Hi everybody! My name is Hayden Brame and I am a doula here in the Twin Cities. I have been working with children and their families since I was a teenager (more than 10 years now!) and am so passionate about families and making sure that every family has the best start imaginable. I believe that giving birth should be empowering and focus on the choices that you are able to make and on giving you the information that you need to make those choices. I will advocate for your decisions, from everything from what music to be played to what pain management you would prefer, and I will also hold space in the moment for any changes that you need. Birth is sacred and should be treated as such- at the end of this experience, you'll have a new member of your family to start a life with and I want to make sure that you are set up for success every step of the way!

I offer both birth and post partum doula services. I am still in the process of getting my certification from DONA, but have attended births and have ample experience with newborns and infants. I know acupressure and some massage, and can do reiki before, during, and after labor, as needed. My whole job is to keep you comfortable and happy during the experience so that it can be as positive as possible!
Hayden was a wonderful doula to have at my first birth. Her experience with a TENS unit, acupressure points, and applying counter pressure during all my contractions was crucial to my smooth labor. She kept track of all my contractions and when they began to get farther apart she encouraged me to start walking. She also coached my husband and sister on counter pressure so they could help me as well. Hayden’s calm presence helped keep me stable and focused throughout the day and I’m so thankful that she could guide me through my first birth!

Hayden is the most calming presence in our home. They bring a knowledge and practice of early childhood care that translated into 1:1 care for our kids. They engage in calm and fun games with our 4 year old while also soothing our baby! We feel so centered and relaxed when they are in our home. More, we can ask questions about child development and know we are speaking to an expert!

Hayden supported our family as a postpartum doula when we welcomed our third child. Hayden’s experience as a teacher in early learning and Montessori settings was especially important to us as sibling interaction and integration was a big piece we needed help with those first few weeks. Hayden spent time with my older kids when I needed to focus on the baby and helped me with new strategies to use during behavioral challenges and sleep challenges for my older kids as they adjusted to the big transition. Hayden also spent time caring for our baby so I could get quality time with my older kids and have some time for myself! Hayden’s friendly, calming and supportive presence was so appreciated by our entire family as we entered this new chapter.
