https://rootsandrestdoula.my.canva.site/ Hi, all! My name is Kiara and I am a full-spectrum certified doula, certified lactation specialist, and student lactation consultant — and a mom to three amazing boys — I’m passionate about walking beside families through every part of their journey. My work is rooted in compassion, education, and the belief that every parent deserves gentle, informed support. The name Roots & Rest came from my belief that families thrive when they are grounded in support and given time to rest. My work as a doula and lactation professional centers around helping parents feel steady, cared for, and confident as they have grow their roots in parenthood.

Kiara helped my family during the first 8 weeks with our second child and she was wonderful. Her presence each night was a comfort to the whole family. She had a knack for understanding and soothing my baby, quickly attending to his cries so he didn’t wake the toddler, and supporting us parents along the way. I was especially appreciative of Kiara’s experience and expertise with lactation consulting — she had some great advice when my baby was struggling with gas, and she clearly understood hunger cues vs when my baby just needed extra soothing at night. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to welcome Kiara into our home, and I’m confident other families will feel the same. Highly recommend!

Cassandra Koblitz

I’ve spent over a decade as a labor and delivery nurse inside hospital walls—standing beside women as monitors beeped, doctors rushed, and plans changed in an instant. But the moments that stuck with me weren’t just the medical ones. They were the moments when a woman felt completely alone—even with a room full of people. When she nodded through the doctor’s explanation but cried later because she didn’t understand what any of it meant for her and her baby. When she whispered, “I just want to enjoy this… but I don’t even know how anymore.” That’s why I created Hakuna Matata Mamas. To offer the kind of support I knew was missing: the kind that holds your hand through the hard, teaches you how to cope with the unknown, and reminds you that you still get to have a story you’re proud to share. I work with high-risk mamas who feel like the rug’s been pulled out from under them—who are doing their best to stay strong, but secretly just want someone to see behind the brave face. Through personalized hospital prep, nervous system tools, and real, compassionate guidance, I help you feel courageous and connected—so when the big day comes, it’s not just something you “get through.” It’s the best day of your life. Even if it didn’t go according to plan. Because how you feel during your birth matters. And you deserve to feel safe, supported, and sure of yourself—every step of the way.

Cassandra is extremely dedicated to her work and focused on putting her patients first. She is very knowledgeable about pregnancy and the birthing process and is the perfect person to have in your corner to help you feel prepared for the journey. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she really makes sure to consider all options with you to find the best fit. Every time I talk to her I feel more calm and prepared for my upcoming birth. I don't know what I would do without her!

Izabel Looney

5 years of experience

Moving to Wisconsin November 1, 2025. Izabel (she/her) is a birth doula trained through DONA International and a postpartum doula trained through CAPPA. She is in the final stages of completing her formal certifications for both. Izabel made her way into birth work in 2021 due to a strong desire to be with families at a monumental time and in 2024 added her transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) certifications to better support birthing parents who want more options around pain management. Supporting you and your family through something as special as birth makes her heart sing. She looks forward to supporting your family’s journey through pregnancy and throughout the postpartum period of time. In her free time she loves to hike and go white water kayaking and is an avid reader. Izabel expresses her creativity through crocheting, painting, and metalwork, and she loves cooking for others and sharing a love of food with those in her community.

If I could give more stars I would. She went above and beyond in all aspects. She gave me so much knowledge and power to have some control in my daughter’s birth, even when it felt like everything was out of control. I delivered my daughter early at 34 weeks, and our amazing doula drove back from out of state (over 10 hours) to make it to the birth. I went from panic to calm as she began giving more tools to aid in comfort and calming, she also was able to give my family support to better support me. I will recommend this doula again and again, I would’ve been a complete wreck without her and the empowerment she gave me. To this day, she’s sent Mother’s Day cards, checked in, and she’s really been such a blessing to us.

Hi, I’m Tenia, and I’m stepping into the sacred role of a doula. My journey in holistic healing, Reiki, life coaching and maternal wellness has led me to this work. I’m passionate about supporting mothers emotionally, physically, and mentally through their pregnancy and birth experiences. My focus is on intuitive, holistic care, blending mindfulness and traditional doula practices to nurture and empower moms during this transformative time. My greatest teachers are my three beautiful daughters. They inspire me every day to create a healthy, holistic, and happy home—one rooted in nature’s wisdom, balance, and deep self-trust. I'm excited to get to support and learn more about you and your family as you navigate this wonderful and empowering journey.

Tenia was our doula during my first pregnancy. We couldn't have asked for a better person to have in our corner. She was very informative and was with us throughout the whole experience. Tenia did a great job with providing resources and Education as needed while allowing us to make our own decisions. She was not only there for me, but also my partner. She was there supporting and guiding both of us throughout the birthing and postpartum. Her approach was genuine and effective. Throughout my pregnancy she provided resources on how to manage morning sickness, provided pelvic floor workouts, and educated me in ways to get baby in the right position for birth. We were very lucky to have had her expertise as first time parents! Thank you Tenia for going above and beyond our expectations!

Abigail Wolf

Welcome! My name is Abigail, and I am an (AWWS) certified birth doula and the heart and hands behind Providence Doula Services, LLC. Though the official launch of Providence Doula Services is fairly recent, my love for birth work and babies is not! With each birth I witness and every mamma I have the privilege of serving, my awe and passion for God's incredible design deepens. I grew up in Wisconsin and am proud to serve families all across Sheboygan County and beyond. I come from a family of five children and deeply cherish my family, my faith in Jesus Christ, and of course, my morning coffee (or evening coffee if I'm heading to a birth)! It is truly an honor to walk alongside families during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum season. I am continually humbled and grateful for the opportunity to support mothers during one of the most sacred and life-changing moments of their lives

For my first baby, I assumed the nurses would guide us through labor, but the experience felt stressful and chaotic, and my husband felt helpless. Having Abbie with us for our second birth completely changed that experience. She created a calm, comforting environment, guided me through breathing and natural pain relief techniques, and equipped my husband with the tools and confidence to truly support me during labor. Her gentle presence, steady advocacy, and expertise helped transform my labor into a peaceful, empowering, fully unmedicated birth experience. I will always be grateful for the care she gave our family.

As a certified doula of color with extensive training in lactation support, birth, postpartum care, and infant feeding (including baby-led weaning), I am deeply committed to providing safe and empowering care for women and all birthing individuals. Recognizing the historical disparities in modern medicine for women of color, my practice centers on ensuring you, your baby, and your family feel secure and well-supported throughout your prenatal, birthing, and postpartum journey. I reside in the Milwaukee area but am willing to travel within the state of Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

After having two traumatic birth experiences caused by negligent doctors I decided for my third and final pregnancy that I would take a leap of faith and go with a doula to advocate for me and make sure my final birth experience would be on MY terms. With the help of Brianna and my midwife team, I had an extremely peaceful and empowering unmedicated birth experience with no interventions from any doctor. I had complete and total faith and trust in Brianna to make decisions that I would make after extensive conversations and consultations about what my ideal birth experience would look like. Brianna took all of my stress and worry away and I was able to 100% focus on the flows of active labor and she supported me through it 100%. And she not only supported me through birth, but the days that followed. I wish I had gone this route with my previous two but how lucky am I that I got to have this experience the third time around.
