What does it mean to be "Trauma-Informed"?

I have personal experience and training in working with women who may be approaching pregnancy with childhood abuse, PTSD, SA or DV, or who have experienced traumatic births or miscarriages. This includes premature births, Stillbirth, unplanned or emergency c-sections, postpartum hospitalization. Being a Trauma-informed care provider means I provide sensitive, compassionate, and thoughtful care to help my clients feel safe and empowered in their births and postpartum.
