Hey! My name is Candice Echeverria, and I have been a lactation consultant for nearly ten years. I am also a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor, Certified Patient Advocate, and am pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have helped hundreds of families overcome basic to more severe breastfeeding and infant feeding challenges working in the home, hospital, and virtually throughout the world. I love what I do and I would love to be a part of your family’s postpartum and feeding journey! My goal is to make you feel safe and comfortable expressing whatever your concerns might be, so we can process the emotions and feelings that are tied to what you are experiencing. We will go over all of your questions, find solutions for whatever might be bringing you discomfort, and move forward with plans of action that make you feel as calm and confident in caring for your baby as possible. I hope to help you understand the basic functions of breastfeeding, relax in positions that are stress- and pain-free, and help you design a feeding plan that works best for you and your family. Hopefully, we'll get some laughs in there, too! I look forward to meeting you and working with your family. With Love & Liquid Gold, Candice N. I had such a wonderful experience working with Candice. From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. She answered every question I had with patience and made me feel completely comfortable during a time that can feel overwhelming for new moms. One of the things I appreciated most was that she came to my home. Being able to get help in my own environment made such a difference because she could see exactly how I was feeding, pumping, and positioning the baby in real life. It made the support feel much more practical and personalized. She was also extremely accessible and responsive. Whenever I had questions after our visit, she was available by text and always took the time to respond with thoughtful advice and reassurance. What I loved most was that she didn't just focus on me, she included my partner as well. She showed him helpful techniques and tips so he could support the process too, which made us feel like a team. We were struggling with latch/clicking sounds during feeding and thinking there was a possible tongue/lip tie and uncertain who to go to and how to go about getting it checked out. Candice gave us great recommendations for trusted specialists to follow up with. Having that guidance made navigating everything so much easier. I truly can't recommend her enough. Her kindness, knowledge, and ongoing support made a huge difference in our breastfeeding journey.

Candice was recommended to me by a friend of a friend. I was in a panic when we brought our baby home from the hospital and he was not latching and the pump we purchased was not working. I could not get a hold of anyone because it was the weekend. I reached out to Candice and she responded immediately and totally saved the day. She's amazing! Very thorough and helpful. You will definitely leave feeling so supported.

I'm so glad I found Candice through my health insurance. From the get go, she was super easy to reach and I was able to schedule a home visit that same week. Candice was so patient, kind, and never made me feel rushed or judged. She really took the time to watch, listen, and pick up on things I wouldn't have noticed, which led to a referral for a frenectomy that made a big difference for my baby. She referred me to Dr. Rumack, and she and her staff were also amazing. Thank you so much for the referral. Even though breastfeeding didn't go exactly as I planned, I felt supported the whole way and more confident advocating for my baby. I'm so grateful for Candice and highly recommend her.

A friend recommended Candice after I reached out to all my mom friends via a frantic text at 2am when my newborn stopped latching 5 days postpartum. The Kaiser lactation consultants were unable to answer why or offer suggestions so we were desperate. Candice responded to my inquiry so quickly and was so knowledgeable, so compassionate and empathetic, and so patient. Our whole family immediately felt comfortable with her and she was able to answer technical questions, was so professional but still very emotionally responsive, and most importantly, she helped us start our successful breastfeeding journey. I wish wish wish we had worked with her with our first who also did not latch. You can tell from the get go that Candice loves what she does and knows what she's doing. She offered recommendations for other specialists (our baby had a suspected tongue tie, which is something no other consultant or doctor had even mentioned) and offered ongoing help and checked in after our initial appointment. Price-wise, she's definitely affordable and within the range of what other consultants are charging. I think she also can work with some insurances as well. I continue to feel so lucky to have met and worked with her and highly recommend her.

We recently had a prenatal session with Candice and couldn't be more grateful! We left feeling much more equipped and confident about what to expect in the hospital and first few days + weeks at home. She is kind, understanding, and supportive, taking time to answer all our questions and even offered to be available via text if anything comes up! I highly recommend booking a session if you want to feel prepped before baby!

Candice is a life saver. She came recommended by our pediatrician. She was available on short notice to help us when we told her we were struggling with breastfeeding. She came to my home packed with supplies, empathy, and professionalism. She guided me through how to achieve our goals and gave me all the tools I needed to continue on our journey. She then continued with virtual support to make sure we were hitting those goals. I couldn't have done it without her. Don't sleep on getting a consultation with her!
- Ana B.
Candice was beyond sweet and knowledgeable! We worked with her early on and again a couple months later, and every time she left me feeling calmer and more confident. She helped us troubleshoot latch issues and gave me so many practical tips that made breastfeeding feel manageable. After each visit or even a quick text, I felt such a weight lifted off my shoulders. She was always kind, responsive, and truly cared about our progress. Without her, I don't think my breastfeeding journey would have been nearly as positive. I would recommend her a thousand times over to any new parent who needs support and reassurance!
- Wendy P.
I was really struggling before Candice came, and after her visit I felt calmer, more confident, and truly supported. She cares deeply for both mama and baby, follows up afterwards, and brings warmth, expertise, and encouragement every step.
- Audrey D.
I cannot recommend Candice enough! From the very first session, she made me feel cared for--not just as a mom navigating breastfeeding, but as a whole person. Her attention to both mama and baby is unmatched. She's warm, nurturing, incredibly knowledgeable, and never makes you feel judged. What really stood out is how much she genuinely loves her work--she celebrates the wins, holds your hand through the challenges, offers creative solutions, and even checks in afterwards to make sure you're supported beyond the appointment. Breastfeeding can feel overwhelming, but with her encouragement I felt more confident and cared for every step of the way. If you're looking for someone who brings both expertise and heart, Candice is the one.

Candice is an incredible lactation consultant who truly made a difference in my breastfeeding journey. When I was about to give up just a month in, she assessed my situation and provided the support I desperately needed. We worked on my latch and explored comfortable breastfeeding positions that allowed me to rest and heal. What stood out the most was her dedication to my success. She answered every question I had, including how to manage my high lipase issue, ensuring that my pumped milk wouldn’t spoil. Candice consistently checked in to make sure both my baby and I were thriving and happy. Thanks to her guidance, I was able to exclusively breastfeed for over a year. I am incredibly grateful for the special bond that breastfeeding created between my baby and me—it's a connection I will always cherish. I can’t recommend Candice enough; she is a true lifesaver for any breastfeeding mother!

My husband and I hired Candice as a lactation consultant a few weeks after I gave birth. I was having such a hard time breastfeeding. My baby seemed to have a reflux issue after nursing. I contacted her pediatrician and was advised to hold her up for 20 minutes after nursing. I did that and that still didn’t solve the problem. I also had a forceful letdown. When my daughter was nursing, she was also choking on my milk. I reached out to the Lactation Department at my doctor’s office and they also didn’t help much. I was getting so frustrated with breastfeeding. One night, I got up to feed my daughter and she kept refusing to nurse. I got so scared and worried that she would refuse indefinitely. I was so scared and anxious and I reached out to Candice for help. My friend had given me her number a few weeks before my due date. She told me to contact her if I needed help. I’m so glad I did. I was a wreck when I reached out to Candice. She was so reassuring and scheduled to meet up with me and my husband a few days later. I couldn’t wait for that day to come. She gave us so much helpful information and she showed me the best way to nurse my daughter so that my forceful letdown was under control. Just a simple tweak to the way I positioned my daughter helped so much. She also gave us so much necessary information. She was truly a Godsend. Hiring her was some of the best money I’ve ever spent. Before she left, she told me to text or call her anytime if I had a question. You know what? She was true to her word. Even months after our appointment, she would check in on me and answer any questions I had. She even sent me a guide on introducing my daughter to solid foods. As time went on, I no longer needed to bombard her with questions. She gave me the confidence I needed to continue on this difficult yet rewarding journey of feeding my daughter. Candice is truly an awesome, genuine, sweet, and caring woman. She loves what she does and it shows. I’m happy she does this kind of work. We need support and sometimes it’s easy to feel like some people don’t care about your struggles. Candice cares and she also has solutions for your problems. Please hire her if you can. I will be keeping her number in my phone forever. She’s not only a great lactation consultant, she’s also a friend. God bless you, Candice.

I first met Candice when my first son was about nine days old. I was having trouble with latching, with over supply, with frankly not knowing what the F to do because I was a first-time parent and I was told that breast-feeding was supposed to be easy. In walks Candice to change my life. Even though I was able to get my son to latch, with Candice’s guidance, my anxiety was frankly too high to continue with the unknowns of nursing. Like, how much was he getting? I couldn’t take the uncertainty. Again, I was a first time mom. She helped me realize that for my first son, the best plan was exclusively pumping. Which I did, for 13 months, and continues to feed him with my frozen milk for 15 months. I knew I wanted my nursing journey to be different for my second child, so when I found out I was pregnant, Candice was literally the second person I texted. I wanted to make sure that she was able to be at the hospital with me when I gave birth. Which she was. She held my hand through tongue ties and lip ties and over supply and latching and all of the things that could possibly happen during the first couple months postpartum. I can proudly say that with Candice‘s support and expertise and love and genuine caring, I nursed my second son for over two years, exclusively. I would recommend Candice to anybody who is wanting a partner to walk through this journey with them. I actually told somebody recently - Candice was my MVP of postpartum.

I cannot recommend Candice enough! We had the pleasure of working with her after the birth of our premature newborn, and she was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we reached out, she was incredibly responsive and made herself available to come to our house for a hands-on consultation. She took the time to address all of our concerns and was so patient with us as we navigated breastfeeding. She showed us different positions to help make breastfeeding more comfortable and effective for both me and my baby, which made a huge difference right away. She was also so knowledgeable about caring for our preemie and really helped ease some of our anxieties around his feeding. What truly sets her apart, though, is how responsive she's been post-consultation. She continues to be available via text, answering any and all questions, no matter how small. Her ongoing support has been invaluable and has really given us peace of mind during such an overwhelming time. If you're looking for a lactation consultant who is not only professional and skilled but also incredibly kind, attentive, and supportive, Candice is the one you want. She's been a lifesaver for our family! We hope to schedule another consultation with her!

Candice is more than just an awesome LC...she is the best support system you can imagine. I met Candice 2.5 years ago when I was suffering through severe mastitis with my first born. I was 5 weeks postpartum and was unable to navigate bf under a cloud of confusion, exhaustion, and my rapidly decreasing health. Candice met with me virtually within 24 hours of my request and was able to guide me to get the emergency medical help I didn't realize I needed ASAP. Candice was there for me while I was shuffled between emergency departments, rushed to surgery and had to recover quickly to get back to caring for my newborn. Along with my husband, she was my crutch and all in all my rockstar health advocate! When I got pregnant with my second little one, I knew I needed her on my side early. Candice was ready to jump back in and help me all over again. Candice is informative, non judgmental, accessible & super friendly. I love working with her and so do my babies/toddler. She helped me prioritize my health so I can be the best mama for my babies. What more can a mama ask for??! I have referred Candice to so many expecting, new and experienced mamas around me - and she has helped every single one! So grateful for the best care!

I have a whole new baby because of Candice. I was having an extremely stressful time breastfeeding my daughter. When she turned 4 weeks it's like she turned into a different baby and cried when I put her down for her naps. She also made these gurgling noises and she'd spit up and cry. She was even crying while feeding and then refusing to feed. Initially, I thought she had acid reflux. I contacted her pediatrician and was told to keep her elevated for 20 minutes after each feeding and cut out dairy. I did those things and they didn't help. One day, I realized that perhaps my forceful letdown had something to do with her discomfort during and after feeding. My boobs literally spray milk into my daughter's mouth while she feeds. It's like she's being waterboarded every time I fed her. I tried different positions; I tried compressing my boob while she fed; I tried pumping before feeding her. Nothing was working. My daughter and I were growing increasingly frustrated. I even reached out to the Lactation Department through my insurance for help. All they really do is watch me feed her, say I'm doing a good job, and weigh her afterwards. I was at the end of my rope after a night of my daughter refusing to eat and fearing that I'd never be able to breastfeed successfully. I was an emotional wreck when I reached out to Candice. Within a couple days she was in my home teaching me how to properly hold my daughter while breastfeeding. She's a Godsend. She helped me make small adjustments that have made a huge positive impact on how I breastfeed. She was so encouraging and gave me and my husband a wealth of information. She even brought my husband into the mix by showing him how to comfort my daughter by holding her certain ways. I seriously could have cried. I'm so thankful that I reached out to Candice and that I even knew to do so because my friend gave me her number. I have a peaceful and happy baby! When Candice was leaving, my daughter smiled at her as if to say, "Thank you so much for being my voice". I'm smiling too and thanking Candice for giving me the tools and confidence to care for my baby.

Before I say anything if you're on the fence about contacting Candice , just do it!! Do it now!! You and your baby deserve the peace of mind and all of the support, so just do it. My family and I are so grateful we found Candice! I thought after successfully nursing my first son for three years I would be a pro with my second. Wrong! I was feeling so down on myself because I knew something was wrong I just didn't know what. I had an idea but I needed professional help to tell me yes that's it, or no but this is how we can fix it. Candice's presence puts you at ease. She truly loves what she does and just wants to give mothers the support and help that they need. We luckily only had to complete once session but since then she has checked up on me multiple times weeks and weeks after, and that honestly means so much to me! I truly wish every mom had a woman like Candice in their life, especially the first few days / weeks after giving birth. It's crucial for mom and baby's well being. The encouragement, confidence, and kindness that Candice provided for me and my baby and family with was really priceless! I cannot say enough good things about her! I've referred her to all my mom friends to be.
- Jennifer H.
There are no words to describe how much I adore Candice. I didn't meet her until I had my 3rd baby and I wish I had had her for all of them! My 3rd birth experience was very difficult and the recovery took months, which made my breastfeeding journey much harder this time around. I knew I needed help and I am so grateful I was referred to Candice. Candice is an incredible wealth of knowledge about breastfeeding, helping me with latching, positions, understanding my baby's cues, etc. But her help goes FAR beyond that. Candice constantly checked in with me about how I was doing postpartum, physically, mentally, and emotionally, checking in on any signs of postpartum depression and giving me a safe space to be exactly where I was at any given day. Candice has the gift of making you feel so seen and so important when she is with you - our first session felt like I was with an old friend. I can't tell you how many times I reached out to Candice with a question or just to vent, and she was (and still is) a source of knowledge, wisdom, guidance, and strength for me. In addition to breastfeeding, my baby was refusing the bottle for a while which made it impossible for me to go back to work. I scheduled an appointment with Candice and she helped me learn how to address the issue within one session. I had no idea a lactation consultant could help me with bottle feeding too, and it was a life saver! I have referred every girlfriend of mine as well as my sister to Candice. I truly cannot recommend her highly enough. If you are a mama in need of some support, PLEASE contact her and know that you and your baby will be so, so loved and well cared for.
- Anna May R.
Candice is an absolute angel! She is so passionate and knowledgeable, I immediately felt comfortable with her in my home and with my newborn. I have already given out her information to my pediatrician and to all of my friends who are expecting! I could not recommend her enough! Will be the best thing you will ever do for yourself and your newborn!
- Kendall B.
Candice is one of the most caring individuals you could ever meet. She is honest, kind, and extremely helpful. She also happens to be a fantastic mom. She will be patient and loving in your time of need.
- Lori C.
Candice is very patient, kind and will be the best person to have in your corner with your new baby. She is knowledgeable, encouraging and takes a holistic view (bio-psycho-social) perspective to your care. It's great to have someone who excels at what they do and you can really see the passion she has for her work. So happy I found her!
- Adrienne H.
Most loving and patient lactation consultant! The quality of care she provides is beyond any mother's expectations. She knows exactly what your baby needs and is really a baby whisperer! I love how efficient the experience from the initial office call to helping bring my beautiful baby into this world. Seriously the best doula any mom could ask for! I mean you really don't want to have to think of anything but the baby and how you are feeling and what you are feeling, and she provided the communication I needed to execute the best labor I could have ever imagined. Being a single mom it could be a very scary situation but with the services that Candice provides I really was in tuned with my baby with not worrying about asking uncomfortable requests from the nurses and doctors. Plus latching the baby was the best experience because of her! Thank you CANDICE!! We love you!
- Stephenie M.
This review is long overdue!!! I'm so blessed to have met Candice she helped me extremely with breastfeeding. My baby was born lip and tongue tied. It was very difficult in the beginning because of her latch, but once she received the procedure she was great. With Candice guidance we were able to breastfeed. Candice is amazing and when she came to my house for the first time it was like if we had known her forever! She is very patient and wants what's best for you and the family! I love her so much and I can't wait to call her again one I have another little one

Candice was an absolute lifesaver for me and my little girl. Having her as a lactation consultant is like having a personal breast-feeding cheerleader, and she's incredibly knowledgeable and helpful as well as encouraging. When we got home from the hospital, my baby wasn't really gaining weight. We couldn't figure out why, the lactation specialist at the hospital and said everything looked good and her pediatrician had said he thought she didn't have a tongue tie. We started supplementing with expressed milk and formula, and I asked Candice to come help. In the initial consultation, she helped both with improving latching but also recommended a tongue tie specialist in the area I could take my girl to in order to get a second opinion. She also gave me advice on how to keep up my supply even as we supplemented with formula. It turned out my daughter did have a severe tongue tie, and that was preventing her from breast-feeding properly. She had the tongue tie fixed at that doctors recommendation and we did all the stretches and exercises after. About a week and a half after the surgery, I met with Candice again -- we practiced latching and feeding positions, and did a weighted feed. When all that went well, she encouraged me to go back to fully breast-feeding. I was anxious but it's gone great! Since then, I've been exclusively breast-feeding, and my daughter is gaining weight at the exact right rate! Before meeting with Candice, I was afraid my breast-feeding journey was going to be cut short but with her help, we're entirely back on track and thriving!

I first met Candice when I was struggling with nursing my first child (in June 2020) - we met when my son was 9 days old and I consider Candice to this day one of the smartest, most caring people in my life! With my first, she helped me navigate exclusive pumping; troubleshooting with me when I had clogged ducts (several times!). When I got pregnant with my second child, I knew that I needed Candice by my side from the start - so she was literally the second person I texted once we had the 8 week scan. When it was time to give birth to my second, Candice met me at the hospital so that we could start off strong this go-around! And we DID - thanks to her! But she didn't stop there - Candice was there for ENDLESS text support, and in-person support once I was home. She also advised on suspected ties and we got those revised. I can 1000% say that Candice was my biggest cheerleader in both breastfeeding journeys. She is so supportive and always on your team - never judgmental. I just love her so much and am so grateful to have her in my life!
- Lindsey L.
This girl named Candice! I am telling you she made breastfeeding so seamless for us. I am on the east coast and had my first and only daughter during COVID. No visitation capabilities so my mother could not be with me. I was terrified at the possibility of not finding my daughter food in the grocery stores due the the pandemic. I wrote Candice on IG and didn't expect to hear back but I did and I am so glad! She was able to set up a zoom call with me to help guide me on what to do with anything from different feeding positions to what to do about the sore nipples and fear later down the road with supply dips and how to increase it. This girl is amazing and well worth the investment. I was able to breastfeeding feed my beautiful girl for 14 months and I wouldn't trade that blessing for nothing in the world. The bond I have with my baby is one that I truly believe was enriched by each feeding. Thank you so much Candice Vanessa
- Vanessa C.
I'm SO happy that I sought help from Candace after weeks of uncertainty on whether I would be able to continue to breastfeed. I thought that I wouldn't need any help with breastfeeding and knew everything I needed to know, but I was wrong. After weeks of confusion, I decided that I needed help. Candace is amazing! She provided a wealth of knowledge at our consultation and assured me that I was doing great. Prior to meeting with Candace, I had lost all confidence in myself when it came to breastfeeding my baby. My confidence has returned and I feel more than capable of being able to breastfeed my baby. She has also answered so many questions that I have had throughout these past few months, and it has always been just overall great support. I would highly recommend Candace's expertise to anyone who is struggling with breastfeeding. Thank you!
- Gabriella G.
Candice is amazing. I gave birth at Kaiser and while my birthing experience was wonderful my experience with the lactation clinic there was absolutely terrible. When I first came home with baby, I felt like I would nurse and nurse and nurse her for hours and it seemed like she was latching OK but was constantly hungry. I was so confused and upset. I found Candice from a google search, and I am so grateful that we decided to call her. The process of setting up a consultation was painless. She was on time and came in and first and foremost brought such peace and kindness and compassion to me. As a first time mom I was and still am extremely emotional about breast-feeding and was so distraught that it seemed like it wasn't working and I didn't know why. After our first consultation, Candice advised that she thought my baby girl probably had some kind of tongue tie and offered recommendations for where to go. We wound up going through Kaiser and sure enough she had a tie which was revised in a quick procedure that barely bothered my little one. Honestly, she cries more when she's getting a diaper changed than she did during this procedure. Candice came back for a follow up after my baby's little mouth had a chance to heal and sure enough my little one nursed a full 3 ounces from me in our follow up. It was truly a joyful moment, and one that Candice and I shared together. Her joy and excitement in that moment solidified what I already knew from our first visit, which is that this is not just a job for her. This is her calling. She rides the wave with each of her individual clients and their babies. She navigates their successes and challenges, their unique needs with such care and specificity. Candice continues to advise me and answer all my questions and most importantly has never once made me feel like any of my concerns or feelings weren't valid or important. I know that I would've given up breast-feeding and believed that there was something wrong with me if I hadn't reached out to Candice and gotten her help. My baby girl just turned two months old yesterday and we continue to breast-feed every day. Thank you, Candice!!

Candice is the best!!! I first enlisted her help with my daughter back in 2020 when I really struggled with breast feeding after coming home from the hospital. She was patient and professional and an absolute joy to work with. After just having my son last month, I actually called Candice a few weeks before I was due to come over to help me clean organize my pumping equipment and discuss my goals and plan for breastfeeding the second time around. Baby boy ended up coming earlier than planned and she was a our house the day after we got home, ready to jump in with whatever I needed! Not only is Candice extremely knowledgeable, but she has helped build my confidence with nursing and constantly reminds me that I need to put myself first no matter what. She remains a constant resource and is always available to text with random questions and concerns, day or night. Can't recommend her enough!
- Audriana R.
As a first time mom 3 years ago, I was having so many thoughts in my had. My hormones were all over the place. The only thing I knew I wanted at the time was that I wanted to exclusively breastfeed my baby. However I didn't know how or what to do. I remember one night I was searching online desperately in search of help. Thank God I found Candice, she replied right away. I couldn't believe it, she immediately answered all my questions and had my back ever since. Candice is Amazing! She is a fighter, she is the type of person that won't give up and will be by your side. I really look up to her, she is my "Hero"!
- Veronica A.
I love Candice! She has been such a big help to me as a new mom and for my family by helping navigate breastfeeding. She was able to calm me down when first home from the hospital. As a first time mom I was very anxious about all the things and she was able to get me on track with exclusively pumping. Working with her is like working with an old friend or sister. I am still going strong on my journey and I still reach out to her with questions. So do yourself a favor and hire her. You won't regret it!
- Ciara L.
As a new dad and doing a lot of research I was very skeptical when I first started this journey. That skepticism was quickly dismissed by the professionalism and the caring service that I received. If you are looking for someone that can truly connect and understand the struggles then you have found it. You will not find a better option!
- Michael S.
Candice is AMAZING. She really knows her stuff. I was blocked and having a nightmare of a time. She whisked in here like a true superhero and saved the day. Her knowledge and experience are magnificent. I highly recommend her for all of your lactation needs and support.
