My philosophy is that every new parent deserves compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental support as they adjust to life with their baby. I provide calm, hands-on care tailored to each family’s culture, preferences, and individual needs. Rather than taking over, I work alongside parents, helping them build confidence in caring for their newborn while ensuring they have time to rest, recover, and feel supported. As a DONA-certified postpartum doula and certified breastfeeding specialist with a background in midwifery and a PhD in Community Nutrition, I combine practical experience with evidence-based guidance. I support families with newborn care, feeding and lactation, postpartum recovery, nutrition, and emotional reassurance. My goal is to create a peaceful environment where parents feel heard, empowered, and confident in making the choices that are right for their family.

I’m Jessica Hopp, Founder and CEO of CuraNatal Health. As a mother and perinatal provider, I built this practice with one clear mission: to make high-quality, insurance-covered support accessible to families during pregnancy and postpartum. I’m passionate about building strong provider teams, serving our community with integrity, and ensuring families never have to navigate this season alone.

In addition to being a Certified Postpartum Doula of 18 years, I am also a Licensed Home Birth Midwife (licensed by the Medical Board of California) and Newborn Care Specialist. I am fully insured and Trustline Registry approved (CA background check) I am current with Neonatal resuscitation, infant and CPR certifications. I have over 18 years of experience providing postpartum doula support, with a large portion of my work focused specifically on overnight care for newborns and first-time parents including preemies, twins and triplets. My role during night shifts is to prioritize both infant safety and parental rest, handling all newborn care overnight (feeding support, soothing, diapering, settling, and monitoring), while also supporting parents in learning their baby’s cues and milestones. My goal is that parents wake feeling rested, reassured, and more confident each day.

I entered the world of birth work in 2016, and have been focused on expanding my skill set to better support families ever since. I became licensed in California in 2023, and plan to continue pursuing a deeper knowledge of birth as I serve my community. I gave birth to my son in June of 2023, and am deeply thankful for the gift of motherhood and the ability to care for my child. After supporting so many families in bringing their little ones into the world, I am still in awe of the transformative power of birth. I hope that through my care, I can support and encourage more families to expand their hearts and perspectives as they welcome new souls into their lives. In addition to standard reproductive care, I am also passionate about offering whole-person care, which refers to healing a person’s body, mind, and spirit as a whole unit. I believe that through this perspective, I am able to offer a truly individualized experience which supports a person’s healing and growth on a deeper level. I also hold a deep trust and admiration for my own intuition, which I find is my greatest tool in finding better ways to show up for my clients. By listening to my own inner voice as a healer AND teaching my clients to do the same, I hope to provide a deeper and more complete level of care.

Hi, I’m Emma—founder of Solstice Birth Co, and a birth worker with over a decade of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My journey into this work began in a deeply personal way—witnessing birth as a child, I was struck by how powerful, raw, and transformative it was. That early experience stayed with me and ultimately led me down the path of midwifery. Years later, I went on to have my own home birth with my daughter in 2009—an experience that further rooted my belief in the body’s innate wisdom and the importance of feeling safe, supported, and truly seen during birth. I went on to train as a traditionally trained midwife (CPM, LM), working hands-on with families across California and building a strong clinical and intuitive foundation in the midwifery model of care—one that honors pregnancy and birth as physiologic, sacred, and deeply human experiences. At this time, I am no longer offering home birth midwifery care. Instead, I’ve shifted into a more integrative and supportive role—one that allows me to walk alongside women and families in a deeply personalized way through Solstice Birth Co.

I provide out of hospital, midwifery care for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I also offer childbirth education in person and online. I am a Licensed Midwife and Certified Massage Therapist.
