Hi, I’m Melanie Powell—certified doula, childbirth educator, author of From Fear to First Cry, and the founder of both Little Flower Birth Services and the non-profit Under His Wings Collective. As a mother myself, I know firsthand that bringing a child into the world is one of the most profound, transformative journeys you will ever take. But I also know it can bring up deep questions, past fears, and medical anxieties. That is why my life’s work is dedicated to walking beside women and their partners, ensuring you never have to navigate the medical landscape alone. Through Little Flower Birth Services, my practice is rooted in three core pillars: Advocacy to help your partner step into their role as your protector, Sanctuary to guard your peace with a protective "Baby Bubble," and Autonomy to honor your God-given intuition through a trauma-informed framework. Whether I'm teaching evidence-based physiological birth classes, coaching partners in our signature advocacy workshops, or offering quiet, steadfast support in the delivery room, my goal is to transform your anxieties into your greatest strengths. Beyond my private practice, my heart for community led me to establish Under His Wings Collective—a non-profit initiative dedicated to expanding access to sliding-scale and free childbirth education, alongside trauma-informed virtual doula support (such as our Virtual Bloom Package) for Medicaid-eligible, low-income, and high-anxiety mothers who deserve dedicated care regardless of circumstance. When I’m not supporting families across the DFW Metroplex, leading virtual education cohorts, or advocating through the collective, you can usually find me baking something nourishing for loved ones or cherishing quiet moments with my daughter. You deserve to enter your birth room feeling strong, informed, and deeply supported. I would be honored to walk this sacred journey with you.

What made us choose Melanie as our birth doula for our first birth experience was the fact that she was Catholic and she offered a lot in her birth package. She was extremely helpful all throughout my pregnancy, especially on the day of my delivery. She helped us map out a birth plan and she did a great job educating us. During my labor, Melanie coached me through exercises she prepped us with to deal with the contractions. After I got my epidural, I was still experiencing pain on my right side. Melanie spent hours lightly shaking the area to get my daughter to move. It really helped me deal with the pain. She also helped the nurse with getting my daughter to turn face down to prepare for birth. Melanie offered me the comfort and support I needed in the last hours of my labor. Because of her support, my husband was able to get some extra sleep so he could be present with me and available post-birth. I would strongly recommend Melanie as a doula.

I loved having Annie as my doula! As a first time mom, I had a lot of questions regarding my health and how to prepare for labor and delivery. Annie took her time to meet with me multiple times, and would make herself available to me for phone calls for random questions I had. She really gave me peace of mind having someone to talk to that is experienced in pregnancy and birth. I also had gestational diabetes and lots of pelvic pain during my pregnancy, and Annie's knowledge in physical training helped me so much to know what exercises to do for both conditions. She met with my husband and I to prepare us for labor, and coach him on what he could do to alleviate my pain. During labor and delivery she was readily available and now I have a beautiful healthy baby girl!

Hello, I'm Cierria Leyazhié or you may call me Apache, and I believe birth is one of God’s most beautiful and sacred calls. My passion is supporting mothers not just through the physical act of labor, but through the profound spiritual and energetic transformation it demands. My approach is built on three distinct pillars: Pillar 1: Christ-Centered Care & Hypnobirthing: I equip you with Scriptural affirmations, prayerful grounding techniques, and Christian Hypnobirthing methods—helping you replace fear and tension with profound relaxation and faith, working toward a gentler, less painful birth experience. Pillar 2: Ayurvedic Wisdom & Doula Training: My commitment to holistic health is backed by rigorous education from the Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS), where I earned certifications as an Ayurvedic Wellness Educator and Ayurvedic Health Practitioner. I then completed my full-spectrum doula training with the Sankofa Birthing Collective. I guide mothers toward balanced health, focusing heavily on Vata-pacifying principles—the ancient practice of using warmth, nourishment, and deep rest for true physical and nervous system recovery during the crucial 42-day postpartum period. Pillar 3: Advanced Lactation & Education: As a Certified Lactation Educator who is actively working to complete requirements to become an IBCLC, I provide high-level, up-to-date, evidence-based childbirth and feeding education, ensuring you have the practical tools and specialized knowledge necessary for an empowered birth and a successful breastfeeding start. Whether through Ayurvedic food guidance, gentle herbal recommendations, or prayerful presence, I am here to help you experience a birth that is peaceful, powerful, and deeply honoring of your body and your faith. A Holistic Approach to Your Fourth Trimester Whether it is through preparing Ayurvedic "warm-natured" meals, providing gentle herbal recommendations, or offering a prayerful presence, I am here to ensure your postpartum period is a time of deep rest rather than depletion. I am dedicated to helping you experience a birth and recovery that is peaceful, powerful, and deeply honoring of your body and your faith.

This was my third pregnancy/birth but my first time having a doula and I could not imagine a better person for the job! I enjoy how easy it was to work with Cierria on not only what I'd desire to have for pregnancy but also the assurance if things went differently than planned. She keeps it realistic while also respecting your choices and is a powerhouse in advocating for her clients while striving to encourage working in tandem with your doctor/care team, not against them. It was very much appreciated when I was feeling vulnerable. This time around postpartum has been way easier to adjust too as well as I've had breastfeeding support, dietary recommendations based on my unique recovery and goals, tips for physical recovery and she's always left room to adjust any of this and is a great chatter. Sometimes you just want to vent with no actual goal and she's all for it. I've had such a blast with the whole experience that a fourth child might be possible with her as my doula again haha!

As a first-time mother, I faced a challenging journey—from navigating early trimester symptoms to the uncertainty of labor and delivery. I had the privilege of connecting with a doula, and I was truly honored to have Breana by my side throughout every stage of my pregnancy. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience with Ali. From the very beginning of my pregnancy, she was an incredible source of support, guidance, and reassurance. She always offered thoughtful advice and helped us understand our options, while never making us feel like there was a “right” way to do things. She respected our choices and allowed us to lead the way throughout the entire process. What stood out most to me was how genuinely she listened. I always felt heard, supported, and completely free of judgment. Pregnancy and birth can bring so many emotions and stressful moments, and she has such a calm, reassuring presence. She communicates clearly and effectively, even when things feel overwhelming, and always seems to know when to offer guidance and when simply to be there and listen. She was consistently available when we needed her, and knowing we had someone so caring, knowledgeable, and dependable in our corner gave me tremendous peace of mind. Her support made such a meaningful difference throughout my pregnancy and birth experience. I am incredibly grateful that she was part of this journey with us and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any expecting mother or family looking for someone who will truly listen, support, advocate, and walk alongside them every step of the way. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough!

Hello Everyone! My name is Donna Moragne-Hanson. I'm a licensed midwife in Los Angeles, CA providing well-woman, pre-conception, prenatal/postpartum midwifery care, childbirth education, lactation support, and doula support from the privacy of my in-home birthing studio. Here you & your family are provided with everything you need for a safe, comfortable and peaceful birth. Receive up to 24 Golden Hours of "Mothering the Mother" & newborn postpartum care as you enjoy 3 homemade meals prepared to restore, center and balance your body before journeying home with your new babe. I offer specialty services such as yoni steams, healing herbal baths, add-on postpartum midwifery care packages and "Closing of the Bones" ceremony which brings spiritual closure to your birth. For me, establishing trust with my client is the most important and fundamental. My practice is built on nurturing trust and learning to let go of the things we allow to interfere with trust. I want to encourage trusting in yourself; trusting in your body (and the natural process of giving birth); trusting in your baby (and their own divinely written birth story); trusting in humanity (and the world your baby is born into) and trusting in our partnership, as client and midwife. I believe, "when a woman is heard, she is seen; when she is seen, she has a voice"; and as her midwife I am compelled to encourage her to honor that voice; her voice. In this way I believe I am blessed with an opportunity to fulfill my role as supporter, facilitator, educator and client advocate; the ultimate calling of a midwife. For me, describing the process of birth is like trying to describe a miracle; and walking with a woman as she becomes a mother is even more profound…I am beyond words. Donna, LM, CPM

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Angela as our doula because our birth experience (including all the prenatal touch points and postpartum) would not have been the same or as positive without her as we recently welcomed our baby boy. We immediately hit it off after facetiming (we found Angela via Doula Match) - Angela exudes such a calming and grounding presence and is the perfect balance of bringing evidence based knowledge/approaches and positivity. She was super flexible and catered to our needs and wants throughout it all. We had an induction birth and leading up to it, Angela provided so many helpful resources (e.g. referrals, videos, articles etc) to help me prepare and supplemented any gaps I felt I had with my OB. During my labor, Angela had ALL the tricks and tools handy to help me get through the physical and mental pain and was right by our side throughout it all providing words of encouragement and also fit in perfectly with our care team (e.g. getting me into different positions, advocating for me to have time to labor down before pushing). It was such a mental relief walking into the induction knowing she was going to be there to support me and my husband as it was my first time delivering. I really can't think of a single negative or constructive thing to say about Angela - she was the absolute best decision and a small part of me wishes I was still pregnant to be working with her ha! Angela is worth every penny as a doula and you will walk away with a friend as well. Can't recommend her enough! THANK YOU ANGELA!!

I had a wonderful experience with Tremaine. Before hiring her I was very nervous and she helped me prepare for labor mentality, emotionally and physically. My hospital birth was great all thanks to her. She really helped me a lot during labor by using aromatherapy, massage, positive affirmation, and guiding me on movements to help me cope with contractions. After labor she continued checking on me and gave me great advice that helped me heal. I recommend Tremaine because she has very caring, helpful and knowledgeable.

I honestly can't recommend Arielle enough!! She always made me feel like my birth was about me and what I wanted, never what anyone else thought it should look like. She took the time to explain my options and answer every question and gave me the confidence to advocate for myself that I really needed lol. There were a few times my doctors recommended things that I probably would have just gone along with because I didn't know I had other options or that it was okay to ask more questions. Having her there to be able to call and txt whenever made such a difference. She helped me understand my choices without ever telling me what to do, so every decision still felt like it was mine. Because of her I was able to have the quick unmedicated birth that my doctor said probably wasn't going to happen!! She always met me where I was, worked at my pace, and supported me every step of the way! I'm so grateful she was part of my birth my experience would have not been the same without her! She even provided support for my husband in the delivery room and told him to hold my leg which in the moment he did not want to do and now it's a highlight for him hes so grateful she was there too! Amazing personality you'll want to be best friends with her no problem!! She is an PHENOMENAL mama herself too!

October 2026

My experience with Jade as my doula has been amazing, and I’m so grateful to have had her be a part of my journey into motherhood. Before giving birth, Jade took the time to educate me on what to expect during labor and delivery and taught me about newborn care. As a first time mom, this was really helpful and made me feel more prepared for what was ahead. When it was time to give birth, Jade was truly amazing. She didn’t hesitate to take initiative in the labor room, and whatever I needed, she was right there. Whether it was a cold cloth, my lip gloss, a fan, or water, she was always attentive and making sure I was as comfortable as possible. She was right alongside my partner, helping hold my legs while coaching and encouraging me throughout the entire process. Having someone so attentive and helpful during such an intense and vulnerable moment in my life meant so much to me. She also recorded and captured my birth experience, which is something I will always be grateful for. Being able to look back on those memories and see the moment I brought my son into the world is truly priceless. Her support didn’t stop after I had my son. Her postpartum visits have been great, and I really appreciate the care and support she continues to give me as I adjust to being a new mom. She has also provided thoughtful gifts for both my postpartum recovery and my baby, which I truly appreciate. Those gestures mean a lot and show how thoughtful and caring she is toward both moms and their little ones. I would definitely recommend Jade to other moms, especially first time moms. She has been there for me before, during, and after birth, and I’m truly thankful to have had her by my side during such a special time in my life. She made me feel cared for and supported, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to be part of my birth experience. ??

My experience with Zah was expansive and grounding. During our zoom gatherings I learned to hold space for myself, to share deeply, to allow myself to be seen in my authentic expression, and to show up with whatever elements are currently moving through my ecosystem. I cherish these lessons and carry them within my heart. Thank you, Zah.
