Brianna, originally from Las Vegas, NV, embarked on her educational journey towards becoming a midwife when she moved to Santa Barbara in 2015. There she studied and earned her BS in Psychology. In 2017, she attended a DONA doula training, a pivotal step in her commitment to supporting women during labor. As a student, Brianna volunteered at a local maternity home, offering prenatal nutrition classes and doula services. In 2019, she expanded her impact by volunteering with AmeriCorps as a Community Health Worker in Southern Utah, addressing social determinants of health. This experience underscored the strength of community and the importance of continuity of care. After completing her 12-month term, Brianna moved to San Diego to attend Midwifery school and commenced her clinical placement with San Diego Midwife in 2020. As a midwife, Brianna blends her foundation in psychology with specialized midwifery training, emphasizing a compassionate and empathetic approach. Her dedication extends to providing holistic care throughout the prenatal, labor, and postpartum phases, emphasizing both the physical and emotional well-being of mothers. Brianna is ardent about empowering women and ensuring that each birthing experience is a medically sound and emotionally enriching journey. In 2025, Brianna expanded her scope of care by becoming an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), deepening her commitment to supporting families in the critical postpartum period. Outside of midwifery, Brianna finds joy in traveling to Mexico and exploring new destinations, often connecting with local midwives and birth workers. She has found herself grounded living in Cardiff enjoying beach days, practicing yoga, and hiking with her dog, Itzli.

Brianna has been incredibly helpful in my journey to feeding my child. From breast-feeding, to proper latch, to weight gain, to finding and changing formulas, then fully weaning my child… She has been there alongside me, helping me be the best version of myself. She has the most kind and supportive demeanor. Although I started off feeling a lot of frustration on my feeding journey because I couldn’t breast feed how I wanted, I’ve only ever felt my baby and I were supportsd loved and cared for by Brianna. Ultimately we developed the perfect latch for my son and the perfect milk supply. I never got mastitis once even while I was weaning him and drying up milk. I’m so grateful I had Brianna to help me navigate my feeding journey because it went so smoothly! I also used her night nanny services and she and her team were outstanding in supporting me a few days a week to give me a little time to myself and give me tips and tricks for navigating the newborn stage at night! Thank you so much Brianna, I’m a better version of myself because of your support!

I began my career as a birth professional in 2013 as a registered nurse, specializing in Labor & Delivery. I am also a certified doula and home birth midwife. I have worked as a travel nurse in different states, which has allowed me to learn a variety of useful methods and introduce them where beneficial to my birthing moms. It has been my pleasure to work with families of diverse backgrounds, helping them welcome their new baby into the world and fulfill their best possible pregnancy & birth experience. I enjoy working with women who labor with or without epidurals assisting them with massage, positioning, and breathing techniques to achieve a calming labor experience. I have attended over 2,000 births including water birth and cesarean deliveries. I completed my training and certification as a birth and bereavement doula through both the DONA International and Stillbirthday (bereavement) programs. I have also obtained certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to assist women in their breastfeeding goals. As a Chocolate Milk Cafe facilitator I hold monthly meetings to provide Black women and their families with breastfeeding support and resources. I have received training as an Evidence Based Birth Instructor through Evidence Based Birth. Additionally, I have completed training to become a fertility and pregnancy and infant loss (PAIL) advocate. As a registered nurse I hold certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AWOHNN Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate & Advanced), and Safe Sleep. My goal is to help educate mothers and families to be as prepared as possible for the childbirth experience and help them to adjust thereafter. I offer hands-on support, as well as help mom understand each step of the labor/birth process so she may better voice her desires to her provider (MD/CNM). I am very open and willing to answer mom/family questions and address any expressed concerns. Sharing the birthing process and miracle of life is my passion. I know that the birthing process can be very overwhelming and my focus is to help diminish any sense of fear and replace it with knowledge and empowerment. I promise to hold your hand every step of the way so #Let’sHaveABaby! **I AM UNABLE TO SEE MESSAGES!** To connect Please schedule a consult via my website www.laboredwithlove.com 913-543-1077

I told Lydia plenty of times that she was godsend and I really mean that. I didn’t connect with her for doula services until I was 32 weeks pregnant. I thought it was too late but clearly that wasn’t the case. The amount of information that she provided my husband and I with was incredible. Another bonus was that this was a virtual service. Everyone knows what has been going on with Covid, so having meetings in person was not an option. Lydia met with us numerous times via zoom to make sure we had all of the tools to help us succeed. She informed me about all of my options throughout my pregnancy and reassured me to use my voice no matter what doctors or nurses said. They’re working for me, not the other way around lol. She definitely gave me the confidence to not allow them to do what is routine for them and tell them what works for me. She was there for us anytime we needed her. During my doctors appointments, during labor, and now postpartum. She checks in all of the time to make sure we are ok. Thanks to her, my husband was able to learn how to support me mentally and physically during labor which also helped me progress and able to have a delivery with no epidural. I would recommend her to every single pregnant woman it’s so important to have someone advocate and support you. I’m just thankful I was blessed to be able to work with her through my pregnancy.

If you’re looking for a midwife who will honor your intuition, walk beside you with reverence, and trust in the sacred design of birth, welcome. At Moon Phases of Life Ministry, I believe birth is not a medical event—it’s a powerful rite of passage. My care is rooted in autonomy, informed choice, and deep connection. As a traditional homebirth midwife and naturopathic practitioner, I support families with holistic tools, compassionate presence, and evidence-based wisdom, allowing your birth to unfold in safety, sovereignty, and love. I’m here to hold space, offer guidance, and witness your transformation—body, mind, and spirit.

Choosing Amy as our homebirth midwife was the best decision we made for our family. From our very first consultation, I knew she was different. She doesn’t just “do midwifery” — she embodies it. She is deeply knowledgeable, confident, and grounded, but also incredibly warm and intuitive. I never once felt rushed, dismissed, or pressured. Every appointment felt like true care, not just a checkup. During labor, Amy’s presence was everything. She was calm, steady, and completely trusting of my body. She knew when to offer guidance and when to simply hold space. I felt safe, empowered, and fully supported through every wave. My birth felt sovereign, respected, and deeply sacred. Her postpartum care has been just as amazing. She checks on both mom and baby thoroughly — physically and emotionally. She genuinely cares about the whole family, not just the clinical boxes that need to be checked. If you are looking for a homebirth midwife who honors physiological birth, protects your autonomy, and brings both skill and sacredness into the room, Amy is who you want. I will forever be grateful she walked this journey with us.

Hallelujah!! That’s what I shouted when I was finally able to find Beth! She has been with me through two home births and now takes care of my entire family as our Primary. Her prenatal and Homebirth care were amazing, I always felt listened to. Each visit there was respect and connection! I had a lot of opinions on what I wanted and didn’t want and she talked with me about each of them and never tried to force me to change my mind about anything. Even Vaccines!!! Leading up to my homebirths I was intimidated and spoke to her about that, she was able to point me in the right direction for resources and made great recommendations for my specific fears. When it finally came time to have my babies she was exactly the presence I needed. Hands off but there. My husband and I felt absolutely taken care of and safe. She trusted my body and helped me to trust it to. My sons labor was textbook but my daughters labor was all over the place, 1min contractions followed by 15min breaks or 30sec contractions followed by 1min break. Just all over the place. (I know I would have been given pitocin if I was in a hospital.) I was worried but she reassured me that everything was fine and sure enough my daughter came out in the exact same amount of time it took for my son! I had a 15min rest period between contractions right before the last one that got her out. They were both 6hour labors with drastically different contraction cycles and both ended with beautiful births and healthy babies! I adore her middle of the road approach to health care. She gives amazing advice on things to do for sicknesses and different issues without running to medication. Which is very important for us. Even with ADHD issues she’s given me different things to try that I had never thought of. You kind of only think medication but there’s a whole lot we could do if that’s the route you choose. Having a primary that intimately knows my kids and myself is something I thought wasn’t possible at this day and age. We are so blessed to have found her and I feel completely confident that my kids health is the most important not some agenda! We are blessed to have a Primary we COMPLETELY trust that we can run to!

I’m Connie Lambeth, a Certified Professional Midwife and Licensed Midwife. My love of birth started as a preschooler — when my mother asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up — I knew I wanted to catch babies. I had the ability to receive midwifery care during both of my pregnancies and births, and postpartum experiences. Directly benefitting from midwifery care lit the fire in my life of what is possible for individualized holistic healthcare. I’ve been professionally involved in birthwork since 2015, first as a certified doula and Hypnobirthing childbirth educator, and now as a midwife. I earned my midwifery degree from the National College of Midwifery based out of Taos, NM, and studied my hands-on learning over an intensive two years. I had the honor of apprenticing with two home birth midwives in the Madison area, and at a high volume out-of-hospital birth center in Milwaukee under the guidance of five midwives and one physician. Before becoming a midwife, I was a teacher (I’ve taught early childhood to adult learners, from Public to Montessori), with a Master’s Degree in Educational Research. As a lifelong learner and experiential educator, I see pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting as life’s greatest experiential lessons. Although I don’t teach in a classroom anymore, I use my background as a teacher, educator, and researcher to help families to make informed choices and feel supported while they grow. I’m committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in my practice of culturally competent and comprehensive midwifery care. I value each individual navigating their childbearing year tremendously and strive to do everything I can do to support them in reaching their goals. Helping individuals and their families during one of the most influential transitions of their lives speaks to my values and most natural skill set: compassion, empathy, and openness.
