will forever be grateful for her and the peace she brings to a delivery room in person and virtually. My girls are here and we’re all healthy, and Hope had lots to do with that. Miriam Hernandez, LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker

As a first-time mom with a newborn waking every 2–3 hours, I was completely exhausted—until Jasmine came into our lives. She was calm, professional, and incredibly nurturing. Thanks to her overnight care, I was finally able to get some real rest knowing my baby was in the best hands. She also offered so much helpful guidance and support without judgment. Jasmine was incredibly attentive, respectful of our routines and preferences, and always kept us informed of how the night went. We cannot recommend her enough to any parents looking for expert support and compassionate care during such a vulnerable and beautiful time.

Hello! My name is Tab’itha, better known as Tabby, and I’m a passionate certified professional midwife currently residing in Mesquite, Texas. I was born and raised in the Stop 6 area of Fort Worth, TX, and I am a proud mother of three teenage girls. From a young age, I always wanted to be a "baby doctor." My grandmother would often say, "You will be a doctor, and your sister will be a lawyer." Although I encountered quite a few roadblocks and detours along the way, I eventually found my way back to what my grandmother had always believed in, but in a way that resonates with me even more—becoming a midwife. I later discovered that midwifery was in my blood; my great-grandmother was a trusted midwife in her small community in Mississippi, which further inspired my journey. I graduated from Southwest Tech with an associate degree in Health Science and Midwifery in December 2024 and passed my NARM exam in April 2025, becoming fully licensed as a midwife in Texas. I am currently finishing up my Bachelor’s in Nursing at Arizona College, further enhancing my skills and knowledge in healthcare. My journey into birth work began in 2018 when I trained as a birth doula through DONA. As a doula, I have attended over 150 in-hospital and out-of-hospital births. When COVID peaked, I was fortunate enough to continue support in the hospital. It was during this time that I realized I needed to acquire the education and skills to become a community midwife sooner than I had originally planned. During my schooling, I attended an additional 95 births and worked with several well-respected midwives and OB-GYNs in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, gaining invaluable experience. I have also acquired skills and experience as a bereavement and cesarean/VBAC support specialist, allowing me to provide comprehensive care to families during significant moments in their lives. I believe in the power of compassionate care and informed choices, striving to create a safe and nurturing environment for my clients. My end goal is to become a certified nurse midwife and nurse practitioner, bringing holistic and woman-centered care to communities that lack representation, including the area where I grew up. As an avid homeschooler, I enjoy engaging with my daughters in their education while also finding joy in my hobbies such as sewing, crafts, hosting workshops for young girls, and assisting in the offices I hold in my church. My goal is to continue growing in my practice while providing exceptional care to those I serve.
Tabitha is such an amazing birth worker, I met her when she was a doula and in the beginning stages of midwifery. The way she educated myself as well as my husband showed us that she was really passionate about the profession that she is in. I highly recommend any family to get under her care. Your amazing Tabby keep shining!
