Prior to becoming an IBCLC, I was a breastfeeding mother of two. I struggled to breastfeed my first born and I was so determined to make it work! I found it very hard to find lactation support, so I did a lot of late night/ breastfeeding session google searching for answers! It was not pretty! The advice online was not helpful as everyone had a different experience! I finally found a few county IBCLCs who helped me, and the rest was history. I breastfed my first for 23 months and my second for over 3 years. I quickly knew a few months after my first was born that I wanted to be the support to other families struggling to breastfeed their babies. My lactation work spans the full clinical spectrum—from establishing breastfeeding in the immediate postpartum period to managing complex feeding challenges such as low milk supply, delayed lactogenesis, post-cesarean lactation, and infants with dysregulated feeding patterns. I am an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, parent educator, and mother of four with personal experience breastfeeding my four children through a variety of challenges for about six years. My nursing experience includes two years in NICU. I'm not currently licensed in California as a registered nurse. As a new mother, I was so thankful to have in-home support.
