Hi, I'm Connie! I'm a Full Spectrum Doula, Hypnobirthing Educator, Student Midwife, and training Breastfeeding Specialist/International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I'm honored to nurture families as they move through the childbearing year. After attending my doula training and doulaing my first birth in 2015, I knew I had found my life calling. Before becoming a doula I was a teacher (I’ve taught early childhood to adult learners, and Public to Montessori), with a Master’s Degree in Educational Research. As a lifelong learner and experiential educator, I see pregnancy, birth, and parenting as life’s greatest experiential lessons. Although I don’t teach in the classroom anymore, I use my background as a teacher, educator, and researcher to help families to make informed choices and feel supported while they grow. I'm committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in my practice of Anti-Racist, Disability inclusive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming doula support. Helping families during one of the most influential transitions of their lives speaks to my values and most natural skill set: compassion, empathy, and openness.
