About me

Are you excited about birth, but overwhelmed by how much there is to learn, decide, and prepare for? Hi, I’m Perrin O’Malley, a birth doula and women’s health educator. I support women who care deeply about having a positive labor experience and don’t want to learn through trial and error. Together, we get ahead of labor by understanding your options, preparing for different outcomes, and building a plan that honors your dream birth while keeping you flexible for whatever unfolds. My approach is calm, confident, analytical, and deeply attuned to the emotional and physical experience of birth. I believe the mother is the center of the birth — her body, her values, her safety, and her voice lead the way. As a mother myself, and after speaking with over 100 mothers about what they wish they had known before birth, I help clients move from worried and fearful to supported, informed, and empowered.

I don’t know what I would have done without Perri! She was and still is there for me every step of the way. Having the support to navigate through becoming a mother made the transition much smoother. My labor would have been a whole different experience if it wasn’t for her guidance. She is the best!

If you are looking for a Doula please take the time to talk to Perrin. She understood my preferences, answered every question with patience and expertise, and helped me feel confident in the decisions I made. During labor her calming presence, encouragement, and practical support provided incredible comfort for both me and my partner. I would wholeheartedly recommend this doula service to any first-time mom or seasoned mom looking for a caring advocate who will help create a positive, personalized birth experience.

We cannot recommend Perri highly enough. After my wife had a difficult first pregnancy, we wanted to do everything we could to make this experience different — and Perri exceeded every expectation. From the start, Perri was professional, reliable, and incredibly prepared. She developed a detailed, multi-page birth plan tailored to us, walked us through pregnancy exercises to help manage pressure and pain, and had thoughtful, intelligent answers to every question we had — often offering options and perspectives we hadn’t even considered. She came fully equipped, bringing her own TENS machine and even personal lighting to help create a calm, comfortable environment in the delivery room. She arrived at the hospital shortly after we were admitted and stayed by our side well into the early hours of the morning until we were settled into the post-labor nursing rooms. Not once did we feel like we were on our own. The difference Perri made was night and day. My wife described this birth experience as truly positive — something she didn’t think was possible after her first. That means the world to us. If you are looking for a doula who is knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely invested in your experience, look no further. Thank you, Perri — we are so grateful. 🤍
