Hey! My name is Candice Echeverria, and I have been a lactation consultant for nearly ten years. I first began working as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist in 2016, then received my International Board Certification in 2023. I am also a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor, Certified Patient Advocate, and am pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have helped hundreds of families overcome basic to more severe breastfeeding and infant feeding challenges working in the home, hospital, and virtually throughout the world. I love what I do and I would love to be a part of your family’s postpartum and feeding journey! My goal is to make you feel safe and comfortable expressing whatever your concerns might be, so we can process the emotions and feelings that are tied to what you are experiencing. We will go over all of your questions, find solutions for whatever might be bringing you discomfort, and move forward with plans of action that make you feel as calm and confident in caring for your baby as possible. I hope to help you understand the basic functions of breastfeeding, relax in positions that are stress- and pain-free, and help you design a feeding plan that works best for you and your family. Hopefully, we'll get some laughs in there, too! I look forward to meeting you and working with your family. With Love & Liquid Gold, Candice N. Echeverria, IBCLC, Perinatal Mental Health Counselor, Patient Advocate, and Proud Single Mama of two beautiful breastfed babies ☺️

I had such a wonderful experience working with Candice. From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. She answered every question I had with patience and made me feel completely comfortable during a time that can feel overwhelming for new moms. One of the things I appreciated most was that she came to my home. Being able to get help in my own environment made such a difference because she could see exactly how I was feeding, pumping, and positioning the baby in real life. It made the support feel much more practical and personalized. She was also extremely accessible and responsive. Whenever I had questions after our visit, she was available by text and always took the time to respond with thoughtful advice and reassurance. What I loved most was that she didn't just focus on me, she included my partner as well. She showed him helpful techniques and tips so he could support the process too, which made us feel like a team. We were struggling with latch/clicking sounds during feeding and thinking there was a possible tongue/lip tie and uncertain who to go to and how to go about getting it checked out. Candice gave us great recommendations for trusted specialists to follow up with. Having that guidance made navigating everything so much easier. I truly can't recommend her enough. Her kindness, knowledge, and ongoing support made a huge difference in our breastfeeding journey.

We’re here to help you understand what it really means to feed and care for your baby. IMMA is also here for the journey beyond those first few months. We hired Ms. Veronica as a night doula and newborn care specialist for our two daughters. We first reached out to Ms. Veronica before the birth of our first daughter and worked with her during those early months, then again when she traveled with us for the birth of our second daughter, when we hired her as our Traveling Doula. We highly recommend her as a doula in any capacity. As we were getting ready and preparing for the arrival of our first baby, we learned about the classes Ms. Veronica offers as a New Parent Educator. We decided to take three private one-on-one classes with her, including her One-on-One Newborn Care Class and New Daddy Doula Class. These sessions gave both of us the opportunity to learn together and prepare for what to expect before bringing our baby home. As first-time parents, having that education and preparation before our daughter's birth was incredibly valuable and helped us feel much more knowledgeable and confident going into parenthood. Her expertise in newborn care was obvious from our very first weeks with her. She shared countless tips we never would have found in a book or online, drawn from her many years of experience. Neither of us had much prior experience raising babies, but we already felt confident after just two meetings with her.We specifically wanted a doula who wouldn't simply take over, but who would guide us so we could continue providing the best care for our children after she was gone. Ms. Veronica was thorough in communicating and explaining her reasoning behind everything she did. She was meticulous about tracking feedings and wet diapers, and always had a plan to keep our babies happy and thriving in their earliest months. We were also impressed by how flexible she was with our dates, since it's notoriously hard to predict when a baby will arrive. This was put to the test when she traveled with us for our second daughter as our Traveling Doula. A situation that normally would have been stressful and exhausting, but she made it far easier to manage. She was also accommodating about adjusting our daily schedule, since we were both still working and not yet on parental leave. The moment we remember most is how she sleep-trained our first daughter. She built a plan and continually adapted it as needed, quickly getting our daughter to 12 hours of sleep through scheduled feedings - a change that gave us both much-needed rest. Even today, our daughter still sleeps 12 hours every night. We honestly believe every parent should have someone like her whether they are first-time parents or need a helping hand. It can feel a little intimidating to have someone new caring for your newborn, but we never once hesitated to trust her. She cares for your baby as if it were her own, while setting you up for success as first-time parents.

After feeling dismissed and intimidated into making decisions against my better judgment during my first birth, I knew I wanted a different experience the second time and specifically sought out advocacy--hiring Britt as my doula was one of the best decisions I made. From the beginning, she was incredibly relatable and easy to talk to, taking the time to truly understand my preferences, concerns, and goals. Her background as a former high-risk RN, combined with her doula training, gave me so much confidence. She explained things clearly, helped me make informed decisions, and always made sure I felt heard and respected. No matter what questions or worries I had, she met them with patience and reassurance. Even though my birth didn't go as planned and ended in an unplanned C-section, Britt's support never wavered. She was a steady, calming presence throughout and helped me feel empowered and cared for every step of the way. I'm so grateful for her support and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly supportive doula. During such a vulnerable time where appointments can feel impersonal and too "routine", it was such a blessing to feel/know that someone really genuinely cared about me, my pregnancy and by baby!

Like most men, I probably had no idea what a doula did. After meeting with Pamela, I learned quite a bit and felt comfortable in having her be a part of our birth experience. I was able to be there for my wife emotionally and Pamela took care of everything else. She supported my wife in a way that I couldn't have. I have no idea how we could have done it without her. She was the true MVP that day. I can't thank her enough. Her experience as a nurse was super helpful. We will hire her again for our next pregnancy!

As your doula, my role is to support you and your family in the way that best helps you feel calm, confident, and present throughout labor. That might look like hands-on support to help you labor more comfortably at home, guiding your partner in how to do the same, offering gentle coaching as you breathe through contractions, or even quietly capturing photos and keeping loved ones updated. Every birth is unique, and I’m flexible to your goals and desires—even if they shift as labor unfolds. While some people picture doulas as very “woo-woo” or mystical, my style is more grounded and pragmatic. I believe in giving you practical tools, evidence-based guidance, and steady encouragement so you can navigate the challenges of labor with clarity and confidence. I love preparing families by educating them about what to expect and how to respond intentionally, rather than react impulsively in the moment. My professional background is in leadership, mentorship, and professional development, and I bring that same skillset into my doula work—helping you tap into your own strength, stay relaxed, and move through labor as smoothly as your body allows. My ultimate goal is to help you experience the fastest, easiest birth your body is capable of, while holding space for you to feel calm, supported, and fully present in the process.

Having Alix as our doula was the best decision my husband and I made for our birth. I had a long and unexpected labor, and she was our rock through it all. She was knowledgeable, reliable, kind, and incredibly supportive. Alix helped us communicate with the medical staff during stressful moments, making us feel heard and confident in our decisions. She also knew exactly when to step in and when to give us the privacy we needed, which I appreciated so much. After delivery, she helped me with breastfeeding and continued to support us when we needed it most. I truly can't imagine our birth experience without her. I highly recommend Alix to anyone looking for a compassionate and amazing doula.

I truly can’t imagine those first nine weeks without Lisa. She knows exactly what she’s there for and is incredibly attentive, observant, and always one step ahead. As a first-time mom, those first few weeks felt like the most vulnerable and fragile time of my life. You’re suddenly responsible for this tiny human, but you have no idea what you’re doing. It honestly felt like being dropped into the middle of a huge ocean, just trying to figure out which direction to swim. Lisa was the person I truly depended on during that time. She gave me a sense of direction when I felt completely lost and slowly helped me build the confidence to care for my baby on my own. Even now, months later, I still find myself using so much of what she taught me. What I learned from her during those first weeks has stayed with me long after her time with us ended. Beyond taking care of my baby, Lisa made me feel so genuinely cared for and loved. She truly sees you and listens to you. I always felt safe talking to her and simply being around her, and that meant so much to me during such a vulnerable time. And I HAVE to mention her lactation muffins because they are seriously the best!! Her baking completely satisfied my sweet tooth during those early postpartum weeks. As a huge foodie and someone who appreciates food that is both delicious and nourishing, I loved all the little snacks she would make for me. When you’re breastfeeding and constantly hungry, having someone make you something with so much care honestly feels like such a blessing. Every day before Lisa left, we would come up with a little strategy for how I could get through the rest of the day and night without her. I remember sometimes feeling so overwhelmed by the thought of the night ahead, wondering if I was going to get any sleep. Lisa would always reassure me and remind me, “I’ll be back tomorrow morning to take care of you.” Hearing that helped ease so much of my anxiety. Those first weeks with a newborn are filled with so much uncertainty and unpredictability, and simply knowing she would be back the next morning gave me something to hold onto through the harder nights. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have had Lisa be such a big part of this chapter of my life. I will never forget how deeply she cared for both me and my boy. We were so, so well taken care of, and she will always hold such a special place in my heart.

Gina was an amazing support during those first weeks with our newborn! She is an incredibly knowledgeable Newborn Care Specialist and provided exceptional overnight care. Having her there at night gave us the opportunity to finally get some much-needed rest while knowing our baby was in safe, loving, and capable hands. She was wonderful with our baby, attentive to every detail, and very knowledgeable about newborn sleep, feeding, soothing, and establishing healthy routines. She was also an amazing lactation consultant and provided helpful, compassionate guidance with breastfeeding and feeding support. Gina is professional, dependable, caring, and truly understands what new parents need during those exhausting first weeks. We felt completely comfortable having her in our home overnight and would highly recommend her to any family looking for newborn overnight care and lactation support!
