About Rebecca

Hi, my name is Rebecca, but my friends and family call me Becky! I'm a mom of three wonderful children, and while I've spent many years raising my own family, I still have so much love, patience, attention, and snuggles to give to the little ones. After spending much of my career in retail and corrections, I've decided to pursue something that feels especially meaningful to me: becoming a certified postpartum overnight doula. Although I'm still completing my training, I bring years of hands-on parenting experience and a genuine passion for helping families. I have three children: a 22-year-old college graduate, an 18-year-old preparing to graduate high school with A's and B's, and a very independent 10-year-old son who is doing wonderfully. I've also worked third shift for quite some time, so I understand overnight schedules and how to make them work for a family. I've learned how to balance working nights while still being present for dinner, family time, and everything in between. I expect to complete my doula training by the end of November, including infant CPR and First Aid certification. I'm a fun, honest, caring, and dependable person who genuinely wants to make life a little easier for growing families. I understand that welcoming a new baby is exciting, beautiful, and sometimes overwhelming. My hope is to provide a helping hand, a listening ear, and loving support so parents can get some much-needed rest and feel confident knowing their little one is being cared for. Mileage reimbursement flat rate .75/mile round trip tracked and verified by a maps app Only because I live in Anamosa, Regular shift: ten hours. My hourly rate right now, as I work on my training before I am certified, is 20.00 hour; after I am certified and provide the documents, that rate will go up to $ 35-40 per hour. Any time worked over ten hours is time and a half, which is equal to 20 x 1.5 for the number of hours over the ten hours that I worked for your family, unless otherwise discussed, verified by an app

What to expect

I provide loving, attentive overnight care for your baby so you can get some much-needed rest and peace of mind. My overnight care includes: Feeding your baby Diaper changes Soothing and settling your baby back to sleep Washing bottles Packaging and safely storing breast milk Washing and putting away breast pump parts before my shift ends I prefer a separate space, such as the baby's nursery or living room, where I can rest while the baby sleeps but still stay close by. A comfortable couch or rocking chair would be ideal. Overnight hours and shift lengths can be discussed and agreed upon between you and me, based on your family's individual needs. Just a little FYI about me and my care practices: I always wear gloves when changing diapers, keep my fingernails neatly trimmed for baby's safety and comfort, and may sometimes wear scrubs for comfort and convenience. I believe in maintaining good hygiene and creating a clean, comfortable environment for your little one. My goal is to provide loving, dependable overnight care while helping parents get some much-needed sleep and reassurance knowing their little one is being cared for.
