We cannot say enough good things about this company! Kim is truly a fantastic doula, a wealth of knowledge and has helped us feel much stronger and more confident taking care of our son. Rebecca is another fantastic doula and always offers to help with tasks beyond just taking care of our son. You are in great hands with this company, and Karen is excellent at pairing doulas with families!

They say motherhood is one of life’s greatest joys. And it is—but what people don’t often talk about is how incredibly hard those first weeks and months can be. After 9 months of physical changes, a challenging birth (whether natural or c-section—both take a toll), your baby finally arrives… and yet, instead of soaking up every precious moment, you’re exhausted. The sleepless nights, postpartum hormones, and the emotional and mental overwhelm hit hard. And on top of that, you’re expected to care for your newborn around the clock, without any real time to recover. How can any woman truly enjoy what we’ve waited so long for under those conditions? That’s where a mother’s helper—doulas—come in. They are the answer to a postpartum mom’s prayers: help, relief, and healing. Honestly, this kind of support should be covered by insurance for every new mother. But because society expects us to “bounce back” and keep moving, many moms go without the care they truly need. I gave myself permission to get help the second time around, and my experience was so much better than with my first. It felt like I was finally able to enjoy motherhood the way I had always imagined. I’ve always been big on gifts, and at first my husband asked if this could be my push gift. I said no. But after going through it, I laughed and told him it absolutely could count towards it—because the gift of support, healing, and peace of mind was priceless. If you’re a new mom, give yourself the chance to truly enjoy this time. You deserve it. Also, Karen, the owner was incredibly supportive, responsive, and flexible. She made the process of trusting someone with our newborn possible. The doulas she sent: Jen and Chloe, were absolutely caring, kind, and loving towards our family, especially our daughter and that allowed me to get the rest and healing that I needed.

We had a wonderful experience with Mother's Helpers and our night doula, Kim! Kim was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, professional and helpful. We learned so much from her as we transitioned into being parents and could not be more grateful. Working with Karen was also wonderful and we couldn't recommend Mother's Helpers more!

Karen and Jen from Mother’s helpers were huge life savers when we had our first child in April 2025. Karen, the owner is extremely knowledgeable, professional and easy to communicate with either via phone or email. After interviewing a few doulas, we decided to select Jen and she was so amazing with our son and offered incredible advice and support. We felt as though our baby was in safe hands and she treated our son as her own. She was helpful, accommodating and gave so much advice and support when we asked questions or felt lost as this was our first child. Karen and Jen were also extremely flexible with our hours and dates when the baby arrived. Highly recommend if you are looking for extra support with your little one!

I was looking for overnight postpartum support and came across Mother's Helpers — and I’m so glad I did! The entire process was smooth and painless. Karen truly listened to my needs and matched me with a couple of wonderful doulas to meet before I made my decision. I ended up working with Melissa, who was absolutely fantastic. She was always on time, responsive over text whenever I had random questions, and incredibly helpful in easing my new-parent anxieties. I can’t recommend working with a doula from Karen’s team enough — it made a huge difference during those early weeks!

I had the pleasure of working with two incredible doulas from Mother’s Helpers — Chanel and Carly — and I couldn’t be more grateful for their support. Both were highly experienced, organized, and made me feel at ease from the start. Each night they cared for my son, they clearly communicated the plan and kept me informed, which gave me peace of mind and much-needed rest. I wholeheartedly recommend Mother’s Helpers to any new parent seeking reliable and compassionate overnight care.

We had an overally really positive experience with Mother's Helpers. We appreciated that Karen was able to connect us with overnight care very last-minute after our baby was born. All of the doulas were very loving toward our daughter and had helpful knowledge and suggestions with regard to sleep, feeding, and other infant care topics. Having them there overnight allowed my spouse and I to sleep soundly knowing she was in good hands. I would definitely recommend MH to others!

I found mother’s helpers about seven years ago and it’s been life changing for our family. We have nicknamed the company “Mother’s Mentors” Karen has a qualified loving team that has enabled priceless bandwidth and joy in our lives. I recently told a surgeon with an infant at home that services like these probably “save lives” I hope all professionals that need to take care of others can get support from a company of this caliber. We all know children need lots of time and love. Think of it as an investment in humanity’s future.
