Hello Everyone! My name is Donna Moragne-Hanson. I'm a licensed midwife in Los Angeles, CA providing well-woman, pre-conception, prenatal/postpartum midwifery care, childbirth education, lactation support, and doula support from the privacy of my in-home birthing studio. Here you & your family are provided with everything you need for a safe, comfortable and peaceful birth. Receive up to 24 Golden Hours of "Mothering the Mother" & newborn postpartum care as you enjoy 3 homemade meals prepared to restore, center and balance your body before journeying home with your new babe. I offer specialty services such as yoni steams, healing herbal baths, add-on postpartum midwifery care packages and "Closing of the Bones" ceremony which brings spiritual closure to your birth. For me, establishing trust with my client is the most important and fundamental. My practice is built on nurturing trust and learning to let go of the things we allow to interfere with trust. I want to encourage trusting in yourself; trusting in your body (and the natural process of giving birth); trusting in your baby (and their own divinely written birth story); trusting in humanity (and the world your baby is born into) and trusting in our partnership, as client and midwife. I believe, "when a woman is heard, she is seen; when she is seen, she has a voice"; and as her midwife I am compelled to encourage her to honor that voice; her voice. In this way I believe I am blessed with an opportunity to fulfill my role as supporter, facilitator, educator and client advocate; the ultimate calling of a midwife. Clients will receive complete prenatal care, labor and give birth in a newly renovated, private birthing studio in my home. Your stay includes 24 Golden Hours of continuous midwifery postpartum care where you will receive 3 homemade, organic, highly nutritious meals to restore/heal/balance the body. Confidence in breastfeeding is established as well as postpartum care for the mother and newborn.
Clients will receive complete prenatal care, labor and give birth in their own home where you will receive 4-6 hours of routine postpartum midwifery care for mother and newborn. Immediate skin-to-skin, delayed cord clamping and initiating breastfeeding early on will be practiced.
As a licensed midwife in California; I also provide doula care services allowing you to have the best of both worlds. My services include being called to your birth when you need support and continuing labor support through the initial hours of postpartum recovery. Whether you are having a home birth or a hospital birth, I will provide comprehensive and holistic doula care for you and your newborn.
As a licensed midwife in California, my services include tending to your postpartum needs by providing newborn education; breastfeeding support; newborn care & clinical assessments; maternal care & clinical assessments; mother and newborn vitals; and postpartum education for mother and the newborn. This includes up to 8 visits @ 2 hours each over a 6 week period.
This ceremonial service includes a: Herbal Yoni Steam, Herbal Bath, Full Body Massage and the Bone Closing. Please allow for a 3 hour visit.
Your yoni steam or herbal bath will include fresh/dried herbs gathered with your special and individual needs in mind. As you indulge take this time to meditate or pray. A 1 hour nap is recommended after your yoni steam. Please allow for a 2 hour visit for either service.
This is a 10 session, comprehensive childbirth education course designed to give intentional insight and in depth knowledge surrounding 2 very different birthing options; natural home birth and birth in the hospital setting. You will be extremely prepared, feel confident and empowered with a deep understanding of the natural birth process whatever birth setting you choose. Please allow 1-2 hours per session.
This service includes postpartum doula care for a period of 6 weeks following the birth of your baby. A total of 8 visits, up to 2 hours each, will involve helping mother with bathing/toileting, newborn bathing/dressing, light meal prep, light household cleaning, light newborn laundry, bed linen changing and tending to baby while mother naps.
