What’s so wonderful about Michelle is that she is so clearly both extremely passionate and knowledgeable about pregnancy and birth. Her experience is totally invaluable. I knew I could trust her to do whatever ended up being necessary during labor — whether that was helping to ensure baby was in an optimal position, being an advocate, offering guidance or simply supporting me through the experience. I cannot recommend Blissful Sleep enough! We have used them twice now, and their timeliness and reliability really stood out compared to other services we’ve tried. The doulas are natural at soothing and caring for babies, and they were incredibly helpful with establishing routines. Beyond just childcare, they did dishes, washed bottles and pump parts, and helped with other chores, which gave us more time for sleep. We appreciated how flexible they were. They always adjusted to whatever we needed that specific morning—some days that meant letting the baby sleep as long as possible, and other days they had her changed and fed so she was ready for our morning rush to school/ work. If our baby didn't need anything in the morning they would brew coffee and read to the older kiddos. They go above and beyond to support the whole family.

Working with Alondra was an amazing experience! She was a soothing and knowledgeable presence from the beginning. She was intentional in her communication and fielded all my questions. She genuinely cared about my baby as she checked in with me after all my appointments. She helped me create a birth plan and was super supportive. She encouraged my husbands participation in my labor and birth and made sure he also felt supported during this. As someone who wanted to labor at home and then go to the hospital for a water birth, it came as a surprise to me when my water broke well before labor started. I knew that this increased my risk for infection but Alondra was supportive of my decision to give my body time to allow labor to start naturally. It had been well over 24 hours and my labor had not started which allowed fear and worry to creep in on my husband and I. Alondra made the decision to join us at our house prior to us all going to the hospital. She was able to provide the emotional support both my husband and I needed but didn't realize it. Alondra then came with us to the hospital. Seeing the hospital room and knowing I was going to have to do my entire labor there which was not what I wanted triggered a lot of emotion for me. Alondra created a beautiful moment for my husband and played our wedding song and had us slow dance. It's a moment I'll never forget and am so grateful for. Alondra continued to encourage me to do some exercises and positioning techniques to help quicken labor. Before I knew it, active labor had started without the need for pitocin. Alondra supported my husband through supporting me and also helped with certain positions and techniques to make me as comfortable as possible. Just 12 hours after getting to the hospital, our sweet baby boy was born. Although it wasn't as I had planned, I was still able to have an all natural water birth. I truly would not have been able to do it without Alondra!

Allie came into our lives at such a pivotal moment in time and I will forever be grateful that our paths crossed when they did. As a first time mom, I had spent hours of time reading, listening, and meditating in preparation for our twin home birth - I knew that I wanted a support person in addition to my husband, but I didn't know exactly what that looked like in practical form. I'd had another doula planning to accompany our home birth, but in the final weeks of my pregnancy, she was not able to support me after all. That's where Allie gracefully came into the picture. I was connected with Allie through my midwife's glowing recommendation of her. By the end of our first visit, I truly felt as though we had been friends for years. I am so grateful to have met her when I did, as I ended up going into labor the next day! Allie is kind, compassionate, affirming, gentle, empathetic, and has such a beautiful heart for mamas and their birth experiences. I went through active labor for several hours with my husband before we asked Allie to head our way. I will always be amazed at how much lighter my contractions felt as soon as Allie arrived. She quietly and seamlessly entered into my birthing den and as she held space for my surges while my husband could take a rest, I noticeably felt so much more relaxed and at peace. Even though labor was progressing quickly, it all felt significantly smoother with Allie's presence at my side. She kept me hydrated and nourished so that as my body did the handwork, my mind could be at rest. This was happening. This was right. This was meant to be We welcomed our Lana Rose at 6:12pm after a 12 hour labor. Our Esme Jane came just a short 10 minutes later at 6:22pm. Allie was there to hold my hand and my heart through the most empowering experience of my life. She captured the most beautiful moments on camera that I will cherish forever, and cared for me so thoroughly and attentively in my hours after the birth. Allie is, in short, like both a sister and a best friend all wrapped into one amazing soul. Her presence made every difference not only for me, but also for my husband. We will forever be grateful to her for sharing her heart with us in abundance on that special day.

Isabelle was a wonderful night nanny for us with my first child. She provided invaluable advice about slowly training our daughter to sleep fully through the night and getting her down earlier. She was also an incredible resource for advice about feeding and general baby care, especially as we were dealing with challenges of lots of spitting it up. We are so thankful for Kim and her crew during those early months with our daughter. Even as a second time mom it is so helpful to have an extra set of seasoned eyes on your newborn. Our daughter was dealing with some gas issues. She was able to help us figure out what worked for our daughter. We adjusted her bottle and post feeding routine to help alleviate the gas. I also feel that they help lay the ground work for independent sleep which is such a blessing! We cannot thank them enough for the care they have provided for both of our children. If baby three ever happens, they will be our first call!
