Welcome to Transcend With Birth. My name is Dessirá and I am a mother, daughter and ocean lover who has always had a deep love for connection and supporting others in intimate spaces. As a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and Intimacy Coach, I specialize in providing personalized support and guidance for mothers and families throughout the transitions of pre-conception, birth, and the first 40 days of the postpartum journey. My mission is to create a restful, nourishing space where mothers can connect back to their womb wisdom and intuition, finding confidence and empowerment through embodiment. I have more than 15 years of experience providing high-quality newborn care for families across the Sacramento area. My career began as a professional nanny and house manager, and has evolved into serving as a dedicated advocate for women through my work as a doula. Beyond direct care, I consult with families to create individualized whole care plans that support the healthy growth of the infant, the well-being of the family, and the overall harmony of the household. I have supported dozens of families through their most intimate transitions, helping them navigate everything from birth preferences to early parenthood. I hold a degree in Psychology, which deeply informs my approach to child development and family dynamics. I have a special interest in creating opportunities for children of all ages to grow, learn, and develop, and my extensive training allows me to support families in a way that truly allows them to flourish from birth onwards. My education and background in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) have provided me with unique tools to mentor parents and facilitate therapeutic communication and conflict resolution within the home. As a specialist in overnight care, I offer a "juicy cocoon of love and compassion" for families needing rest and recovery. During overnight shifts, I feed, comfort, and nourish the baby while providing light housekeeping to prepare the home for the new day, allowing parents to achieve optimal rest. I am a compassionate communicator focused on creating a connected team with the families I work with. My goal is to grow with your family, helping you find your desired rhythm so you can thrive in your parenting journey with ease, grace, and joy. I look forward to meeting you! There are people who do a job, and then there are people who change your life. Dessira is the latter. She entered our lives when our son was born premature and jaundiced. Dessira helped our baby gain weight and, at the same time, provided calm encouragement that helped us become confident parents. That gift is priceless, and I will never forget it. She returned to us when our son was two and stayed until he was six. During those years, she helped us build a nutrition and activity plan. This kept him energized, curious, and challenged--without empty calories or screens. The positive effects of this plan are too many to list here, but the best was his dramatically improved sleep schedule. My son had a mildly rocky transition from nursery school to a TK/K mix to a TK-only class. At the time, I worked 60-70-hour workweeks and cannot overstate the comfort of knowing my son was safe, stimulated, and thriving with Dessira during the day. At night, I was able to be fully present with my son because Dessira handled housework and other distractions that would have taken away from that precious time. She did this without being asked. I'm grateful to her because if she hadn't, I wouldn't have thought of it. Dessira is exceptional with infants and children of all ages. She is calm under pressure because she has a deep well of knowledge and experience to draw from. She prioritizes safety -- the safety of their bodies, of course, and also their minds and hearts. She values imagination and curiosity, and she brings genuine warmth, humor, and fun to every day. Dessira is unique in that she cares for the whole family as a single ecosystem, where the health of all depends on the health of each. She is a wonderful listener, and as she learns what matters to you -- as parents, as people -- she reflects that back to you with encouragement and practical creativity. When I said, "Well, ideally we'd do this, but that's probably unrealistic," her response was, "Maybe so -- but let's talk about it for a minute, just to see." Most of the time, with a bit of creativity and brainstorming, we made it happen. When we didn't, I felt supported and seen, which I found to be equally valuable. It makes a big difference in my life when a smart, energetic person is on my team. I'm better at my job, I'm a better partner, and I'm a better mom. If you are lucky enough to get Dessira in your corner, I am genuinely happy for you and your family to have the kind of support that will enrich your lives.

Hi, my name is Ashley. I was raised in the small town of Colusa, California. My husband and I welcomed our beautiful daughter in 2024. I am very passionate about everything relating to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I Believe that every mother should have the birth that they desire. Whether that be at a hospital, birth center and in the comfort of your own home, I want to help guide you, and support you in all of your decisions during this transformative time. I would love to connect, and would be honored to walk alongside you and your family during this sacred journey.

Recent review

I recently had the opportunity to work with Ashley Cresap for birth education, and I can't speak highly enough about the experience. From the very beginning, it was clear how deeply knowledgeable and passionate she is about childbirth education. What stood out to me the most was her ability to make complex and sometimes overwhelming topics feel accessible and empowering. She guided me through every stage-Pregnancy, labor, birth, and even postpartum-with clarity, compassion, and professionalism. Thanks to her support, I feel much more confident and prepared for my journey ahead. She created a safe and welcoming space for learning, and I never felt judged for asking questions or expressing concerns. If you're looking for someone who combines expert knowledge with genuine care, I highly recommend Ashley! It's a decision you won't regret!

I’m Hailey- a wife, mama to 3 babies, birth doula, and postpartum meal specialist. After an unpleasant hospital birth with my first, I spent months dreaming of becoming a doula. I had such a fire inside me to help other mom’s get the most out of their pregnancy and birth experience, but most of all, to guide them to follow their own intuition. With my nursing baby in tow, I trained with Sierra Childbirth Institute and kicked off my doula journey. Since then, I’ve been having babies of my own, balancing motherhood, and attending home and hospital births. Holding space for women to carry out their birth wishes and helping guide them to follow what truly matters most to them is what drives me in this work. I believe birth is transformative for mothers and babies, a truly sacred event in life that deserves nothing but love and respect the whole way. Connection for me as a doula is extremely important and I don’t take the honor of being in your birth space lightly. While I want to know your birth wishes and guide you through them, I also want to know you as a woman and connect to best serve you during your pregnancy and birth. I’m a lover of all things holistic. I love utilizing things like essential oils and natural herbs. In my personal time I love to work out, try new restaurants with my husband (we’re big foodies!), and bake. I love to garden but usually by August I’ve given up on all my plants! Empowering you in your birth choices as you define them is always my goal when working together. I trust you and your intuition, and that’s what ultimately guides me as a doula. I can’t wait to meet you and walk along side you! ❤️

I accept Medi-Cal, Tri-Care, All Kaiser Plans, All Health Net plans, Medi-cal Anthem and Partnership Health Plan insurance. I serve the areas of Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Auburn, Sacramento, and surrounding areas. I have knowledge in cultural sensitivity, premature birth, preemie care, lactation, and postpartum care. I have experience in high-risk pregnancies, enhanced pregnancies, and late in life/older pregnancies.

Recent review

I am so grateful I found Anita as my doula. She responded quickly to my inquiry through insurance, which meant a lot because I was trying to secure a doula as soon as possible and learn more about the process. From the beginning, she made me feel at ease, calm, and truly understood. She listened to what I wanted for my birth experience and respected my preferences. During labor, Anita was incredibly responsive—always quick to answer texts and calls—and she arrived at the hospital right on time. She was professional, supportive, and fully present throughout the entire process. I had a natural birth, and the pain was intense, but Anita made a huge difference. She used techniques like applying pressure, guiding me into helpful positions, and placing cold towels on my forehead and chest to keep me comfortable. Her support helped me get through one of the most challenging moments of my life. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend Anita to anyone looking for a caring, attentive, and skilled doula.

Working with Shelby was one of the greatest gifts during the birth of our first baby. I truly believe my labor would have been longer and far more overwhelming without her guidance, coaching, and calming presence. She supported not only me, but my husband too, and continued to care for us after birth through postpartum recovery and breastfeeding support. Her guidance helped us feel less alone and more confident in such a life-changing season. We are so grateful for Shelby and the difference she made for our family. She will always be a special part of our story. — Erica, Ilan & Baby Ben 💙

My goal is to be a calm and steady presence for mothers to feel nurtured, supported, and cared for while they are getting to know their new baby and settling into a new way of life. With a master's degree in clinical nutrition, I focus on creating warm, nourishing meals, snacks, and teas that support healing and recovery during the fourth trimester. I offer in-home meal preparation tailored to postpartum healing, newborn guidance, breastfeeding support, emotional and informational support, and any household support needed to ensure you are able to rest and enjoy your new baby. As a mother of two little boys, I understand how vulnerable and transformative the postpartum season can be— because I've lived it. Even when surrounded by a loving partner, family, and friends, this time can still feel overwhelming and lonely. Through my own journey into motherhood, I feel deeply called to support women as they navigate this new season of life.

Recent review

Having Bridget’s support during my postpartum period was such a blessing for our family. I had a recently turned 2-year-old and a newborn who was extremely colicky, and I was feeling completely overwhelmed trying to manage everything physically and emotionally. Bridget stepped in and helped in so many practical ways that made such a huge difference in my daily life. She helped with household tasks like meal prep, laundry, and caring for the baby so I could shower or get a short nap when I desperately needed rest. She also took the time to help research dairy-free meals and snacks since I needed to eliminate dairy while nursing my baby, which was incredibly helpful during such an exhausting season. She always made sure I had a full water cup as well, which was so important while nursing and one less thing for me to think about during the day. Beyond the practical help, Bridget provided so much emotional and mental support. She regularly checked in on me, asked how I was really doing, and created a safe space where I could honestly share how difficult things felt without ever feeling judged. Her compassion, encouragement, and calm presence made me feel supported during one of the hardest seasons of motherhood. I highly recommend Bridget to any family looking for a postpartum doula. Her support was truly invaluable, and I am so grateful for the care she gave our family.

Morgan Gray

Morgan Gray

Hi there! My name is Morgan and I am a birth and postpartum doula in Sacramento, CA. I am currently working towards my Maternal Support Practitioner certification through Bebo Mia. I’ve always been fascinated by birth, but after experiencing an unplanned cesarean with my first son, then achieving a VBAC with my second son, my fascination transformed into a passion. Everyone’s birth is different and unpredictable. My dream, in the chaos and beauty of birth, is to make sure all birthers feel safe, supported, and nurtured, both during labor and in the postpartum period. Being there to support one of the most transformational and emotional moments of life is truly such an honor. As I’m working towards my certification and need a specific amount of hours/births attended in order to reach that goal, I’m more than happy to work with sliding scale. Currently, I am unable to accept insurance but hope to in the future! When I’m not absorbing everything I can about pregnancy, birth, and beyond, you can usually find me trying to sneak in a few chapters of a romantasy novel, playing monster trucks with my boys, or laughing with loved ones.

Recent review

Morgan has been absolutely amazing for our family. As a postpartum mom, one of my biggest fears was returning to work and leaving my son, Cruz, in someone else’s care. Having Morgan has eased that transition more than I can express. She is loving, attentive, and genuinely caring. I have full confidence in her — she truly understands babies and what they need. Her knowledge, instincts, and calm presence give me complete peace of mind every day. Cruz absolutely adores her, and it’s clear she cares for him as if he were her own. Morgan is always on time (often even early), dependable, and consistently shows up with a positive attitude and a smile. Beyond caring for Cruz, she thoughtfully helps with tasks around the house, which has been such a blessing during this season of life. Postpartum can be a difficult and emotional time, especially adjusting to life as a mom of two. Morgan has supported me through this transition more than she probably realizes. We are so grateful to have her, and any family would be incredibly lucky to work with her.

Bailey was my doula through Blooming Families! She was wonderful throughout my pregnancy and birth. I was happily surprised that her services were covered by my insurance. Bailey helped me know what to expect for birth and helped me made educated decisions in regard to my birth plan. She attended my birth (despite it begins 3.5 weeks early). Throughout my birth she helped advocate for my wishes and encouraged my husband in ways he could best support me! She also checked in with me postpartum. I am so grateful for her support and recommend her services, especially for first time moms!

Tunisha became my doula when I was 7 months pregnant. Throughout my journey, we had zoom meetings and communicated daily. Tunisha always checked in on me and shared informative resources for my pregnancy. Fast forward to the actual day of giving birth. Tunisha came to the hospital with such positive energy and calmness. She guided me through every contraction by reminding me to focus on my breathing and by pressing on my hips and back (this got me through the pain). During the time of pushing, she spoke out with encouragement and I held on to her voice. She made me believe in my body and what my body was capable of doing. She was my advocate and my rock. Tunisha asked me if I wanted to labor and push in all the different types of positions; I did and I finally found a comfortable position. I gave birth unmedicated and this was an amazing experience. I always felt safe and secure with Tunisha by my side. I am forever grateful for the support of Tunisha.

— melody saechao, review of Tunisha Grant June 2026

I had a positive experience working with my doula during my pregnancy and birth. She was supportive, easy to communicate with, and available to answer questions as they came up. Although my birth ultimately ended in a scheduled C-section and she was not permitted in the operating room, her support before the procedure and afterward was appreciated. She helped me feel more prepared for delivery and provided reassurance during a time that can feel overwhelming. I appreciated having an additional source of support throughout the process and would recommend her to families looking for guidance and encouragement during pregnancy and birth.

— Julie, review of Tunisha Grant June 2026

Working with Tunisha was hands-down the best decision we made during our pregnancy. From the very first meeting, her warm, calming energy made me feel entirely supported and empowered. I was able to have the natural birth that I wanted. If you are considering hiring a doula, go with Tunisha you will be so glad you did!
