Rebecca Holladay

Hi, my name is Rebecca, but my friends and family call me Becky! I'm a mom of three wonderful children, and while I've spent many years raising my own family, I still have so much love, patience, attention, and snuggles to give to the little ones. After spending much of my career in retail and corrections, I've decided to pursue something that feels especially meaningful to me: becoming a certified postpartum overnight doula. Although I'm still completing my training, I bring years of hands-on parenting experience and a genuine passion for helping families. I have three children: a 22-year-old college graduate, an 18-year-old preparing to graduate high school with A's and B's, and a very independent 10-year-old son who is doing wonderfully. I've also worked third shift for quite some time, so I understand overnight schedules and how to make them work for a family. I've learned how to balance working nights while still being present for dinner, family time, and everything in between. I expect to complete my doula training by the end of November, including infant CPR and First Aid certification. I'm a fun, honest, caring, and dependable person who genuinely wants to make life a little easier for growing families. I understand that welcoming a new baby is exciting, beautiful, and sometimes overwhelming. My hope is to provide a helping hand, a listening ear, and loving support so parents can get some much-needed rest and feel confident knowing their little one is being cared for. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and your family, learn about your needs, and build a relationship that works for everyone. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I look forward to meeting you and hopefully becoming a trusted part of your family's journey! Warmly, Rebecca (Becky)

Hayden Brame

Hi everybody! My name is Hayden Brame and I am a doula here in the Twin Cities. I have been working with children and their families since I was a teenager (more than 10 years now!) and am so passionate about families and making sure that every family has the best start imaginable. I believe that giving birth should be empowering and focus on the choices that you are able to make and on giving you the information that you need to make those choices. I will advocate for your decisions, from everything from what music to be played to what pain management you would prefer, and I will also hold space in the moment for any changes that you need. Birth is sacred and should be treated as such- at the end of this experience, you'll have a new member of your family to start a life with and I want to make sure that you are set up for success every step of the way!

Hayden was a wonderful doula to have at my first birth. Her experience with a TENS unit, acupressure points, and applying counter pressure during all my contractions was crucial to my smooth labor. She kept track of all my contractions and when they began to get farther apart she encouraged me to start walking. She also coached my husband and sister on counter pressure so they could help me as well. Hayden’s calm presence helped keep me stable and focused throughout the day and I’m so thankful that she could guide me through my first birth!

I’m Hallie, the founder and CEO of Better Beginnings. My passion for supporting women and families through the incredible transformation into parenthood began with my own journey. After experiencing the challenges of the postpartum period with my first two children, I felt called to create a resource that could make this transition smoother and more supportive for others. That’s how Better Beginnings was born. Today, I’m proud to lead one of Minnesota’s premier teams for postpartum doula and lactation support. Our team is highly trained and deeply committed to providing compassionate, expert care to families during this pivotal time. As a certified lactation counselor and certified postpartum doula, I’ve spent over a decade working with mothers and families, helping them navigate the early days and beyond with confidence and reassurance. My work is grounded in both personal experience and professional expertise—I’m a mother of four, and I know firsthand how deeply the journey into motherhood transforms us. Supporting families isn’t just my profession; it’s my calling. My mission is to make quality postpartum care accessible and to create a nurturing community for mothers as they embrace each stage of motherhood and self-discovery. I’m grateful to share in this journey with you and look forward to supporting you along the way.

What a gift to work with Better Beginnings! Hallie and her team were so prompt and helpful from start to finish, making sure we had what we need to choose the right offerings for our birth and were so gracious about all of our questions along the way. We loved working with our doula Cyrese - She went above and beyond to check in, encourage, and support us in all the weeks leading up to birth and through our delivery, sharing so much knowledge and cheering us along the whole way. We felt so loved and supported in our preparations for birth and welcoming our little one to our home - We would warmly recommend Better Beginnings to any mama and family welcoming a new baby!

Having Madi as our doula was such a joy! She truly made our prenatal, birth, and postpartum experiences better than I could’ve ever imagined. When we were looking for a doula we wanted someone who would bring Christ to the center of our birth journey. Our birthing experience was incredibly difficult and full of anxiety and I just knew we did not want to go through that again. Immediately during our first meeting with Madi she kept the meeting spirit lead and calmed the nerves in the room from her presence. Madi has a peace about her from the Lord that cannot go unnoticed. Although my birthing experience did not go how we expected it to go this time, Madi was there with her peaceful, calming presence the entire time. She was such an incredibly encouraging individual to have with us as we met our second baby. Madi was really able to do it all for us and more, and we highly recommend her!

Night nannies truly are angels on earth during one of the most wonderful, but also overwhelming, seasons of life—and Kelsey was absolutely that for our family. From the very beginning, Kelsey was warm, dependable, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. We quickly felt completely comfortable trusting her with our baby overnight, which is about the highest compliment you can give someone. There is an incredible sense of relief in being able to close your eyes at night and know that your baby is safe, loved, and being cared for by someone you completely trust. Kelsey has such a calm and reassuring presence and was incredibly attentive to our baby’s needs. Having her with us gave us the invaluable gift of sleep, an investment in our health and made those early newborn months feel so much more manageable. We cannot recommend Kelsey highly enough. Entrusting someone with your newborn is an enormous decision, and we never once questioned that he was in wonderful hands with her. We are incredibly grateful she was part of such a special chapter in our lives, and any family would be truly fortunate to have Kelsey caring for their baby.

Laurice was a wonderful addition to my birth team. We decided on a hospital low-intervention birth and Laurice helped us every step of the way! Pre-labor, she helped answer all our questions and provided us with wonderful resources. She helped us put all our ideas about the birth into a concrete plan so we could share it with the medical team. During our labor she created the exact environment that helped me stay focused and relaxed during the hard parts of my labor. Laurice and my husband applied everything we had practiced at our home meetings before the big day from squeezes in the right places to phrases that kept me motivated. After our labor, we got to see the beautiful pictures she had taken, and I'm so thankful she documented the beautiful bonding moments. I rave to all my friends about Laurice and how she reassured me every step of the way. If you are looking to have a wonderful birth experience, Laurice will be the best addition!
