About me

HI there! I am a Doula fresh off the training market who is so excited to serve and help expecting Mommas all over! I am a Mom of 5 myself, and oh how I wish I'd had a doula for my births! My husband did a fantastic job, but nothing beats the specialty and care of another woman who knows the business and who can encourage you on, in whichever way works for you. I am excited to connect with anyone looking to be cared for and listened to ❤️

Service introduction

A birth doula (also called a labor doula) is a trained, non-medical professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a birthing person (and often their partner/family) before, during, and shortly after childbirth. They do not perform medical tasks, deliver babies, or replace doctors, midwives, or nurses—instead, they complement medical care by focusing on your comfort, empowerment, and preferences. Here are the basic services most birth doulas offer: Prenatal support — Meeting with you (usually starting in the second or third trimester) to discuss your birth preferences, help create or refine a birth plan, answer questions about pregnancy/labor/birth options, and provide education on what to expect. They build trust so you feel comfortable sharing concerns or fears. Continuous presence and support during labor and birth — Staying with you from early/active labor through delivery (and often into initial recovery). They offer: Physical comfort measures — Suggestions for positions to ease labor/progression, massage, counter-pressure, breathing/relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy guidance, or other non-medical pain relief tools. Emotional encouragement — Reassurance, calm presence, motivation, and help reducing anxiety or fear to support a positive experience. Partner/family involvement — Guiding partners on how to help effectively while giving them breaks if needed. Advocacy and communication — Helping ensure your voice is heard by reminding you (or your partner) of your preferences, explaining options in simple terms (without giving medical advice), and supporting informed decision-making. Postpartum visit — Often one or more brief check-ins shortly after birth to offer initial support, debrief the experience, answer early questions, and connect you to resources if needed (though extensive postpartum care is more typical of a separate postpartum doula). My core focus is on personalized, one-on-one, non-judgmental support to help you feel more confident, comfortable, and respected throughout the process. Many families report benefits like shorter labors, reduced need for certain interventions, and higher satisfaction—backed by evidence from organizations like DONA International and reviews of studies.
