Night Nannies & Night Nurses Near Me in New Bedford, MA

Hi, I’m Melanie Powell—certified doula, childbirth educator, author of From Fear to First Cry, and the founder of both Little Flower Birth Services and the non-profit Under His Wings Collective. As a mother myself, I know firsthand that bringing a child into the world is one of the most profound, transformative journeys you will ever take. But I also know it can bring up deep questions, past fears, and medical anxieties. That is why my life’s work is dedicated to walking beside women and their partners, ensuring you never have to navigate the medical landscape alone. Through Little Flower Birth Services, my practice is rooted in three core pillars: Advocacy to help your partner step into their role as your protector, Sanctuary to guard your peace with a protective "Baby Bubble," and Autonomy to honor your God-given intuition through a trauma-informed framework. Whether I'm teaching evidence-based physiological birth classes, coaching partners in our signature advocacy workshops, or offering quiet, steadfast support in the delivery room, my goal is to transform your anxieties into your greatest strengths. Beyond my private practice, my heart for community led me to establish Under His Wings Collective—a non-profit initiative dedicated to expanding access to sliding-scale and free childbirth education, alongside trauma-informed virtual doula support (such as our Virtual Bloom Package) for Medicaid-eligible, low-income, and high-anxiety mothers who deserve dedicated care regardless of circumstance. When I’m not supporting families across the DFW Metroplex, leading virtual education cohorts, or advocating through the collective, you can usually find me baking something nourishing for loved ones or cherishing quiet moments with my daughter. You deserve to enter your birth room feeling strong, informed, and deeply supported. I would be honored to walk this sacred journey with you.

As an indigenous person working as a lactation counselor, childbirth educator, birth doula and postpartum doula I offer unique opportunities to integrate traditional practices with contemporary support. In this experience, the doula role extends beyond the physical recovery and infant care; it requires cultural humility , respect for ancestral knowledge and recognition of the community’s values. This experience highlights that postpartum care is not one-size-fits-all model. The doula’s presence becomes a bridge between worlds-supporting modern postpartum practices while safeguarding cultural continuity. In conclusion, working with an indigenous doula ;has given me the responsibility to practice the cultural humility of my heritage, honor my traditional knowledge and provide holistic care. Such experiences that demonstrate support is most effective when it respects identity, empowers families and nurtures both body and spirit!

Hi, I’m Arianna, a birth and postpartum doula, certified women’s fitness coach, and respiratory therapist with over six years of experience caring for patients in critical care settings. My passion for supporting families deepened after becoming a mother myself. Following the birth of my daughter, who spent time in the NICU, I experienced firsthand the emotional highs and challenges that can come with pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum transition. That journey strengthened my commitment to ensuring families feel informed, supported, and never alone during this transformative season of life. I believe every family deserves compassionate, personalized care that honors their unique values, preferences, and goals. My approach combines evidence-based education with emotional and physical support, empowering you to make confident decisions throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. Whether you’re preparing for your first baby, welcoming another child, or navigating the early weeks of parenthood, I am here to provide guidance, reassurance, and a steady presence every step of the way.

Nurturing the Whole Family I meet you exactly where you are, offering guidance, reassurance, resources, and space to rest, heal, and adjust while caring for your newborn. I support not just the baby, but you and your household as a whole—without judgment. With ongoing, compassionate support, families feel grounded, capable, informed, and truly cared for. My role is to provide steady, thoughtful guidance as your family settles into your new rhythm, helping you navigate the joys and challenges of early parenthood with confidence and calm. Great News for Parents! We are proud to offer postpartum care that can be reimbursed by insurance. For families with Blue Cross Blue Shield, you can receive up to 15 hours of postpartum care, valued at $1,500, reimbursed at the end of your journey. We also bill Carrot Insurance and Maven Insurance, and we are in the process of joining the United Healthcare network. To use Blue Cross or United benefits, you must work with a board-certified perinatal doula in Rhode Island—which I am! This means you can focus on your postpartum recovery while we handle the paperwork and ensure your care is covered.

Hi, I'm Carrie-Lee! I'm a postpartum specialist with over fifteen years supporting families. Families I've worked with often say the same thing, that I put them instantly at ease, that I teach without ever making them feel overwhelmed, and more than one has told me they felt like they won the lottery finding me. That means everything to me. I raised three wildly creative, wonderfully unique kids to adulthood, and that experience shapes everything I bring into a family's home. Over the years I've kept training so I could support postpartum families in every direction they need it, baby care, parent education, helping parents sleep, helping baby sleep, meal prep, lactation support, all of it. So instead of piecing together three or four different specialists, you get one person who already knows your family. I'm laid back, calm under pressure, and genuinely love what I do. When I'm not with a family you'll find me camping, roller skating, gardening, canning, practicing archery, or slowly working my way toward conversational Spanish. Let's chat and see if we're a good fit! Hi, I’m Marsha, founder of Blissful Sleep Doulas. I began supporting families as a postpartum doula in 2018, and what started as one doula caring for one family at a time has grown into a trusted team of experienced, dedicated doulas supporting new and growing families throughout Greater Boston and beyond. Blissful Sleep Doulas offers birth and postpartum doula support, breastfeeding support, newborn and infant sleep support, and prenatal education. We also offer digital guides covering pregnancy, newborn care, postpartum recovery, feeding, sleep, and more, because we believe parents deserve reliable support and practical answers throughout the entire journey, not just after baby arrives. Every doula on our team is carefully vetted and brings professional training, hands-on experience, and a genuine passion for supporting families. Our approach is warm, judgment-free, and personalized to your family, your baby, and the kind of support you actually need. We believe the postpartum season deserves just as much care and preparation as birth itself. You shouldn’t be expected to figure everything out on your own or feel like you have to do it all without help. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating those first weeks at home, looking for overnight support so everyone can get some much-needed rest, or trying to understand your baby’s changing sleep needs, our team is here to help you feel supported, rested, and confident along the way. Rested Parents. Thriving Babies.

Hi, I'm Jennifer! For over 25 years, I've supported families as a Childbirth Educator, Labor and Postpartum Doula, and Certified Infant/Toddler Montessori Teacher. I believe every birth experience and every fourth trimester is unique, and that it truly takes a village.
