I’ve spent more than 15 years supporting families through birth, postpartum recovery, and overnight newborn care. I began my career as a professional nanny, working closely with more than a dozen children over several years. In 2008, I was honored to be recognized as Nanny of the Year by Family Helpers, and the following year I was selected as a finalist to appear on ABC’s America’s Supernanny. In 2009, I trained as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. Around the same time, I became a parent myself. Experiencing the postpartum period firsthand gave me a deeper understanding of how vulnerable, complex, and important those early weeks can be. That experience ultimately shaped my decision to focus my work on supporting families during birth and the transition home with a new baby. Over the years, I have attended 112 births and supported more than 200 families, including 39 sets of twins, through postpartum and overnight newborn care. As my private practice grew, I founded Nightingale Night Nurses, an overnight newborn care agency based in Massachusetts. Through that work, I built and led a team of experienced Postpartum Doulas, Newborn Care Specialists, and nurses, creating individualized care plans for families seeking overnight and extended newborn support. Building on that foundation, I later expanded the work nationally under the name Well Supported Family, with a continued focus on ethical practices, professional sustainability, and high-quality, family-centered care. We would love the opportunity to support your family's postpartum experience.

As new parents, can't imagine what we would have done without Bethany and Keyana's support. The mental, emotional, and physical support and care is priceless during the newborn phase and we cannot recommend Well Supported Family enough- especially for new parents! Thank you Karina and team for taking such good care of us so we in turn could take care of our son.

With over 30 years of experience in child care—including 16 years as a center director—I began my work as a postpartum doula in 2018. As a mom of three grown children (including two retired service members) and a proud new grandmother, I bring both professional expertise and personal insight to every family I support. I love helping new moms navigate the fourth trimester with confidence, combining my training and hands-on experience to make a meaningful difference in their transition. Supporting families during this special time is truly my passion. I’m here to answer your questions and walk alongside you on this beautiful journey.

I cannot recommend Blissful Sleep enough! We have used them twice now, and their timeliness and reliability really stood out compared to other services we’ve tried. The doulas are natural at soothing and caring for babies, and they were incredibly helpful with establishing routines. Beyond just childcare, they did dishes, washed bottles and pump parts, and helped with other chores, which gave us more time for sleep. We appreciated how flexible they were. They always adjusted to whatever we needed that specific morning—some days that meant letting the baby sleep as long as possible, and other days they had her changed and fed so she was ready for our morning rush to school/ work. If our baby didn't need anything in the morning they would brew coffee and read to the older kiddos. They go above and beyond to support the whole family.

Currently booking fall 2026 and winter 2027, with limited availability remaining for September through December. Beginning Summer 2026, I will be offering office and in-home lactation support Hi there! I’m Andrea Doula, and Newborn Care Specialist with nearly two decades of experience supporting families through every stage of the perinatal journey. My background includes over 10 years in childcare and almost another decade in birth and postpartum work, where I’ve had the honor of helping families welcome their babies with peace, confidence, and support that feels both personal and practical. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, or finding your rhythm with a newborn, my goal is to create a calm, and empowering environment where you feel informed, respected, and cared for. From evidence-based education and emotional support to hands-on newborn care and rest planning, I meet each family right where they are. I believe birth and postpartum are sacred, transformative times that deserve compassionate guidance and genuine connection and it’s my joy to walk alongside families as they grow, helping them feel confident, supported, and never alone in the process.

Working with my Andrea was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From our prenatal visits, she brought a sense of calm and reassurance that helped put both my husband and I at ease. During labor, her guidance of comfort measures and steady presence helped me stay focused and confident throughout. She anticipated needs before we had to ask and created a supportive environment for everyone. Even after delivery she stayed with us to make sure I felt comfortable, and cared for in those first moments postpartum.

Hi, I'm Carrie-Lee! Supporting families has always felt like second nature to me, and after raising three incredible kids of my own, I can honestly say there isn't much that surprises me anymore. My oldest is up in Maine working on his off-grid yurt dream. My middle kid is a junior at Keene State fully immersed in theater tech. And my youngest is a vocalist finishing her freshman year at Berklee College of Music in Spain. Every single one of them came in with their own wild, wonderful personality — and raising them is the best thing I've ever done. When I'm not up late with a newborn or navigating a 3am blowout, you'll find me camping, roller skating, gardening, canning, practicing archery, or slowly working my way toward conversational Spanish. I'm laid back, calm under pressure, realistic, and I genuinely love what I do. Hire me and I promise you'll wonder how you ever thought you could do this without me. Let's chat and see if we're a good fit! We had an exceptional experience with Carrie-Lee. As first-time parents bringing our newborn home, having her support as our postpartum doula made an incredible difference for our family. From the moment we met her, Carrie-Lee was warm, kind, and immediately put us at ease. Her extensive knowledge and experience with newborn care were evident in everything she did, and we trusted her completely to care for our daughter while we caught up on some much-needed sleep. Knowing our baby was in such capable and loving hands gave us tremendous peace of mind. Beyond the practical support, Carrie-Lee was also an amazing teacher. We learned so much simply by watching her interact with our daughter and through the thoughtful guidance and advice she shared with us. She has a wonderful ability to share her expertise in a way that feels encouraging, approachable, and never overwhelming. Carrie-Lee is not only exceptionally skilled but also incredibly down-to-earth and genuinely kind. We are so grateful she was part of our postpartum journey and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone welcoming a new baby, including our own family and closest friends. She is truly an invaluable resource, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had her support during such a special time.

It's said that breastfeeding a baby is the most natural thing in the world, but it doesn't always come naturally. Like many new parents, I experienced a few challenges while breastfeeding my own children. I want to help others avoid or overcome similar difficulties, if possible. The nursing dyad is such a special relationship and I want as many people as possible to get a chance to experience it. Here in America, lactation consultants are often the only health professional visiting a new family in their home, and sometimes we are the only health care worker seeing a new mom in the first six weeks postpartum. I feel really lucky to be one of the first people to meet the new baby! An IBCLC is a unique professional for your family's unique needs. We are small parts sister, friend, nurse, doula, nutritionist, therapist, parenting coach, biology teacher, and detective! We are an important part of your postpartum support system!

I wish I could give Sharla 10 stars!! Her communication is exceptional - from the first outreach for scheduling, in person, and after our appointments she was responsive and timely (even if I texted her at 9 PM on a Friday, sorry Sharla!). She is a perfect mix of professional and kind which made it so comfortable. She is extremely knowledgeable and the variety of suggestions and tools she explained and offered was so uplifting and really took the fear out of the experience we were having. Happy to also report her suggestions solved our bottle refusal after a few weeks!
