About me

I became a birth and postpartum doula after completing my training through Birthing Project USA in 2020. I began my doula business to address and help circumvent the racial disparities African American women and other women of color face in the medical industry. I loves educating all mothers to inspire positive prenatal experiences and to better equip them for labor, delivery and postpartum. It brings me joy to support moms during such a special and intimate time. I love encouraging them as they learn and grow more confident on their journey to childbirth.

•2 prenatal visits starting at 20 weeks •Monthly check-ins •Birth option assistance •Labor + delivery preparation •On call at 37 weeks •Full labor and birth support •Breastfeeding & postpartum support 1 hour after birth •6 hours postpartum support within first 2 weeks after delivery (2 hour increments) •Continued support via phone, text and/or Zoom up to 4 weeks postpartum

Frequently asked questions

What is your philosophy about pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum?

To equip expectant mothers educationally, emotionally, mentally and spiritually so they have the knowledge and the confidence to trust their own instincts.

How many clients do you support a month?

Currently, I take 2 clients per month with due dates approximately 2 weeks apart. No more than 3 if clients due dates are around the beginning, middle and end of the month. The spacing is to ensure I am present at each birth.

What happens if you can’t make it to my birth?

In the rare case that I am unable to attend a birth, my certified backup doula will be present to offer support in my place.

How do you feel about an epidural?

I support the idea that the mother or birthing person allow their body to do as it was naturally designed to do. However, I will support whatever decision is made and will educate the mother/birthing person about that decision so they are fully aware of the pros and cons.
