Hello, I’m Kathy, and I’m honored to walk alongside families as they journey into parenthood. Becoming a mother is one of the most beautiful and life-changing experiences a woman can go through. It can also be overwhelming, emotional, and filled with uncertainty. I believe no mother should have to navigate that journey feeling alone. As a Birth and Postpartum Doula, my heart is in supporting mothers and families through the many transitions that come with pregnancy, birth, and bringing a new baby home. I am here to listen, encourage, reassure, and provide a calm and caring presence when you need it most. My educational background in Psychology, with an emphasis in Family and Marriage Therapy, has deepened my understanding of the emotional and relational changes that can occur during this important season of life. The arrival of a baby changes more than a family’s daily routine—it can change how we see ourselves, how we connect with our partners, and how we navigate our new roles as parents. I bring this understanding into my doula work by creating a safe, compassionate space where mothers and families can feel heard, supported, and understood. During pregnancy and birth, I support you in preparing for the experience you envision while respecting that birth can sometimes take an unexpected path. Whether your birth plan changes or unfolds exactly as you hoped, you deserve to feel informed, respected, and supported. After your baby arrives, my role is to help you find your rhythm as a new family. I provide practical and emotional support as you recover, learn your baby, navigate feeding and newborn care, adjust to new routines, and experience the many emotions that come with motherhood. I believe that caring for the mother is an essential part of caring for the family. My philosophy is simple: I don't believe in telling you how to be a mother. I believe in meeting you where you are, listening to what you need, and walking beside you as you discover your own way. There is no perfect birth, no perfect mother, and no single path into parenthood. There is only "your" journey—and I would be honored to be part of it. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, supported, and confident as you move from pregnancy to birth and into the beautiful, sometimes messy, and deeply transformative journey of motherhood. As a birth & postpartum doula, I am here to provide compassionate, personalized support as you and your family adjust to life with your new baby. My services are designed to help you feel supported, confident, and My philosophy as a birth and postpartum doula is rooted in the belief that every family & pregnant mom deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, and supported throughout the journey into parenthood. Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period are deeply personal experiences, and I believe there is no single “right” way to navigate them. The experience should be uniquely theirs as part of their motherhood journey. My role is to provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support while honoring each parent’s values, preferences, culture, and individual needs. During the prenatal journey, I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where families can ask questions, explore their options, prepare for birth, and build confidence in their ability to make informed decisions. I provide emotional and practical support while encouraging parents to communicate openly with their healthcare providers and advocate for the care that feels right for them. During birth, my philosophy is to be a calm and reassuring presence. I support the birthing person and their partner through encouragement, comfort measures, relaxation techniques, positioning, and continuous emotional support. Whether a family plans an unmedicated birth, uses pain medication, has a planned cesarean birth, or experiences an unexpected change in their birth plan, I believe every family deserves compassionate and respectful support without judgment. During the postpartum period, my focus shifts toward helping the family adjust to life with their newborn. I provide practical, emotional, and informational support as parents navigate recovery, newborn care, feeding, sleep changes, and the many emotions that can accompany becoming a parent. I believe supporting the wellbeing of the parents is just as important as caring for the baby, because a supported parent and family create a stronger foundation for the entire family. Above all, I believe my role is not to make decisions for families, but to walk alongside them. I listen without judgment, provide evidence-informed information and resources, encourage parents to explore their options, and support them in making the choices that are right for their family. My goal is to help families feel confident, prepared, cared for, and empowered as they transition through pregnancy, birth, and into their new journey of parenthood.
