Melissa’s earliest memory of delighting in the birth process was as a child visiting the Science Museum. I am Raelene Whitehead! I trained and certified as a birth doula in November 2021, and attended my first birth later that month. I opened Shiloh Birth LLC a few months later. I added placenta encapsulation and childbirth education to my services in 2023! I became a birth doula and placenta encapsulationist because I believe women deserve support. Hi, I'm Corina - midwife, mother, and matrescence facilitator. For over 30 years, I’ve held sacred space for women at their most raw and powerful moments—guiding them through the threshold of childbirth and into the postpartum period as a midwife. As a single mother of three and a purpose-driven entrepreneur, I know intimately the ache of trying to hold it all together while slowly losing touch with myself. After the birth of my third daughter, I was brought to my knees by the depths of postpartum depression and anxiety. I turned to the very tools I now teach—embodiment, feminine power, and the transformational map of matrescence—to reclaim my life from burnout and disconnection. Today, as a midwife and transformational facilitator, I support mothers in doing the same: coming home to themselves, reigniting their passion, and stepping fully into the powerful, integrated women they were born to be—at home, in business, and in the world.

I am a lifelong Alaskan who discovered my love for birth and women’s health in nursing school. In addition to being a Certified Postpartum Doula of 18 years, I am also a Licensed Home Birth Midwife (licensed by the Medical Board of California) and Newborn Care Specialist. I am fully insured and Trustline Registry approved (CA background check) I am current with Neonatal resuscitation, infant and CPR certifications. I have over 18 years of experience providing postpartum doula support, with a large portion of my work focused specifically on overnight care for newborns and first-time parents including preemies, twins and triplets. My role during night shifts is to prioritize both infant safety and parental rest, handling all newborn care overnight (feeding support, soothing, diapering, settling, and monitoring), while also supporting parents in learning their baby’s cues and milestones. My goal is that parents wake feeling rested, reassured, and more confident each day.

Adonica Shaw is a Certified International Health Coach, doula, student midwife, and patient advocate. As the founder and CEO of Wingwomen, she's a powerful voice for women who are navigating their reproductive health. She built the platform after a Preeclampsia diagnosis in 2017. The experience later became a catalyst for creating the telehealth company which also provides access to health coaching to women with Endometriosis and PCOS. As a women's health advocate, she serves on the Birth Equity Accountability through Measurement (BEAM) Advisory Panel on the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). She is a Patient Advocate for the Preeclampsia Foundation and Momma’s Voices where she regularly collaborates with institutions like Stanford Medicine and the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative to drive awareness for initiatives around Preeclampsia and maternal health.

I believe in supporting the natural processes of birth. After having my 3 children at home I was drawn to becoming a midwife to make sure that families continue to have access to safe nurturing pregnancy care options. Hello! My name is Crystal Strawn. I am a Certified Nurse Midwife in Arlington, Texas. I attend birth center births at Birth and Wellness Center of Arlington and home births throughout the DFW area. I have been a midwife since late 2021 with a 10 year history as a labor and delivery nurse prior to becoming a midwife. I am an advocate for natural, physiologic birth. I want each of my clients to feel heard, empowered, and supported throughout their pregnancy and birth. It is an absolute honor to walk alongside my clients throughout their birthing journeys. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be apart of their birth team to support and empower them in bringing new life into the world! Juli's unique background combines the intuition of traditional midwifery and a strong sense of the spiritual side of the childbearing transition. Juli is fully supportive and embraces all families of every shape, size, color, creed, background, belief, sexual or gender identity. You will find love and caring at Open Heart Midwifery. Upon availability, you may hire the midwife to support you overnight during the postpartum period. Juli brings a wealth of experience with both singletons and multiples and can help families get a good night's sleep. She can also assist with feeding/nursing and newborn care skills. I entered the world of birth work in 2016, and have been focused on expanding my skill set to better support families ever since. I became licensed in California in 2023, and plan to continue pursuing a deeper knowledge of birth as I serve my community. I gave birth to my son in June of 2023, and am deeply thankful for the gift of motherhood and the ability to care for my child. After supporting so many families in bringing their little ones into the world, I am still in awe of the transformative power of birth. I hope that through my care, I can support and encourage more families to expand their hearts and perspectives as they welcome new souls into their lives. In addition to standard reproductive care, I am also passionate about offering whole-person care, which refers to healing a person’s body, mind, and spirit as a whole unit. I believe that through this perspective, I am able to offer a truly individualized experience which supports a person’s healing and growth on a deeper level. I also hold a deep trust and admiration for my own intuition, which I find is my greatest tool in finding better ways to show up for my clients.
