As a postpartum doula, I am part of your village! I am a mom too!I know how overwhelmed I felt at the idea of bringing a newborn home, recovering from birth, and trying to breastfeed. Since the birth of my daughter, I have worked with many families, helping them thrive during the early postpartum period.
Let me just say—it was truly a blessing to have found Reihaneh (Rey) Hadipour to support us on our newborn journey. From day one, she was an incredible help, especially for a first-time mom. Whether it was guiding us through different feeding positions, showing us how to bathe the baby, gently clipping those delicate little nails, or offering countless other thoughtful services, Rey brought both care and confidence to every moment. She comes with a wealth of experience and is truly a compassionate, skilled professional. We’re so grateful for her support during such a special and tender time in our lives

If you value both evidence and intuition, I might be the doula for you. I love helping clients combine research and their own instincts to make decisions that are right for them. Furthermore, I might be the doula for you if you want support without an agenda. I don’t believe there’s an ideal way to approach birth or postpartum adjustment. I’m here to understand and support whatever path you want to take.
Glory was my daughter’s doula, and she helped bring my very first grand baby into the world. You can only imagine how scared and nervous I was, though I tried not to let my daughter see it. I worried I wouldn’t be the support she needed, and my anxiety was overwhelming. But the moment Glory walked in, everything ran so smoothly and I felt I could breathe. She was incredibly knowledgeable and informative about all things labor, which instantly gave us peace of mind. Glory wasn’t just there for my daughter, she was also there for me, keeping me calm and reassured. She advocated for anything and everything my daughter wanted during labor, making sure her voice was heard and respected every step of the way. On top of her guidance, she came prepared with thoughtful equipment like soft lighting and white noise, which transformed the cold, bland hospital room into a more comfortable and soothing space, for my daughter, and everyone else in the room, as well.

After my son's birth, I was reeling from how well my birth journey went. I heard so many horror stories from friends and family about how their birthing days went. I was appalled for them. Most were pushed around by hospital staff, forced into unnecessary c-sections or just completely unaware of what options they had! I became determined to be an advocate for women who want to feel validated and that they can birth the way they choose. I wanted to be able to provide a beautiful experience, to anyone who desired it. Having my son empowered me to help other women have the birth of their dreams. I strive for a smooth, calm process, free from stress, judgement and fear. Whether it be at home, a birth center or hospital, all natural, medicated or planned c-sections, I believe that women should be able to do things their own way. Because each and every woman, birth and baby is different, I take pride in supporting you, however you choose to proceed. Hospitals can get confusing, nurses/OB's can get impatient, let me be your advocate through this journey. Let me help you, do you. Let's birth the way that you want.
We’re so glad we had Betsy as our doula for this journey. From the very beginning, she was super friendly, supportive and knowledgeable , sending us all kinds of helpful materials, everything from hospital packing lists to a birth plan template, and natural ways to induce labor. She really helped us feel prepared going into it. During the birth, Betsy was amazing! I had a 52 hour labor and she was there with us through the thick of it, helping with breathing, acupressure, and just keeping us calm and grounded. She made it easier for me to advocate for myself, especially when things didn’t go quite as planned. Her support helped me feel way more confident and in control. She’s also been incredibly helpful postpartum, always checking in and offering guidance and extra help with almost anything when we’ve needed it! Honestly, she’s been such a steady and positive presence through the whole experience. We truly couldn’t have done it without her and can’t recommend her enough! Thanks for helping us bring our beautiful baby Henry into this world! We’re so grateful for you Betsy!

Every birth and every family is so unique and deserves the space and respect to navigate that journey. Educating yourself, finding the best people to be apart of your birthing team, and uncovering your births hopes and dreams are so important in helping you achieve your ideal birth. This is your birth and I am here to help you navigate it. I strive to create a positive, non-judgmental, and inclusive experience for every birthing environment I am welcomed into.
I cannot say enough positive and kind words about Sharlene! Her support and guidance were exactly what I needed during so many ups and downs of my pregnancy. This was my second birth, my redemption birth. From our first meeting, I knew she understood my husband and my trauma from our first birth, our goals for this birth, and what we desired and needed. This started with her encouraging and validating my decision to change OBs at 28 weeks. She wrapped her supportive arms around us as we were monitored extensively at the end by a specialist. She answered every message with such grace, always saying just what I needed. She advocated for us before we even got to the hospital and I looked to her throughout. Sharlene, my husband, and new OB made up my dream team and curated my redemption birth. I am overwhelmingly grateful to have had her in my corner, then and always.

Hello- my name is Nicole and I am a birth and postpartum doula. I truly enjoy helping moms and families have the birth story they want. I want to support and provide families with advocacy when applicable. Also, give the emotional, spiritual, and physical support you need on your birth journey and postpartum. I have worked as HR manager for the last 25 years. I have transitioned into being a birth/postpartum doula. I have extensive knowledge of California Law and California leave practices. Hi! I’m Sydney, the founder of The Village Doula Collective, LLC. My journey into birth work began nearly a decade ago while working as a nanny. What started as childcare evolved into something deeper—I found myself supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and I realized how much I loved being part of that transformative time. That experience led me to become a doula, and since then, I’ve dedicated my career to providing compassionate, informed, and inclusive care. I am a certified full-spectrum doula, trained through the Somatic Arts & Sciences Institute, with additional education from organizations such as Cornerstone Doula Trainings, and Birth Advocacy Doula Training. I also received my Lactation Education Specialist training from Santiago Canyon College. I’ve had the honor of attending births and supporting families through postpartum recovery, and my passion for this work continues to grow. With a bachelor’s degree in sociology, I understand that birth support is not just about physical care—it’s about addressing the systemic disparities that impact birthing people, particularly in BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. My mission is to make doula care accessible and equitable, ensuring that every family—regardless of income, background, or identity—has the support they need. At The Village Doula Collective, we believe in the power of community. Whether through direct support, education, or advocacy, we’re here to uplift birthing people and the doulas who serve them.
Sydney has been the support I needed to feel prepared, safe, and confident to go through birth and postpartum. I started with basically no knowledge about the physical process of birth or what my options would be in the hospital. Sydney walked me through every variable and option so I knew my choices but she never pushed me into decisions she just gave me information to make my own. Postpartum Sydney was EVERYTHING. She helped me prepare with my husband and was so reassuring as we started breastfeeding and caring for our baby as first time parents. It was so much better to be able to text Sydney my questions instead of google spiraling on normal newborn behaviors. I could go in and in but basically, Sydney will make your experience 100x better and you’ll want her to be a part of your family forever!

My name is Camille and I dream of creating a safe birthing space for everyone, everywhere. Too often, women and birthing persons’ pain is overlooked, their rights not respected, and their voices not heard. We all deserve a safe space to bring life into this world. "In a perfect marriage, there are times when you’re the flower, and times when you’re the gardener helping it bloom. ~ Hortensia Bishop" As a birthworker, I intend to be the gardener of your birthing room, ensuring your rights as a birthing person are protected and that you can bloom your abundance into this world in peace and safety.
Camille is one of the most caring and supportive people I have ever met! She goes above and beyond for everyone and everything in her life. Speaking from my own personal experience, Camille is extremely attentive and trustworthy and I would recommend her to anyone.

My name is Krystal Brisette Vélez-Gómez-Edwards and I am of Indigenous-Mexicana and Nicaragüense descent. I am open to supporting all births of all beliefs and practices. I am passionate about my own cultural work and practicing as a traditional, Mexican doula, acknowledging birth as ceremony. My first career path was in nursing until I discovered my dismay with Western medicine and healthcare. Years later I experienced the birth of my son, Michael, who is now 16. I was 21 and had no support outside of my marriage, I had no clue what I was doing and I didn't know what I didn't know. I ate awfully and gained at least 70 pounds. When my water broke and I was admitted to the hospital, I was soon told I would need a cesarean due to my son going into "distress." I planned to have a natural birth, but here I was receiving an epidural (fentanyl!) and being cut open and tugged at from within. I was so detached from my own body. My baby was taken from the room and I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits and pleasure of skin-to-skin bonding, our 'golden hour' to breastfeed peacefully. I suffered from postpartum depression and learned to bury and forget the experience because I figured that's just how it was. It wasn't until years later that it came up for me and was a catalyst for many positive changes in my life. I was a few years into healing work with indigenous medicines and in one of my own ceremonies, I received a calling to bring ceremony back to birth, along with visions of burying a placenta at a sacred tree. I began researching traditional Mexican birth work to discover that this was in fact an indigenous tradition. I dedicated myself to the journey of birth work. I obtained training in many facets of holistic birth work and traditional, Mexican birth work, including herbalism to support birth and postpartum, womb healing, rebozo work, techniques for comfort and pain management as well as repositioning breech babies, lactation support, craniosacral therapy, cerrada de caderas (traditional closing ceremony), and the list continues to grow. I have been studying safe use of psychedelics during pregnancy and birth. As a traditional, certified holistic birth and postpartum doula, my primary role is to provide emotional, physical, and informational support to you during pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and beyond. I believe birth work is sacred and magical. Most importantly, I'm passionate about incorporating traditional practices into my work, which means I can also draw on indigenous knowledge and rituals to enhance and support your desired birthing experience. Together, we'll navigate this journey, ensuring you feel empowered and well-supported throughout.
Cristal was absolutely essential to my uncomplicated delivery of my child. Her warmth and knowledge gave me the confidence and peace to go within myself and have an unmedicated delivery in the hospital. Being able to text her with any questions during and before early labor was incredibly comforting and helpful. Cristal was also a tremendous support for my mom and husband in the hospital, making the whole experience more personalized and less stressful. She provided them with the confidence and reassurance they needed, creating a calm and supportive environment for all of us. At the end of my quarentena, Cristal performed my cerada de caderas ceremony, which was beautiful and just the pampering I needed. This ceremony helped me reconnect with my roots and heal from my previous two birthing experiences. Cristal's support, both during and after delivery, was invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for her presence during this important time in my life. Thank you, Cristal, for everything you've done for me and my family!

Hiring an overnight doula from Peaceful Passages was one of the best decisions I made for my postpartum recovery. Not only did my doula lovingly care for me and my newborn, she went above and beyond—prepping nourishing meals, providing breastfeeding support, organizing the baby’s nursery, and even helping with my twin toddlers so I could rest. Her calm, professional presence made my healing after a c-section so much easier. I was especially impressed by how seamless everything was—she was professionally dressed, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. On top of that, Peaceful Passages accepted my Carrot insurance and handled all the billing with ease, which lifted such a burden off my shoulders. Hello! I'm Kim I am a full service birth and postpartum Doula and a member of DONA. I recognize the magical, miraculous wonders of pregnancy and childbirth and offer unconditional, judgement free support for all families. I love to share my knowledge and passionate enthusiasm with expectant families and offer confident, continuity of care to ensure you have a positive birth experience, in alignment with your birth preferences. I live in San Francisco and have a lot of experience at UCSF, CPMC and the Kaiser Network. I have also supported many births on the Peninsula at Mills, Sequoia, Kaiser RWC and Stanford.
My partner and I loved working with Kim! Our sessions with her pre-birth were very valuable and informative. Even though we originally prepared for a vaginal birth, I ended up with a scheduled c-section due to the positioning of my twins. Kim helped us navigate the conversations with my doctor so that we were asking the right questions and felt comfortable with our decision. During the operation, she provided much needed emotional support and afterwards, made sure my partner also had skin to skin with both babies. I ended up with a very positive birth experience even though it didn’t go as originally planned. I would highly recommend having Kim as your doula!

Hi! My name is Sophie and I'm a Birth and Postpartum Doula in Los Angeles. I am a Dona-trained certified birth doula, Trained Hypnobabies® Hypno-Doula, certified ayurvedic postpartum doula, and trained newborn care specialist in the LA area. I believe that every woman and mother deserves the support she wants and needs however that may look. I have over 12 years of experience in childcare in Switzerland and the U.S., and serve clients and English and German. I have focused my work in early childhood, and over five years specifically in newborn care and as a doula. I have always been drawn to holistic healing and the power of the human mind and body. I love cooking anything from pasta to kitchari, believe in the healing power of meditation and breath work and value a balanced approach of traditional and alternative medicine. My goal is to make you feel safe and deeply empowered as a parent.
My husband and I are so happy with Sophie. She’s an excellent doula, a wonderful person, and we consider her part of our family. We are first time parents and she has such a steady, comforting, kind presence that’s been crucial to helping us get through some tough days. We (and our dog, she loves Sophie) are always glad to see Sophie walk through the door. Sophie has also helped me with my breastfeeding journey - honestly, it’s not something that I’ve enjoyed overall, and she’s helped me clarify why I’m doing it and what can be done to make it easier. I’m still pumping and wouldn’t have made it this far without her. Sophie is also super thorough and documents in detail how each night goes with our daughter. I’ve changed up my daughter’s feeding routine several times with different supplements and breastmilk/formula combinations based on her gas and fussiness. Sophie is flexible and always willing to try a new routine, offering her thoughts based on what she sees at night, and is patient with me every time I want to mix it up :). In sum, we love Sophie and trust her completely with our daughter. I'm now pregnant with my second, and am obviously using Sophie as part of our dream team once again!

My name is Rebecca Garcia and I am thrilled you are seeking out a Doula for your journey. I have a strong energetic pull towards this life changing work, and I am so honored to be pursuing my passion as a birth worker. I love all things birth and feel that my strongest assets are listening, empathy, providing resources and cooking homemade meals for others. I tell all my clients, if there is a birth I am there. With all the stigma and negative depictions in the media surrounding birth, I want to ensure that my clients feel secure in all their decisions without any judgments. This Is Your Body, Your Birth & Only You Get To Make The Decisions That Work Best For You & Your Baby. I have two little wildlings of my own; ages 4 and 6. I had doulas for both births and feel as though they made my birthing journey undeniably memorable. They feed me, hit pressure points during labor, loved me, educated me and most importantly encouraged me to find my voice and strength. These are the experiences I wish to provide to my future clients. I have experience in homebirths, birth centers & hospital settings. I understand that ones birthing journey is a sacred space, and wish to only support and offer any resources that may help aid in this time. If you are interested or just want to connect and talk anything birth, postpartum or baby please feel free to reach out. I am located in San Francisco and I am extending my services throughout the surrounding Bay Area. Virtual Options Also Provided
After my second was born, I had Rebecca as my night doula for 7 weeks and I can’t recommend her enough! I appreciated her compassion, attentive listening, and helpful tips on everything from breastfeeding to cradle cap. She really took care of me and the baby so I could rest and recover during that delicate postpartum period - providing me with encouragement and nourishment, and enabling me to appreciate the newborn phase!

I have always been fascinated and humbled by the birthing process since working at a Maternity Hospital in Nepal many years ago, when I was a medical student in the UK. It revealed to me how essential compassionate support is during this rite of passage. My passion for women's health and childbirth has never waned, and I come with a deep knowledge of the process from working as a family doctor in the UK, then birthing and bringing up my own three children here in the US. I am privileged to work as a birth doula, an advocate in this space, supporting with empathy and calm, helping women to trust their bodies and to achieve a positive birth experience. I help women to know their own body and its amazing capabilities, to trust it, and, in doing so, to own their birth.
Having known and worked with Harriet for 30 years I have seen firsthand how calm, patient, and dedicated she is. That, combined with a wealth of experience and knowledge, shape her into an invaluable support to have by your side. She’s always completely committed to the people she supports and cares for and I would have no hesitation in having her as my doula. I wish I had.

Well Mama Birth Services was born from my deep desire to create a space where every woman feels seen, heard, and supported throughout her birthing journey. Rooted in a holistic approach to birth, I honor both the physical and emotional experiences, believing that when women are treated with care, respect, and compassion during pregnancy, they birth with strength and grace. Inspired by the legacy of the women in my family who taught me to trust myself, my body, and the sacred process of birth, their wisdom is at the heart of everything I do as a doula. Birth can be unpredictable and raw, but I truly believe YOU. CAN. DO. THIS. Every woman has the innate power to navigate this transformative journey, and my role as your doula is to help you tap into that strength. I am here to stand by your side as you surrender to the experience of birth and trust in your own power. Whether supporting the full spectrum of maternal health—including infant loss, miscarriage, and beyond—being a doula is my lifelong passion.
Wendy was an incredible support throughout my home birth journey. Her prenatal guidance was invaluable—she took the time to educate me, answer all my questions, and help me feel truly prepared. Our conversations gave me so much confidence, and she always made me feel heard and supported. During labor, her calming presence and reassuring words kept me grounded. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula to walk this path with me. If you're planning a home birth, I highly recommend Wendy!

As a full spectrum birth-keeper, sexual/reproductive & lactation educator, and womb-space ceremonialist, I hold space for you to have continuous, high quality support that is infused with culturally responsive care, and embedded within a framework of advocacy. As such, I provide physical, emotional, and educational support and guidance to all birthing people, their partners, their families, and communities across the lifespan, reproductive landscape, and for all reproductive circumstances and outcomes. Earthseed Birthwork praxis is steeped in the belief that within the hallowed grounds of your wholeness – your lived experiences and unique socio-cultural contexts, your dreams, and your life journey, there is an opportunity for YOUR divinely aligned birth journey to come forth. I specialize in serving as guide, helping you investigate and get curious about, cultivate, and then traverse your own birth ceremony, the complex and oftentimes daunting medical system's model of care, and matrescence – the wholeness (physically, psychologically, and socially) of becoming a mother/parent…all while centering the sacred and traditional practices that have safely held birthing people for time immemorial. Bearing witness to, being deeply present for, and reflecting your own innate power to call forth and touch into the dance of your intuition, are my gifts. Working with me is intended to be more than a mere hand-holding, it is meant to be a full person witnessing, and the sanctuary of safe space to support the expansion of your capacity to be present with all that arises on your journey. I believe all births are immeasurably transformative...birth shape- shifts us into whatever next iteration this life is calling forth for us. When allowed, birth may expose you to rapturous wonder, deep discomfort, indescribable joy, and the instinctive knowing that you will forever physically, emotionally, and spiritually be changed. Care Setting I meet people where they are, and not where I may perceive they ‘should’ be…literally and figuratively. I hold and offer care within in-person spaces, homes, virtually, office, and outside underneath the sky’s blanket.
We give Shelby the highest recommendation. She supported our birth journey in so many critical ways, through her presence, knowledge and constant encouragement. She is very personable and answered all of our questions. We especially appreciated the way she could explain why the clinical setting would prefer or encourage particular interventions, while also letting us know about all of the options available and helping us to make informed decisions along the way. She empowered us. When it mattered most, during labor and delivery, Shelby was there, with the right presence, words and encouragement. She helped our baby come into the world. We hope other parents have this positive experience of a doula, like Shelby gave us.

Hi There! I’m Felicia Arevalo – Doula, Welcoming a new life into the world is one of the most beautiful and transformative experiences a woman can go through—but it can also be one of the most vulnerable. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to walk alongside mothers during this tender time, offering not just support, but presence, care, and genuine love. As a mom of four myself, I know firsthand how deeply overwhelming those early postpartum days can be. Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, every journey is different—and every mother deserves to feel seen, heard, and nurtured. My heart is rooted in postpartum care. It’s where I feel called to serve the most—helping moms rest, recover, bond with their babies, and truly feel held as they find their new rhythm. I believe no one should have to walk this part of the journey alone. I serve with my whole heart in any way I can—whether it’s holding space, helping with baby care, providing resources, or just being a comforting presence in the quiet moments. If you’re expecting, in the thick of postpartum, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here for you. Let’s walk this journey together. Can't wait to hear from you!
Felicia was our post partum doula and what a lifesaver she was!! We have twin boys and post partum was not easy. Felicia showed up like Mary Poppins, willing to help in any way, she is knowledgeable about all things from mommy post partum stuff to the baby stuff you didn't know you needed to know. Further more, she is like a baby whisper-our boys instantly took to her and I never had to worry when my boys were being taken care of by Felicia! I literally sighed in review each time Felicia came over!! Oh ya-her lactation cookies are super yummy and worked wonders on my milk supply too!! I highly recommend Felicia for any birthing and doula assistance you may need(pre, birth +post)!
