In addition to being a Certified Postpartum Doula of 18 years, I am also a Licensed Home Birth Midwife (licensed by the Medical Board of California) and Newborn Care Specialist. I am fully insured and Trustline Registry approved (CA background check) I am current with Neonatal resuscitation, infant and CPR certifications. I have over 18 years of experience providing postpartum doula support, with a large portion of my work focused specifically on overnight care for newborns and first-time parents including preemies, twins and triplets. My role during night shifts is to prioritize both infant safety and parental rest, handling all newborn care overnight (feeding support, soothing, diapering, settling, and monitoring), while also supporting parents in learning their baby’s cues and milestones. My goal is that parents wake feeling rested, reassured, and more confident each day.

Greetings! I am Edine, a certified and licensed midwife and lactation consultant. My midwifery philosophy emphasizes respect for the natural process of birth and the dignity of the mother and child, viewing pregnancy and birth as normal life events. My goal is to play a vital role in providing care for families in need, particularly in underserved areas where access to holistic care is limited. I respect and welcome healthcare rooted in traditional practices, beliefs, and values passed down through generations.

I entered the world of birth work in 2016, and have been focused on expanding my skill set to better support families ever since. I became licensed in California in 2023, and plan to continue pursuing a deeper knowledge of birth as I serve my community. I gave birth to my son in June of 2023, and am deeply thankful for the gift of motherhood and the ability to care for my child. After supporting so many families in bringing their little ones into the world, I am still in awe of the transformative power of birth. I hope that through my care, I can support and encourage more families to expand their hearts and perspectives as they welcome new souls into their lives. In addition to standard reproductive care, I am also passionate about offering whole-person care, which refers to healing a person’s body, mind, and spirit as a whole unit. I believe that through this perspective, I am able to offer a truly individualized experience which supports a person’s healing and growth on a deeper level. I also hold a deep trust and admiration for my own intuition, which I find is my greatest tool in finding better ways to show up for my clients. By listening to my own inner voice as a healer AND teaching my clients to do the same, I hope to provide a deeper and more complete level of care.

With over 20 years of experience in holistic birth, I’ve worked in Belgium, France, and the US, including hospitals, private practice, and Birthing Center. ​ My husband and I moved from France to Austin, Texas, in 2012 with our two eldest children, and our youngest son was born right here in Austin. Talk about a Texan welcome! I’m also a certified Haptotherapist, having received my certification from CIRDH in 2012. Haptonomy, widely used in Europe, helps parents-to-be function as partners in parenting before birth. Hello! I'm a midwife in Forest Grove, OR, a small town west of Portland. I work with a small, skilled and dedicated team, and we have a cute office where we do most appointments. I believe that every birth deserves to be held sacred, and it should be honored as a sacred event. I do my best to blend ancient midwifery wisdom and modern medical tools to keep Mom and Baby safe and healthy while still giving the birth the time and space it deserves to unfold in its own way. I believe in providing clients the information and supporting them in their decisions. I focus on trust and relationship. The greatest goal for me is not just a healthy birth, but also for the family to feel stronger and supported during their experience. Hi! I am a certified nurse midwife! I love providing women with un-rushed, gentle care. I focus on shared decision making and informed consent. We have 60 mins for new patient visits and 30 min for return patients- this is for both GYN and pregnancy visits. This extra time allows you to have all your questions and concerns addressed without feeling the pressure of an overly booked provider. I attend births at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and have a fabulous collaborating OBGYN for any patients with complications out of my scope of practice or those needing surgical intervention. I have a background in home birth and birth center birth where I practiced for 4 years- I give that same warm, friendly, present care in the hospital owned practice setting!

Hi, I’m Emma—founder of Solstice Birth Co, and a birth worker with over a decade of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My journey into this work began in a deeply personal way—witnessing birth as a child, I was struck by how powerful, raw, and transformative it was. That early experience stayed with me and ultimately led me down the path of midwifery. Years later, I went on to have my own home birth with my daughter in 2009—an experience that further rooted my belief in the body’s innate wisdom and the importance of feeling safe, supported, and truly seen during birth. I went on to train as a traditionally trained midwife (CPM, LM), working hands-on with families across California and building a strong clinical and intuitive foundation in the midwifery model of care—one that honors pregnancy and birth as physiologic, sacred, and deeply human experiences. At this time, I am no longer offering home birth midwifery care. Instead, I’ve shifted into a more integrative and supportive role—one that allows me to walk alongside women and families in a deeply personalized way through Solstice Birth Co.

Love In The Making Midwifery grew out of a love and passion for preserving labor and birth as the intimate and sacred experience that it was meant to be. I believe a safe and fulfilling birth experience starts long before the birth of the child. I provide preconception and prenatal nutrition, labor and birth prep and lactation support. Through each hour long prenatal I strive to ensure my clients leave my office healthier than when they arrived, filled with fresh knowledge and understanding of their bodies and the confidence to become their own health advocate.
