Hi friend! I'm Bianca, brand new to Texas, originally from Philly. I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Full Spectrum Doula and am currently working toward my Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). My work really sits at the intersection of clinical support, lived experience, and hands-on, activity-based care.  I’m also a breastfeeding mom of two little boys under five, so on any given day, I’m also a dinosaur trainer and a fully operational milk factory. Becoming a mother completely changed the way I understand support. There were many moments during pregnancy and postpartum where I realized how powerful it is to have someone in your corner. Someone understanding, calm, and knowledgeable when everything feels new and overwhelming. That experience is a big part of why I stepped into birth work. I wanted to become the kind of support I once needed. (And sometimes still do.)

I’m Jolene, a certified birth doula in South Texas. After 4 hospital births of my own, I wanted to be the support I wish I had. I love supporting first time moms and young moms on their journey so they are set up for success in their future births. My support is about educated, informed, mother-first care. When I’m not doing doula work I am supporting my local community through reproductive justice advocacy, sharing resources and education, and giving back when and where I can.

Hello, I have been a Birth and Postpartum Doula for a little over a year! I have had the pleasure to be present for 20 beautiful births! Before I became a doula I was a nanny for special needs children and I also had a child development associates degree and I was a preschool teacher. I love children and have been around children from birth to 18 years old. I also ran my own in home daycare. I am a loving mother to 5 beautiful children aged 17 years old to 2 years old!! After experiencing womb complications of my own including PCOS, I turned to contraception for help only to find out later that it caused my womb issues to worsen. Eager to heal my womb, I switched over to a holistic lifestyle, changing my diet and studying herbalism. I reversed my womb issues and became passionate to help other women take back their power and heal their wombs. My name is Sophie Perkins and I grew up in Kerrville, TX. I have been practicing as a doula since 2020, and I have fallen in love with this work. I have no children of my own, but my wonderful girlfriend and I have plans to expand our family. While I hope to be able to carry a child, we are very excited about the prospect of adopting or fostering children! My hobbies include spending time with my partner and pets, renovating our home, and reading. In 2016, a friend of mine got pregnant and hired a doula. Hearing her birth story was such a privilege and an eye opening experience! As the months passed, she shared with me honestly what it was like being a new mom–the sleep deprivation, confusion, visceral joy and love of having a child. I felt so honored that she would trust me, and I was inspired to find my place beside families as they welcome new children. I looked into doula work and was hooked immediately. After I was trained, I knew with certainty that I had found my passion.
