About Michi

Hello, my name is Michi Arguedas and I am a certified full spectrum doula and traditional postpartum healing practitioner. I offer prenatal education, labor & birth support, post birth/ post loss healing care, and virtual consulting services. I seek to foster a safe and welcoming environment for our future generations and for the birthing people and families helping to cultivate new life. As a birthing person, you carry the instinctual wisdom and ability to have an empowering and healing birth and postpartum experience, and I am here to contribute grounding, consistent, and nurturing care that supports you in that process. I specialize in (but am not limited to) supporting families who identify as queer, trans, multi-cultural, mixed-race, immigrant, single parent, and/or polyamorous.

Birth & Postpartum Doula packages and pricing

Labor and Birth Support Package

This package includes 2 prenatal visits + on-call labor and birth support + 2 postpartum healing sessions with a traditional hip sealing ceremony as the final visit. Prenatals cover rebozo techniques + comfort measures for labor, birth plan preparation, stages of labor, natural and clinical stimulation and relief education and practice, coaching for pushing and birth, support around worries and fears, newborn care and breastfeeding education, herbal recommendations and more! (2-3hrs each) On-call support begins at 38 weeks and continues until you birth. You will receive continuous companionship and support through your labor at home, birth center, and or hospital; presence during birth and first couple of hours postpartum until all parties are stable and comfortable; support with postpartum transition, newborn care, and latching; optional photography of any stage of the process with your device of choice First postpartum visit is scheduled within the first week of giving birth. It can include space for processing birth; support with newborn care, latching and breastfeeding; herbal recommendations; abdominal massage; and belly wrapping with education for partner to learn how to re-wrap (2hr) Final postpartum session will be the Traditional Hip Sealing Ceremony/ Cerrada de Caderas scheduled around 6 weeks postpartum. It includes an herbal bath or steam with guided meditation, energetic cleansing, belly and body massage, & wrapping, rocking, and sealing with rebozos (2.5-3hrs)

Prenatal Preparation and Postpartum Healing Package

This package includes 2 prenatal visits + 4-6 postpartum healing sessions within the first eight weeks, with a traditional hip sealing ceremony as the final visit. Prenatals cover rebozo techniques + comfort measures for labor, birth plan preparation, stages of labor, natural and clinical stimulation and relief education and practice, coaching for pushing and birth, support around worries and fears, newborn care and breastfeeding education, and more! (2-3hrs each) First postpartum visit includes space for processing birth, support with newborn care, latching and breastfeeding, abdominal massage, and belly wrapping with education for partner (2hr) Two – Four follow up healing sessions will be tailored to your particular healing needs. Each one includes a check-in, support for any postpartum questions/concerns arising, body and abdominal massage. Fire cupping, herbal baths, herbal perineum steams, and energetic cleansings will also be incorporated based on what your body, mind, and spirit are needing each week (2 hr) Final session will be the Traditional Hip Sealing Ceremony/ Cerrada de Caderas that includes an herbal bath or steam, energetic cleansing, belly and body massage, & wrapping rocking and sealing with rebozos (2.5-3hrs)

What to expect

I offer prenatal education, labor & birth support, post birth/ post loss healing care, virtual consulting services, and in-home healing sessions. Healing services including massage, belly wrapping, fire cupping, energetic cleansing, herbal baths, perineum steams, sound baths, and hip sealing ceremonies. Healing sessions can be received by anyone of any gender at any time and are not limited to folks who are pregnant or postpartum. I also recommend healing sessions for folks who are processing the death of a loved one, the end of an important relationship, a chronic or acute dis-ease, and any big life transition.
