I created Mommy’s Helper Postpartum In-Home Help Service, LLC (Doula Group) out of my own experience navigating the challenges of postpartum recovery, especially when I struggled with postpartum depression. During that time, I recognized the profound need for compassionate, reliable support, and I wanted to ensure that other mothers had access to the care and understanding they deserve during such a vulnerable time.

During my journey through early motherhood, I saw the struggles of myself and friends. I found a passion for helping others. While doing my training to become a postpartum doula, I realized I also loved learning about breastfeeding. This ignited a fire for me to complete the certification process to become a lactation counselor as well. I provide overnight support of newborns as well resources and education on various infant care topics. I also do in home lactation visits.

Hi! My name is Madelyn, and I am becoming a Certified Full Spectrum Doula. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in becoming a birth worker. I work as a nanny and have loved the career I have established for myself, but am ready to move forward in providing care to mamas and newborns during the prenatal, labor, and postpartum stages. I recently got to experience this with one of my nanny families which ultimately encouraged me to pursue this career professionally. The experience in caring for a postpartum mother to twins has really provided me with knowledge in doing the same for many others.

My former work were group homes, foster care, caregiving, cna, rna, respiratory care, management, and hospice care. Needless to say I have a broad background of caring for everyone from all ranges of life. From pregnancy to postpartum and infant care to beyond, it’s always been my calling. I believe in judgement free zones and adhering and listening to mothers. I am here to offer emotional and informational support. I believe everyone has their own way of doing things and it’s not my job to dictate but to listen and guide, with positive reinforcement, in a helping and caring manner.
