About me

Hey! My name is Candice Echeverria, and I have been a lactation consultant for over ten years. I received my International Board Certification in 2023 and have helped hundreds of families overcome basic to more severe breastfeeding and infant feeding challenges. My goal is to make you feel safe and comfortable expressing whatever your concerns might be, so we can process the emotions and feelings that are tied to what you are experiencing. We will go over all of your questions, find solutions for whatever might be bringing you discomfort, and move forward with plans of action that make you feel as calm and confident in caring for your baby as possible. I hope to help you understand the basic functions of breastfeeding, relax in positions that are stress- and pain-free, and help you design a feeding plan that works best for you and your family. Hopefully, we'll get some laughs in there, too! I look forward to meeting you and working with your family. With Love & Liquid Gold, Candice N. Echeverria, IBCLC, Prenatal Educator, and Single Mama

My husband and I hired Candice as a lactation consultant a few weeks after I gave birth. I was having such a hard time breastfeeding. My baby seemed to have a reflux issue after nursing. I contacted her pediatrician and was advised to hold her up for 20 minutes after nursing. I did that and that still didn’t solve the problem. I also had a forceful letdown. When my daughter was nursing, she was also choking on my milk. I reached out to the Lactation Department at my doctor’s office and they also didn’t help much. I was getting so frustrated with breastfeeding. One night, I got up to feed my daughter and she kept refusing to nurse. I got so scared and worried that she would refuse indefinitely. I was so scared and anxious and I reached out to Candice for help. My friend had given me her number a few weeks before my due date. She told me to contact her if I needed help. I’m so glad I did. I was a wreck when I reached out to Candice. She was so reassuring and scheduled to meet up with me and my husband a few days later. I couldn’t wait for that day to come. She gave us so much helpful information and she showed me the best way to nurse my daughter so that my forceful letdown was under control. Just a simple tweak to the way I positioned my daughter helped so much. She also gave us so much necessary information. She was truly a Godsend. Hiring her was some of the best money I’ve ever spent. Before she left, she told me to text or call her anytime if I had a question. You know what? She was true to her word. Even months after our appointment, she would check in on me and answer any questions I had. She even sent me a guide on introducing my daughter to solid foods. As time went on, I no longer needed to bombard her with questions. She gave me the confidence I needed to continue on this difficult yet rewarding journey of feeding my daughter. Candice is truly an awesome, genuine, sweet, and caring woman. She loves what she does and it shows. I’m happy she does this kind of work. We need support and sometimes it’s easy to feel like some people don’t care about your struggles. Candice cares and she also has solutions for your problems. Please hire her if you can. I will be keeping her number in my phone forever. She’s not only a great lactation consultant, she’s also a friend. God bless you, Candice.

I first met Candice when my first son was about nine days old. I was having trouble with latching, with over supply, with frankly not knowing what the F to do because I was a first-time parent and I was told that breast-feeding was supposed to be easy. In walks Candice to change my life. Even though I was able to get my son to latch, with Candice’s guidance, my anxiety was frankly too high to continue with the unknowns of nursing. Like, how much was he getting? I couldn’t take the uncertainty. Again, I was a first time mom. She helped me realize that for my first son, the best plan was exclusively pumping. Which I did, for 13 months, and continues to feed him with my frozen milk for 15 months. I knew I wanted my nursing journey to be different for my second child, so when I found out I was pregnant, Candice was literally the second person I texted. I wanted to make sure that she was able to be at the hospital with me when I gave birth. Which she was. She held my hand through tongue ties and lip ties and over supply and latching and all of the things that could possibly happen during the first couple months postpartum. I can proudly say that with Candice‘s support and expertise and love and genuine caring, I nursed my second son for over two years, exclusively. I would recommend Candice to anybody who is wanting a partner to walk through this journey with them. I actually told somebody recently - Candice was my MVP of postpartum.

I cannot recommend Candice enough! We had the pleasure of working with her after the birth of our premature newborn, and she was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we reached out, she was incredibly responsive and made herself available to come to our house for a hands-on consultation. She took the time to address all of our concerns and was so patient with us as we navigated breastfeeding. She showed us different positions to help make breastfeeding more comfortable and effective for both me and my baby, which made a huge difference right away. She was also so knowledgeable about caring for our preemie and really helped ease some of our anxieties around his feeding. What truly sets her apart, though, is how responsive she's been post-consultation. She continues to be available via text, answering any and all questions, no matter how small. Her ongoing support has been invaluable and has really given us peace of mind during such an overwhelming time. If you're looking for a lactation consultant who is not only professional and skilled but also incredibly kind, attentive, and supportive, Candice is the one you want. She's been a lifesaver for our family! We hope to schedule another consultation with her!
