About me

Hello everyone, my name is Kathy Ly, and I am a CAPPA Certified Postpartum Doula located in Orange County, CA. Becoming a parent is a beautiful and transformative journey, but it can also bring many new emotions, challenges, and adjustments. As a postpartum doula, my goal is to provide compassionate, nurturing, and nonjudgmental support to families as they navigate this new chapter of life with their newborn. I believe that caring for a baby begins with caring for the family as a whole. My philosophy is centered on supporting the physical, emotional, and practical well-being of new parents while helping them build confidence in their new roles. I am here to listen, encourage, educate, and provide a helping hand—creating a safe and comforting environment where parents can rest, recover, bond with their baby, and find their own rhythm as a family. It is an honor to walk alongside families during such a meaningful time and help make the transition into parenthood feel a little more supported, peaceful, and joyful.

Service introduction

Welcome to Bridge to Parenthood Postpartum Care Welcome to Bridge to Parenthood Postpartum Care! Bringing a newborn home is a beautiful and life-changing experience, filled with love, excitement, and sometimes a little uncertainty. As a postpartum doula, I am here to provide compassionate, personalized support as you and your family adjust to life with your new baby. My services are designed to help you feel supported, confident, and cared for during this important transition. How I Can Support Your Family My postpartum doula services focus on the well-being of the entire family. Depending on your needs, support may include: Postpartum parent support – Providing a listening ear, encouragement, reassurance, and a judgment-free space as you adjust to your new role. Rest and recovery – Helping create opportunities for new parents to rest, recharge, and care for themselves. Light household support – Assisting with baby-related laundry, bottle preparation, tidying, and simple tasks that help make the home feel more manageable. Sibling and family adjustment – Supporting older children as they adjust to the arrival of a new baby and helping families establish a comfortable new routine. Feeding support – Offering nonjudgmental support with breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, pumping, and combination feeding while respecting each family's choices. Emotional reassurance – Being a calm and supportive presence during the ups and downs of the postpartum period. My Philosophy I believe that when parents feel supported, cared for, and confident, they are better able to care for their baby. My role is not to tell you how to parent, but to meet you where you are, listen to your needs, share information and resources, and help you discover what works best for your family. At Bridge to Parenthood Postpartum Care, my goal is to help make the transition into parenthood feel less overwhelming and more supported—giving families the space to rest, recover, bond, and grow together. It is my privilege to walk alongside you during these precious first weeks and help you build a nurturing beginning for your growing family.
