We provide all you need to comfortably bring your baby into the world. The birth center midwives provide all of your prenatal care appointments, help you during labor and birth, and continue care for six weeks for you and baby. When you come to the birth center in labor, the deep soaking tubs help you relax. You can also choose to labor on one of the birthing stools, in a yoga sling, or on one of our exercise balls. Each birth suite has color changing lights, smart tvs, smart speakers, and oil diffusers to create a calm birth environment.

I am a grateful wife and mother of seven children who helped introduce me to the world of giving birth. I have born them all naturally, some in the hospital and later in the homebirth setting. I have been a Nurse for over 40 years and have worked in the hospital in Labor & Delivery, Newborn Nursery and Postpartum care. I have also followed 'out-of-hospital' midwives since I was 25 years old. Recently I became a Certified Professional Midwife who specializes in out-of-hospital (OOH) birthing. We opened My Family Birth Center in Ogden, Utah to give women the opportunity to birth in their own way. We are the largest Birth Center in Utah and Nationally Accredited with the Commission of Accrediting Birth Centers (CABC). We are within 3 blocks of a Ogden Regional Medical Center. We've been open for 4 1/2 years and have helped over 250 couples. I believe in natural birth and know that it has helped many women to experience a quiet, normal, positive birth experience. In my spare time I enjoy bike riding, snowboarding and being with family.

We have 60 mins for new patient visits and 30 min for return patients- this is for both GYN and pregnancy visits. I attend births at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and have a fabulous collaborating OBGYN for any patients with complications out of my scope of practice or those needing surgical intervention. I am Raelene Whitehead! I trained and certified as a birth doula in November 2021, and attended my first birth later that month. I opened Shiloh Birth LLC a few months later. I added placenta encapsulation and childbirth education to my services in 2023! I became a birth doula and placenta encapsulationist because I believe women deserve support. Women deserve education and information especially when it comes to pregnancy, birth and postpartum. My desire and mission is to help women develop a peaceful environment for them to birth in. Having relocated from Dallas, TX in 2022, Megan established Sun Valley Birth & Wellness to provide high-quality midwifery care to families in the West Valley. Residing in Buckeye with her husband and five children, Megan's interests outside of supporting mamas and babies include fitness, baking sourdough, and active involvement in her church community.

I am committed to offering pregnant women more individualized, intimate care. I believe that a mother should be in control of her birth experience as an active and informed decision maker every step of the way. From the very first appointment, to the moment she holds her baby in her arms, she is in control. Childbirth, when viewed from an empowered and connected frame of mind, has the potential to be a beautiful, transformative, life changing event. I fully believe that birthing is a normal physiological process in a woman’s life and when supported by a healthy lifestyle, little intervention is ever needed. I see myself as more of a birth guardian who walks alongside a mother, making sure she has the utmost reassurance and guidance. Birth is natural and beautiful; it can be a completely different experience when not approached from a fear based mindset. Instead, we choose to approach pregnancy and birth with positive, evidence based information as a biologically normal experience. After a 4 year comprehensive apprenticeship, I earned my Certified Professional Midwives (CPM) license. This credentialing is the national gold standard for midwifery certification. It is only available after demonstrating the experience and skills necessary to attend an out-of-hospital birth. The candidate that passes an extensive exam administered by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM), is required to maintain current certification in adult, infant and neonatal CPR and resuscitation. I am also licensed by the state of Louisiana and recognized by the Board of Medical Examiners as a licensed caregiver. As a midwife, it is my duty to stay up to date with evidence based information as well as ongoing education. To date, I have attended over 270 births.

Rose (she/her) has been a midwife for over 5 years and has been attending births in various capacities and settings for over a decade. Rose completed her midwifery training at the Yale School of Nursing in Connecticut in 2019. Rose was drawn to this work because of the magic of the birthing body and the desire to come alongside birthing people to remind them of their full power and voice. Rose had her own two babies at home, her first here in NC with a CNM and her second with a CPM while in midwifery school.
